Beautiful quiet getaway.

i suppose since end of summer the near by pool was closed , we were unaware. Not much going on the days we were there.

Loved all the amenities and especially the myriad of swimming pools, hot tubs, lakes and hiking options. Summer at Smuggs is wonderful for all ages!

We had a great time during our weekend vacation. So many thing to do with kids even that the weather didn’t cooperate much.

Lots of extras for kids. They were quick to cancel tubing one night which left us disappointed.

Rooms and amenities needs updating. Most rooms outdated, pull out couch was uncomfortable for the kids. Lifts only hold two people.

Very nice family place. The housekeeping staff is unkind on the phone, but the room was practically located and nice.

It was very well maintained and we really liked our stay. The condo was spacious and we all had a good time.
The one negative I do want to highlight was the Mountain Grill Restaurant. The wait time was terrible. We gave 2 cards to the server to split the bill and both parts were on the same card. I wanted my leftover packed and he said he will do it but I never got the food back.

Our unit wasn't ready until 8 pm due to very busy weekend. But the staff at check in were very accommodating.

This was my third time at the resort and there is nothing that hasn’t changed except for the better. There is plenty to do and see without even having to leave the premises. Even the market is stocked with everything you need for your stay. Looking forward to our next visit.

It was absolutely amazing here! We will definitely be coming back next year. The room was amazing, clean felt very home like and bigger than we expected. There was so much to do in the resort, restaurants were great and not over priced. We came for our honey moon and had the best time. We would love to come back in winter and summer to enjoy this resort with family and friends.

The fun zone was a great area for the kids. They loved it. Our unit was dirty. My son's bed was covered in chips and crumbs. The shower had hair everywhere, the back patio was covered with cans everywhere, the dryer was filthy. I inquired about where to get coffee. I was told that I should have some in our unit and that they would get some over to us right away, never arrived.

Loved the condo they gave us, the outside was looking pretty shabby but when we got inside it looked beautiful. Didn't really deal much with housekeeping at all so have no comments there. Everything you need is right on the resort. We had a great time and definitely will be back.

Beautiful resort. Wished we could have stayed longer.

This hotel was good value for the money. The room is a bit outdated but the room was clean and the kitchen well stocked with cookware. We ate most of our meals in our room which helped us save money. The resort does an excellent job with suggesting hiking trails, we hiked on the resort multiple times. Would definitely recommend

The resort was very nice. However, I BOOKED THIS RESERVATION THROUGH HOTELS.COM AND WAS UPCHARGED OVER $100 A NIGHT. BOOK DIRECTLY THROUGH RESORT!!!
CALLED HOTLES.COM AND WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND FOR OVER AN HOUR. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...
THE PEOPLE AT THE SMUGGLERS NOTCH RESORT WHERE BOTH KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL AND WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.

The facilities and location is beautiful, but the experience is marred by the greed of the resort. It can easily cost a family of four and extra $500 a day for food and activities.
We expected to be able to have our kids try the teen program the resort promotes, only to learn that it would cost us a $100 a day per child.
Fortunately, our reservation included the pools, as I understand some have to pay extra to use them.
Most classes and activities cost extra. I wanted to have the kids do a mountain bike clinic, which was advertised at $39 for the hour, but on getting there I found out you also had to rent the bike, helmet, oh, and insurance, so basically almost $200 for two kids to do an hour mountain bike clinic.
Want to rent a bike for a day? It will cost $60 or $70 per bike.
The restaurants and grocery store also have jacked up prices. A couple of ice cream cones will cost you about $15. And then, to top it all off, everything you charge you your room gets an additional 10% "service charge" on checkout, because I guess they can.

This place hasnt had a remodel in 40 years. Its a throwback to the seventies. At $300/night a total joke but not much available out in this part of the woods.

price was pretty high for a dated room (appliances were new) and you get zero pool access with nightly rate
a/c didnt reach upper floor- just had a ceiling fan

The people were great very nice and helpful. The rooms on the other hand are dirty and way out of date. Rugs had huge stains and coaches are dirty. The bathroom had mold in the showers and stains on the wall. its really sad when you have to take out your own garbage and start the dishes after paying over 150 a night. Off season or not that should be done by house keeping all the time.

What a great group of people working here! I was so impressed with how friendly and patient the staff was. They answered a million questions and with a smile. Shuttle was quick. Property beautiful. Condo was nice. FunZone and tubing were great for kids. All around an excellent time.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Smugglers Not h. We were disappointed with the first unit assigned to us, and the front desk was very helpful and accomadating in moving us to a unit that was more suitable for our family of four. Staying in late October, the resort was very quiet, but seems they would have lots of family events if you came during the winter or summer. We enjoyed bingo, even though we were the only ones who showed up! We also spend hours at the Fun Zone, which our kids loved and we did too! Our unit had a gas fire place and was very cozy.

Spacious, clean, well kept, great location for everything, food and fun, very beautiful area in the fall

The condo was amazing! Our only complaint was that the pools close at 6pm, and the hot tubs were closed.

Seems like a very large resort to manage, with multiple condo buildings. Ours was dated, and the worst is check in time of 5 pm and check out time 10 am ridiculous.

Great time. There was a lot of things to do. Great for a family vacation

No closet for hanging clothes, bed difficult to access from one side.

This place is old and run down. There are many more nicer places in the area to stay at.It is definitely a low class resort. The condos are old and dingy and many smell old and musty. It was so bad I left early and went to a much nicer place in Stowe which was nicer and even cheaper.
This place is horrible. It is the only resort that I have ever left in the middle of my stay. I didn't care that they wouldn't give me my money back. I HAD TO GET OUT OF THERE. One Nasty PLACE !!! Don't go there !!!!

Really a good vacation resort with all amenities like completely equipped kitchen, fully furnished condos. Perfect condo unit for a family getaway. Now the 'however' part: Front desk needs to be far more service oriented and helpful e.g. When I arrived two of the associates insisted that I owe a lot more than what I've already paid for in spite of seeing my reservation details on my phone, I was lucky to have roaming enabled. After their manager came in she realized that I've been upgraded to a better unit and additional charges are showing as due, which she corrected - but no apologies rather an attitude that I was being given extra so I should be happy. Then 10$ a day for wifi, in this age and if you want to use connected computers in the lobby it's 8$ for 15 min session and $1 for black and white print out. At check out I asked for an hour extra time for either of two rooms and housekeeping was so rude that I thought am better off somewhere else. Don't know if it's the dry air of the mountains causing it but service staff needs to be far more customer friendly.

Maybe I'm being nit-picky but our primary reason for staying here was to get a good night's rest and so we did not avail ourselves of the other amenities the resort had to offer. That said, a good nights rest was tough to come by. First the wall clock ticked loudly, secondly the refrigerator made a very loud, fast dripping/clicking type noise like someone rapping a pencil against the edge of a desk; since we were in a studio, the fridge was right near the bed. And lastly, you could hear every door in the place bang shut. Oh, and the light switches malfunctioned.

This hotel has so much to offer - 3 pools with fantastic water slides a very cool evening activity called DIVE movie and a fantastic zip line facility right next door. The staff were all great. However the rooms are very outdated and run down. The food is mediocre.
0.8 / 5.0
Our condominium was a bit dated and the overall amenities were older and not high end but they were very comfortable and the location could not be beat. The hotel staff was very very pleasant and accomodating. We had everything we needed and more.
