In a world where one often feels the difficulties of finding a business that cares, The San Luis Resort completely changes that perspective! Every aspect of our time here was executed perfectly. From valet parking, to check in, poolside service to room service and what may be the coolest restaurant/bar concept I have come across, we are so pleased. Every single dish or beverage we have had on property has been excellent- they make everything here, in house. We decided to have cocktails at the bar and discovered that you can order dinner from any one of the restaurants on site… Do not miss this opportunity!! Liberty, the head bartender was really great and the service manager gave us recommendations for each course and we decided to try them all! She really was such a bonus to our night!! The San Luis truly provides an upscale experience. Shantel with the room service team was warm and funny while taking our order and our items arrived within 20 minutes! (Unheard of today) I could go on but just need to say, staying here allowed us to slow down for a couple of days. We are refreshed and so happy with our experience⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an amazing time and experience stay at the San Luis Resort

Had dinner in "The Steakhouse" in the hotel, it was amazing. Steak was incredible. Hotel has a great view of the water. And service was great as well.
4.3
The San Luis was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Attended a Wedding and everything was great.

It was our first stay after finally getting a weekend together as we work long hours and it was disappointing.
The room was not up to par, TV was broken, noticable mold and extreme dust in shower and vents. I took pics and showed the front desk and they were also surprised! I already have bad sinus/allergy issues and it did not help.
The did take a few bucks off but not worth what we paid to stay there.
Asked for a hair dryer amd they literally brought up a very obviously broken hair dryer after we waited almost 45 minutes. When it was turned in it sounded like it was about to burn up. The second dryer was not in good working order either.
They just didn't live up to what that hotel charges. We expected way more from our first stay there.

Amazing property. This was not our first visit and we will definitely return.

The staff was wonderful. The storm took out the service elevators and only one elevator was available. Took one hour to get down from the 15 floor. Rain was coming in from ceiling in their beautiful lobby.

When we arrived we had planned on going to the pool & hanging out at the swim up bar. This was the whole reason we booked this hotel. Well it was 86 & sunny outside & we were told it was closed because of the weather. Front desk told us it would reopen momentarily & one of the cabana boys told us it was not reopening at all that day. Needless to say, my husband & I were extremely upset about this. For me to spend that much on a room & not be able to use all the amenities that are advertised is a disgrace. We will never stay at this Resort again. Everyone we talked to told us a different story. Well we left to go have drinks somewhere else & several hours later they finally reopened the pool bar. I had planned this stay for my husbands birthday & for the majority of the trip we were very upset from this incident & did not enjoy ourselves at all whatsoever. Such a waste of money, never again!!

The rooms are out dated and aren’t really good taken car off the hotel has a lot of cracks and drywall coming off.
The bar and steak restaurant had really good service. Then servers at the swim up bar and the sit down bar were very friendly and had good customer service

Location is great, just a few walks to the beach. The room need renovation, it was a bit outdated considering its price.

Love my stay
4.3
Loved everything about it!

The restaurants and service at the restaurants were wonderful. 5 of 5 stars. Poolside service was lacking on a small Sunday crowd. Was not able to order at the bar since we couldn’t get the bar tenders attention. None of the poolside servers came to us for ordering. When we flagged one down, she said it was shift change and she couldn’t help us. We are locals and came to lay around by the pool for a night stay and were disappointed in the lack of service. The pool and hot tub were also extremely cloudy. Also our room was missing a balcony chair, so only one of us could sit out there. Room was clean and nice, but the hallway and common area on our floor (6) could have used a vacuum.

It was hot all night n all they said was we can have a late check out smh

The resort was very nice. Staff members were so friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, a bit run down in the room it’s self tho for the price. Needed a really good clean and our shower converter wouldn’t work. Room Service button on the phone did not work either.
4.3
I took my 2 Grandkids to the beach we stayed here, so convenient and safe with easy walking to beach area
4.3
I didn’t like that the showers need to be updated water runs outside of the shower door.
Rooms need to be updated
I liked the 10th floor was adults only and you have Free water / coffee/ snacks/ fruit

The resort is in a convenient location if you are planning to visit the beach. All rooms are facing the beach and the view is amazing. The only downside is parking. If you don’t choose valet parking for $32 per night you have to park on the back side of the hotel. When I checked out to my surprise there was a $15 charge per night to self park.

Beautiful place to stay. I loved the bar in the pool. Such a nice touch to the resort. The bathroom was spacious. Our view was pretty. I already miss it.
4.3
Pool bar was extremely slow and smelled awful! Hair in bathroom. Needed to be cleaned better. Rooms a little dated. Needs to be updated.

The room smelled like mildew and was very warm would not cool down . Valet was very rude on check out and was very un attentive when I said I didn’t have cash to tip . Very dissatisfied with the room very expensive should have been a better experience. Probably will not stay again and definitely will not recommend.

Amazing. By far the best hotel in Galveston.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this resort, I booked it for my husband birthday weekend and OMG!!! It felt like we were on island out of the country, and I’m a Houstonian it was so beautiful and so CLEAN, I have OCD, and this place definitely put my mind at ease. The overall staff were so nice and friendly. I told them while booking my reservation that it was my husband’s birthday and they nailed everything I asked for to make his weekend extra special.

4.3
Very nice stay… Service was great at the front desk, but the pool area service was lacking.
4.3
My 6 year old got stuck in the restroom with a broke sliding door that was off the rail. The toilet tissue goes was broken and the toilet did not flush well. Expected more for $700 a night
4.3
Rooms are ok but the pool is small and one of the valet attendants was more than obnoxious
