This vacation rental is located on the property of Smugglers’ Notch Resort, so you'll enjoy access to some of the finest skiing and snowboarding in the eastern United States. Beginners will love taking it easy on Curley's Cutback and Midway, while advanced skiers can shred Birch Run and Ruthie's. There are ski runs for everyone here, with access to beginner (green), intermediate (blue), and advanced (black diamond) terrain available. Ski school and private lessons are also available for kids (and adults too)! After a day on the slopes, enjoy an après-ski meal at one of the resort’s on-site restaurants, such as Hearth & Candle.
During other seasons, you’ll be just minutes from one of the region’s top disc golf courses, hiking trails, one of the nation’s best ziplines, and a variety of other outdoor activities. Numerous mountain biking trails are located a short ride away as well. In winter and summer, let the free, on-demand shuttle take you anywhere on the resort property, including to the slopes, multiple restaurants, a pizzeria, a convenience store, and even a local Ben & Jerry’s, all located within a short drive in the Smugglers’ Notch village. In the summer, lace up your sneakers and access the village on foot via the convenient walking trail (though the shuttle is still available if you'd rather take it easy).
Hikers will love being a short drive from Vermont’s tallest peak, Mount Mansfield, and other great hiking and walking trails. Bikers and runners will find the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, New England's longest rail trail at a whopping 93 miles in length, only 14 miles away. You can also see the whole area in a new way with Lamoille Valley Bike Tours or by paddling a canoe or kayak down the Lamoille River.
In addition to on-site shopping and dining located at Smugglers’ Notch, this home is located a short drive from the town of Jeffersonville, home to scrumptious breakfasts at 158 Main and local products at the Farm Store. Those visiting outside of the winter months will be a 28-mile drive through “The Notch” from the quaint town of Stowe, where you can explore the grounds of the famous Von Trapp Family Lodge, tee it up at Stowe Country Club, and take in the views at Stowe Mountain Resort. (Stowe Mountain Resort is only 4.5 miles away in the summer and fall, but once snow hits, Route 108 is closed until the snow melts in spring. We are Vermonters and come to Jeffersonville to have a family reunion on a nearby farm. We stay at smugg’s and take advantage of many of the pool (w/unit) and resort amenities & events (extras). The place is filled with friendly people, friendly staff, and offers safety, & comfort. It is easy because almost everything is there that you need. The bedrooms, dining, kitchen, open spaces are great for families. The only drawback for us is that the Eagles unit involves stairs, and we were lugging coolers, suitcases and toy boxes up and down stairs or around the corner on the grass to go thru the porch. If you can’t handle stairs, best find a unit that is on the entrance level.

We had such a great long weekend skiing and spending time in this beautiful condo!

Large, modern, clean unit with access to a nearby indoor + outdoor swimming pool and water slide. We had plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 kids. It seems like this space could comfortably fit up to 4 adults and 4 kids. It's a basement unit with two doors that open up to the building's backyard. In other parts of the resort this would be a privacy concern, but there's nothing but woods behind Eagles, so it was not a problem. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, meals, and drinks. We would stay here again!

Unit was a hazardous construction zone legally unsafe to stay. My elderly mother and I had to find a new place at 5pm on a Friday night and no one helped us! I instantly called VRBO and they blamed the property manager Vacasa. I then called Vacasa directly and they said they would call the local office and get back to us asap! They never called. I called Vrbo again there was a 45 minute wait. After driving five hours I had to leave with my elderly mom and stay at my sister’s two hours away. No refund or response from VRBO or Vacasa! Paid for a stay that never happened it is not the actual property owners fault because they probably did not know that both VRBO and Vacasa rented out their property during construction:( I took over 30 pictures for proof and have emailed all the evidence to VRBO and they still have not refunded the money:( I would recommend to always speak to a live person and never trust the automated responses because we could enter the property with no issues but it was an unsafe construction zone, thankfully I did not bring my nieces because they would have inhaled toxic construction dust. To this date 5/24/2023 neither VRBO or Vacasa property management have contacted me with an apology or anything. I sent over 10 emails as well and a robotic response was “we will have someone contact you from the local office” and I still have not received a single phone call:( I wanted to wait to review in hopes of VRBO or Vacasa refunding but still not resolved:(

Traveled with: 2 parents, 3 children aged 4, 4 and 6, 2 grandparents
Purpose of travel: skiing, family time
Accommodation pros: spacious, clean and well-equipped condo; lots of towels, soap, etc; kitchen had all the basic utensils/pots and pans for cooking, also had toaster and toaster oven, kettle and drip coffee maker; ski locker; steps away from community pool facility; easy to access resort shuttle to get to slope and restaurants; wifi worked well for all of our devices; easy check-in.
Cons: Not much! Not ski in/ski out (but we knew that); condo hot tub was unfortunately out of service for most of our stay, but was great for the one night it was working.
FYI, grocery options were a bit sparse in the immediate area of the resort (store had basics but hard to find produce especially) and most restaurants closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be sure to plan ahead for food.
Overall, Smuggler's Notch was an excellent resort for our inaugural family ski vacation (especially the all-day ski camp for kids!) and we will definitely go back.
If not wanting lift and staycation tickets for all days of your stay, booking this condo through VRBO/Vacasa is a great option -- we bought lift tickets and booked lessons online in advance for our ski days.

Great Family Stay
Spotless house! Beds in the four single room were horrendous... you could feel the springs. Location and bus service were amazing. Kitchen could use some baking sheets and more pots and pans. Overall this was a GREAT place.

Great Location, Good Place, Great Stay
This place was much bigger than expected which allowed for a great stay. A big kitchen, hallway for ski gear, spacious living room, and a master bathroom our stay here was great. The open concept in this condo was great while cooking meals and being able to communicate with others. Will defitnely be interested in coming back here.

Smuggs skiers
The unit had terrific views of the mountain. Found the unit to be very clean. Lock box / keyless entry was very convenient for a renter. We had a great time and would rent again.

Great unit
I was very pleased with our condo and stay. The unit was spacious and clean with a four season sunroom overlooking the mountain. Close to pool and the condo complex also had its own jacuzzi which was an added bonus! Will book again

Nice place
The condo accommodation was excellent. Very clean and spacious and we were most pleased with this.
The biggest problem we had was with the extras you need to pay for at Smugglers Notch and the property staff at the front desk were really not the best at communicating events and things going on around the property. Concerts and events on the green, restaurants options that were open, etc. were not communicated to us until the day before our departure, even though we had checked in there 3 days prior on the very first day we arrived.
Also we purchased the $79-99 per person 1-day pass which gives you access to the Fun Zone and water slides however the card machine at the Fun Zone was broken, the lines were out the door increasing wait times and they had also run out of game prizes for the kids. The swimming reservoir, which took us 20 min hiking through the woods to get to, had a 2.5 hour wait to use the trampoline and the beach was tiny and mobbed with people. We left immediately after finding this out and were so disappointed with this as we wasted so much time… and you only get one day to do everything. Which is so ridiculous given the price you pay! Overall seemed like a huge rip off honestly and I would not recommend spending that much again for what you actually get.
Really hoping there will be improvements with the activities next time we go back, otherwise not sure its worth a return trip. But the condo was nice so if you plan to leave Smuggs and do other things you will most likely be pleased.

Wonderful property for a family...with a few minor hiccups
This property was perfect for out family of 4 teens and 2 adults. Plenty of space and kitchen was spacious for kids to make their own snacks and meals. Amenities were great for an active family and entertaining for the kids ages 16 to 12. Every room was equipped with a TV and the bedroom with 4 single beds was great! Onsite shops were so helpful and easy as everything was closeby.
Now the hiccups - Air conditioning in the rooms were not even...it was freezing in one room and the master bedroom felt like it had no AC, so we had to sleep with the fan on. Also, aquatic center pool which we had passes for was closed one day due to a pipe problem. Kids went to another pool area and was turned away by the lifeguards, which is disappointing because they said our passes did not apply to that pool...the other pool was closed due to no fault of ours but yet they turned the kiclose by. I had to call to get my checking info the day of check in, even though a confirmation email said i was going to receive the wifi password and the lockbox code. That email never arrived, which is also disappointing.
All in all, our trip was great and I would have definitely given 5 stars. I do believe these are all customer service issues which definitely can be improved your next guest. Thank you!

Perfect family gathering place
My cousins and siblings stayed here (9 of us) for a mini reunion after my Dad’s celebration of life. The condo fit all of us comfortably - the living room was very spacious, the sun porch was great, and having the Adirondack chairs and picnic table just outside the back door could not have been more perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and never felt cramped with that many people. Everyone agreed that they would definitely stay here again. My only minor complaint is that 1.5 small rolls of toilet paper between two bathrooms in a condo that sleeps 10 is not enough, even as a “starter” pack.

Terrible
I was only able to use 2 of the three rooms as there was a flood that kept the floor wet for the whole week. We called many times to address it they came one time after 2 days and vacuumed up some of the water. Said it would be a day till it dried. It only got more soaked and smelled very bad. Also it took them a day to come out and fix a safety issues of the kids room door getting completely stuck so they could not open it. Finally asked the one service man to address the tub in th master bedroom as it was draining so very slow. Never heard from him. I also asked if people were vaccinated when they were coming in , they did not wear masks nor did they ever tell us if there person was vaccinated. Terrible, unsafe and I wand a refund

Great property for ski trip!
spacious unit for a group of 5-7 from the mid-atlantic, with thoughtful design elements lie ground level ski storage, lfor putting on/taking off ski gear, wel-equipped kitchen for cooking and hospitality, etc. The on-demand shuttle to Smuggs was awesome! Responsive management when a minor issue arose. My only beef was that the unit had been listed as 5 miles from Stowe - -wrong! For those of us not familiar with the roads, the 5 miles was only in the summer; in thew winter it was about an hour away.
