About this cabin rental
What a view of the sunsets and stars from this amazing large wood deck, which now includes a high end large jetted Hot Tub. The 1999 square foot space is open and spread out for small gatherings and privacy. Beautiful rocks, birds, and you can see the Elmer Thomas Lake/damn, and Mt Scott in the Wichita Wildlife Refuge. Hiking and Mountain Biking trails lead from our backyard or across the street or down the hill. Our cabin gives a fresh breath of air and a peaceful mind escape from busy society with large lots in the neighborhood. You can walk the small downtown with several quaint shops and places to eat and get ice cream. The sunsets are really the best on our deck or hike to the prayer flags on Bear Mountain. Our visitors have enjoyed sitting by the fire inside or having coffee and reading a book outside or playing games inside. Within walking distance to hike, mountain bike and bouldering routes established online in the rock climbing world, and rock climbing in the refuge. Kitchen is completely stocked. Kayaks may be used with life jackets, you will need a truck. We are close the Ft Sill Army Base, Lake Lawtonka, and Wichita Wildlife Refuge and in Medicine Park. Sometimes the internet can be unpredictable, most of the time it works. Furniture and beds and linens are great quality and comfort.
The driveway is a steep hill, wide steps up to the deck and door. 3 cars allowed, 8 people max and No pets unless you have talked ahead of time and fee is agreed upon. 200$ for pets if no prior communication.

Top 3 VRBO stays for us (and that’s saying a lot). The pics don’t do it justice. If you’re looking to get away from hustle and bustle this is the place to be. Pure relaxation in a home that has it all. Not one thing we needed that was not provided. Views are amazing and home exceeded expectations.

This is our second time returning to this property and just like the first time, everything was perfect. It was super clean, the veiw from the hot tub was unbeatable and the host of the property was very cool and always quick to respond.

This was a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend it a million times over. I had very good communication with the owner. She was very responsive to all of my inquiries. The one thing that I would really like to point out is that the kitchen was very stocked. If you like to cook, as I do…. You are in for a treat 🤗They have every size pot, pan, glass, utensils and seasonings that you will need.

Beautiful house and beautiful views but constant cannon fire from nearby artillery base (24 hrs a day) made it hard to enjoy our stay. The blasts were loud and rattled the windows of the house even during the night. The primary bedroom upstairs was the loudest. If we would have been told this in advance, we would not have rented it. Also, the TV in the living room did not work - no service so we used our phones to play music to help drown out the sound of the constant blasts. We were looking for a peaceful place to rent, not the sound of constant cannon fire. It would have been professional and polite if you would have told us in advance of the possibility of the artillery fire at the nearby military base. We also had to climb a ladder to disconnect a smoke detector with a low battery that was chirping. We are in our 60's so it wasn't the safest situation. One of the smoke detectors didn't have a battery in it so we were left without two smoke detectors working since there wasn't anyone available in the area to handle this. The owners did give us a later checkout because of it. It was strange that there was no one available to handle this for us. Like I said, not the most peaceful weekend. Thank you

We had a great experience overall. Actually we visit lots of different houses all over the place, and my wife said this was the cleanest of them all. Says a lot since she cleans houses for a living and always inspecting everywhere we go. Also lot of places we stay we actually spend more time out of house. Where here we spent most time in house. Thank you for experience and we might even come back again one day.

The owners were wonderful. Because of the weather, the pipes froze in this particular house. The owners found us the property right next door, which was wonderful. They did not have to do this, but yet, they were so helpful! I highly recommend this place. The view is amazing and hiking trails were gorgeous.

I can’t say enough good things about this house. The views are amazing from all areas of the house. There were 7 of us, 2 adults and 5 kids. We all had a great time, with plenty to keep us busy. The house is in a great location, easy access to Mt Scott and all the eateries and shops in Medicine Park. We will be back!

The house was clean and well stocked for our stay. And the location was close to Medician Park which was convenient. The drone shots of the house showed that it seemed like there were only 2 other houses in the vicinity, however, there were many more. But overall a great place to be.

Liked the view . Comfortable King Bed . AC worked well only complaint was one downstairs bedroom could really use a ceiling fan , it was stuffy and hot only in that one room with door closed . Could not figure out how to get the grill heat to regulate on the propane grill outside . When we turned it down it stayed on high heat , finally gave up . Hot Tub was wonderful and view was excellent!! Host was wonderful and alway readily available. We had a great time !!!

This was such a beautiful, clean and comfortable place. The master bed was so comfortable, which I really appreciated. We had a small issue with figuring out the cooktop but the owners assisted. The views are gorgeous. My family and I really felt at home.
