It met our big family needs. We had fun.

This rental is AWESOME for a large group. The main lodge has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and then the other two buildings have 8 beds with a bathroom each. The game room has foosball, air hockey and a couple other things. The kitchen is large and allows for lots of room to cook. I will say, we struggled finding things to cook with and there was only one frying pan but other than the selection of cooking utensils, it was great! Very very cute area. The driveway is a little steep and can be slippery in the rain but we didn’t have any issues. Overall, great place.

From the way the property was listed, I was unaware of how inconvenient it would be for a group of men, some of whom are senior citizens and have accessibility issues. I thought there were showers in each cabin, and had no idea how steep the drive and access to rooms were. I didn't not recall seeing anything about a bath house. The exterior of the property was not well kept and very overgrown.

Such a great location! The mountain view is incredible! The two bunkhouses, allowed us to divide our guys in early birds at night owls… and then the three bedrooms allowed us to pair up guys with special needs like a CPAP machine or something that would a disturbed everybody else! The kitchen facilities were amazing! Having to full Stowes in a double sink, and I'm working dishwasher really made a difference! And then having to long buffets to leave food out, was also super helpful! The gathering area was perfect for us to circle up 20 some guys… But then guys could spread out if they wanted weather down by the fire pit or out on the porch or up by the Jacuzzi or up in the game room, or going for a hike… They had everything we needed as far as linens (a set on each bed… fitted sheet, regular sheet pillow and pillowcase and wool blanket for the beds, and a towel and washcloth) and the number of plates and bowls and silverware or perfect for a large group! The only thing was that we kept running out of mugs, but that just meant we had to wash them. It is rustic, but comfortable as there is adequate heat for everywhere… As we said perfect for our guys though probably our ladies would like something more… So grateful!

Our church rented "The Lodge" for a Men's Ministry Retreat Weekend. We felt that it offered the space and serenity that we were looking for - and we were not disappointed! The "Main Lodge" was spacious and comfortable for our meals and studies, while the bedrooms and cabins were comfortable. All-in-all we had a wonderful time that was made better by staying at The Lodge! We hope to come back and stay here for future retreats!

We had a large group stay at this wonderful Lodge and it met and exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean, Kitchen well stocked, plenty of room for 18 people to move around in main house without being cramped. The only thing I would add, would be to stock Kitchen with heavy duty big spoons instead of cheap plastic. Overall this place was excellent.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The owners are very pleasant and easy to work with. It feels like the facility could use some updates and a really deep clean. But we would stay again.

We used the property to host a small wedding and it could not have been better! The house was big enough to host everyone comfortably and we couldn't get over the views! Michael was incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event!

We are a ministry who serves women healing from domestic abuse. My staff and director all needed special time to connect, bond and let go of stress from the challenging work we do. Harper’s Creek gave us a special place for that to happen. Thank you for being a part of our refreshment!

What a great property and experience!!
If you are looking for a place to stay, unwind, and hang with family, this is the place! What gorgeous views. The cabins are also wonderful. We had 18 people stay comfortably on the property -- even my two little newborns. Mike and Margaret are fantastic to work with. We had such a fun time! We are going to book this property now for our summer reunions. We just got back home yesterday and we already have family members asking when we're going to book it again. This property makes you feel like you are right at home. The hot tub, rocking chairs, and cute farm animals are added bonuses! :) We can't rave about this place enough!

Girl Scout Trip
We brought our troop out here 13 girls and 6 adults. The adults shared beds in the main house while the girls split up in the bunk houses. The wifi works great in the main house but no service in the other buildings. The girls would unplug and hang out! They played games around the giant dinner table and bonded in the bunks. The adults had their space in the main house where we sat around and bonded as well! A great place to bring a larger group of people.

Nice Place for Groups
We took a church group for a summer retreat. The 2 bunk cabins worked great to split up our guys and girls. The AC went out on our 2nd night, however the owners were quick to respond and the unit was fixed the next morning. Would stay here again.

Great Property for Large Groups
Our youth group traveled from Jacksonville, FL to stay for a week in the mountains. We brought 20 people and the accommodations are great! The lodge is particularly good for large meeting space and meals. The cabins are nice, but kind of tight. You are truly in the woods, so cell reception is lacking, which can be an issue if you get lost. Otherwise this property is great! Our group loved it, and the owners were easy to communicate and work with.

Pleasant but not a nice as expected
Overall the group of 7 ladies I was with had a great time, but I was definitely disappointed on a number of levels by the property. First of all the photos on the listing over sold the property. It doesn't feel or look as luxurious as the photos present. It's a quiet and attractive location - but the house itself is not beautiful to look at. The listing also made it confusing to understand the lay out of the home. There are only 3 bedrooms in the main house and then 2 cabins each sleeping 8 in bunk beds. The supplies were basic, not full toilet rolls and paper towels, no dishwasher pods as advertised. The kitchen was relatively well supplied, but is poorly organized and you find yourself having to open a lot of cupboard doors to find what you want. We had some issues with cleanliness also - finding in a closet something unpleasant left by a previous renter. So - all in all, like I said, we had a good time - but our expectations about the property were disappointed.

Overall we had a good time
The place was very nice and the host was conveniently close to the property. Which made them easily accessible. We had a great time. Our guest didn’t like going from the small cabin to the shower room. That’s all.

Nice but more details needed
We enjoyed our stay. However it is worth noting that the bunk houses only have half baths and there is a shower house on the property that badly needs updating. The main cabin could be cleaner... cobwebs, dust, etc. Also, none of the outdoor yard lights were working which made travel from bunkhouses to main house difficult at night. HOWEVER, we really enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very nice and courteous. Would recommend to other groups.
