First, working with Russell at the property management company was great. He was very responsive and checked in via email during our stay. The property itself was just okay. It does need alot of maintenance. As stated in the other reviews, the floors are worn and the fan in the living room wouldn't turn on. A lot of the lights wouldn't turn on either. The ice maker didnt work, the drawers in the kitchen didnt slide open easily and every burner on the stove was tilted so everything you cooked slid out of the pan. Outside on the porch there was a broken chair with screws sticking out of it ( not good with kids around) and none of the porch lights worked. We had 8 adults and five children but there were only 8 bath towels in the whole house. More were supposed to be dropped off but they never showed up. Given there are so many other short term rentals available in the area, I wouldn't choose this property for my next stay.

Great location. House very nice.
4.0 / 5.0
Positives: Plenty of room/ Kitchen really well stocked with plenty of glasses/plates & utensils etc and /comfortable beds/Walking distance to the beach.
Negatives: large ceiling fan in family room didn’t work but the A/C made up for it and kept it cool. The porch lights didn’t work, the front stove eye was so slanted we had to hold on to the pan to keep it from sliding off. The shower door in the upstairs bath wouldn’t stay closed and the floor would get wet with every shower. The grill was old and nasty. There was a window broken upstairs (probably from the recent hurricane.BUT- all in all we enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time!

This house was great for family! Size was perfect!
Location was great! We had such a great time !
Just a few suggestions. Downstairs shower needs to be fixed. Water pressure great but didn’t come out of shower head properly. Laundry room doors need to be fixed so they can close. Mattress on pullout couch was so thin we couldn’t sleep on it without using other mattress as a pad.
Those are very small things compared to the rest of this house. So great!! Would definitely come back!!!

We had 17 individuals with us today, and everyone had a wonderful time!

This home is beautiful however the AC would barely keep up. We couldn’t change the thermostat lower than 70 because it was locked- Many times the upstairs was hotter than outside. Sleeping 75+ degrees and the downstairs main living room fan was not working. We had to purchase multiple fans to keep as cool as possible but did not sleep well. Bring fans!

Loved the easy access to the beach. All the kitchen appliances that were available came in handy! We couldn’t get the living room fan to come on, but other than that, it was awesome!

Great house needs flooring updates. Location is great but if you need maintenance do not expect them to show up. Other then that it was ok.

We loved our stay in this 4-bedroom Beach Home about 24 mins from Galveston.Easy check-in!Both balconies have ocean view. The 2 primary bedrooms both have king-sized beds. One mattress was super firm--great for back after a long day!The pictures are slightly different than what is there now.Living room furniture is worn but comfortable, and the flooring in downstairs living area has been repaired and doesn't quite fit the repaired space.Pics show the house has a dog run, which it does not.Kitchen has LOTS of dishes, flatware, cups, mugs, steak knives, bakeware, pots & pans, and small electrics!!!Way more than I was expecting!Coffee is provided! Also, there is a full-size refrigerator upstairs--very convenient! The upstairs shower is BEAUTIFUL. Nicer than pics! The beds were all very sturdy, and light switches were marked.Washer and dryer are large capacity.Kitchen counter and cabinet space were AMAZING!Public beach is directly across from the neighborhood entrance. You can easily walk.We drove and parked on the beach. We backed the car up to the shoreline and set up the canopy and beach chairs.Incredible day at the beach!!The shower on the bottom level of the home is super convenient and there is a garden hose for rinsing off all of the sand before heading upstairs to the house. The BBQ pit and outdoor firepit were a nice touch and the host maintained EXCELLENT communication!!Plenty of towels and the home was VERY clean! We would stay here again! Definitely recommend!

Overall the house was nice.

I turned a hose on under a house and the water main pvc pipe burst and starting leaking water. Noticed the water about to flood the yard. Took off the top cover to turn water off and empty the residual water sitting in the box to see what was wrong. We turned the water on for a second to see where the leak was and the whole fitting cracked. Had no running water, toilets, or showers for a day and a half, we had to go to a friends house to use toilets and shower. It was overall clean when we first got there, but a broken drawer in the kitchen and the floor being all tore up. I don’t recommend staying here unless it’s for a night max. Not very well maintained.

The online pictures do not show some of the wear of this property, but overall it was still a very good choice. If you are not from the area, know that local restaurants are the only thing close by. If you need a grocery store or are used to city living, this location is a bit farther than it seems on a map. For some, that is a huge selling point, for others it is a bit of a surprise.
The parking was good with room for several cars.
The views from the porch were great and you could easily see the waves and the ocean.
The Internet was easy to access and plenty fast for streaming movies and doing some work remotely.
The included washer/dryer were a plus and came in handy.
The landlord/property manager was quick to respond to messages, which is appreciated.
Overall, this property offered a great value and I would return again.

Upon arriving and entering this home we were very disappointed. The pictures on this listing must have been from a loooooooooonnnnng time ago- A LOT of wear & tear has left only remnants of what is shown. As soon as you enter the front door you will see that about 10 foot area of flooring is torn up behind the couch that leads to the downstairs bedrooms. The main couch has two large rips (one is about a foot long and the chaise cushion no longer zips sooo the cover comes off if sat on) and stains. There were several other problems with the home including: duct taped bathroom window, upstairs toilet is not fully attached to floor so it rocks when you sit down, some drawers in the kitchen are screwed shut or fall apart when trying to open them. However, the most upsetting part of the house was the cleanliness. My husband and I arrived with our children before our other family members so we spent the first day cleaning the doors and walls by the vents due to caked on dust and moping the floors. The floors will for sure turn your feet black- seeing our children's feet and knees after that first day was the most upsetting factor about staying here. We contacted the owner/s and made them aware of the issues, at first he was responsive but did not reply after we sent pictures and asked what would be done to resolve the discrepancies. Since our visit, we did notice a price decrease that is more reasonable considering what you are actually getting when you rent this home.

I would rent again

We had 12 women staying here for 3 nights. It worked out so well for us. The property manager emailed several times to see if we needed anything. It was very peaceful. The floor could use some work but overall it was a fantastic place to stay.
2.0 / 5.0
This property is poorly maintained. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the broken windows and broken garage door. The living room has missing flooring which is a hazard for small children. Also, my husband had to throw his socks away from all the animal hair and debris on the floors. There was still food behind the trash can, trash between the bed, and coffee left in the coffee pot. All of the fans were covered in dust. The sofa is torn and covered in dirt and stains. The photos online do not reflect the condition of this home. I will not leave 5 stars to receive one because other patrons should be aware of the condition especially those with smaller children.

The management company is so unprofessional! They listed the house on multiple platforms and allowed it to get double booked. We arrived at the same time as the other family when we discovered their mistake. They offered no help whatsoever to find another option. Renters beware!!

Was not very clean. Ceiling fan not working, some light bulbs out, no covering, breakfast chairs missing or broke

Lovely home, very close to the beach, walking distance. Plenty of beds and space for multiple families.

The property was so nice. The house was large and laid out well for a large group of people. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was large and well-stocked. The location was not beachfront, but was so close to the beach that it was easy to drive to the beach and park- approximately 3 minute drive! We had a great time and would definitely rent this property again!

We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Everything went as planned and the host made everything super convenient for us.

A great vacation home with plenty of room for our family of 5 and dog. We had a great Spring Break, enjoyed the outdoor seating, and views of the ocean. I would have given it 5 stars, but there were several maintenance issues. Nothing that can’t be easily fixed. We also recommend adding TVs in the bedrooms. We’d definitely stay again. The property manager is very responsive.

Great family vacation!
We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our mixed-aged group of 11. The beach was an easy walk away, but we sometimes drove since you could park right on the beach. It was very convenient! It was about a 30 minute drive into Galveston and we enjoyed our time there, also.

Terramar Beach Fathers Day Weekend
We really enjoyed the property during our stay from Friday to Monday. The house was fantastic with lots of room for our group of 7 adults and 4 kids, it was laid our great and everyone was very comfortable inside and outside. The neighbor was awesome very close to the beach, walking distance in 5 minutes, a community pool and boat launch is available. The kitchen which we used plenty was well equipped and roomy for everyone who wanted to help out. Local stores & restaurants were nearby and handy to drive to. We will look to book this property again on our future trips to Galveston. Thanks!

Do not stay here!
This house was not as advertised. We were very disappointed with the house, and the property manager told us that we could leave a day early and receive a refund for that day as long as we were out by noon. We were out by noon, and now the owner is refusing to refund us the money for one day. Do not stay here.

Extra night in Galveston
We stayed an extra night in Galveston, and the homeowners here were so accommodating. We were originally scheduled to leave a day earlier, but decided to extend the trip and booked this for another night because we absolutely loved it. Short walk to the beach, 20 foot ceilings and fantastic beach vibe. We will return!!!
