About this house rental

A wonderful family country escape with all the accommodations of home! Set on two sprawling acres in the beautiful Berkshire mountains, you will feel a world away while having all of the Berkshires right at your fingertips.

The first floor has a large guest suite with fireplace, family room with large sectional and 60-inch SmartTV, sun room with sectional, office/den, eat-in kitchen, half bath, and washer-dryer. The second floor has a twin room with trundles (sleeps 4), a queen guest room with a full-size crib, a full bathroom, and a master with a king size bed and its own en-suite bathroom. The basement has a king-size Room and Board pull-out couch, a futon, a 40'' SmartTV, and plenty of toys to keep the kids entertained. All four bedrooms have window-unit AC for summer months.

The home has two large patios., which in the summer include an outdoor couch, table and chairs, grill, lounge chairs, and hammock. Enjoy your coffee while overlooking the heated private pool and feel a world away! In the winter, you are a short drive to the area's best skiing, and the 2-acre property provides plenty of private space to enjoy snow and outdoor activities.

The home comes equipped with high-speed internet and a Google mesh network throughout the home, making working or home-schooling remotely a breeze.

The home is situated perfectly amongst the Berkshires' best attractions. A 3-minute drive to downtown West Stockbridge and Olivia's Overlook; 7 minutes to Tanglewood/Kripalu;10 minutes to downtown Lenox; 10 minutes to Bousquet; 20 minutes to Butternut; and 30 minutes to Catamount. It's also 15 minutes from Pittsfield—the seat of, and largest city in, Berkshire County; and 20 minutes from Great Barrington. So much is right at your fingertips!

Pool open Memorial Day through Labor Day. No children are allowed unattended in the pool at any time. Swimming in the pool is done 100% at your own risk. All renters must execute a pool waiver in order to use the pool during your rental. A set amount of propane to heat pool is included in your stay; if you exceed set amount you will be responsible for any propane charged at the market rate.

House was perfect size for our family, truly enjoyed everything. Location is also very close to local amenities. Bousquet ski and tubing was a 10 minute ride and they have such a great setup! House was not clean. Pool was suppose to be open for the time we stayed, and pool company came and closed pool. Outdoor furniture dirty , property not kept up. Trash left in garage when we arrived, trash pails in middle of the road when we arrived on a Sat. Trash pail in kitchen dirty and frame around pails dirty-we cleaned. Told owner and she thanked us. I think if you pay for cleaning services in your fee, the house should be clean. Master bedroom, bugs-I realize it's the country, but on the floor were bait things, under table in bedrooms, hair ties, and other things, Who ever does the cleaning for this very nice owner -does a terrible job. Over all the house was nice and big. Everything we used in the kitchen needed to be washed. I suggest that owner makes sure when someone leaves that pans are left clean. Some people are pigs. Very disappointed when pool was closed and disappointed that the outside deck and furniture was not clean to use. Stores and restaurants are far away. If you go off season like we did, be prepared that most places are closed Sun thru Wed. Owner very nice., she did let us check in 1 hour before our time.

This property is just perfect! Very comfortable, spacious, fully stocked, amazing location, relaxing, beautiful, clean, responsive, generous, and flexible property manager. What more could you ask for on a vacation?! We only wish we could have stayed for a month instead of a week! Next time!

We had such a lovely stay. It was comfortable for all six of us. Our hosts were very easy to reach if we had questions and the house was very close to so many great Berkshire spots. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Richmond over Memorial Day with another family, both of us with young kids. The house was perfect for our group, with enough bedrooms and play space for everyone to relax together. The pool was a bonus as it happened to be warm enough to enjoy and the adults enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Location was perfect as we were able to easily explore West Stockbridge, Lenox and Great Barrington with just short drives, with easy access to restaurants, shops & playgrounds. Would happily come back.

Our stay was lovely and very comfortable. The house was beautiful and welcoming. There was plenty of space to accommodate each of the families staying for the week. The location of the house was accessible to a variety of amenities and restaurants. It was an easy drive over to Jiminy Peak and Ski Butternut. We had a small problem with the electricity and water but Karen responded quickly and we were able to resolve without any issues. We highly recommend staying here and would come back again!

We were looking for a place rather last minute near butternut mountain to do some skiing with our friends and kids. This house was just great! Plenty of space for kids to hang out and stay busy while adults could hang and easy drive to the mountain. Karen was incredibly responsive and house was nice and clean and organized. Beds were all comfy and plenty of extra bedding if needed. We all had a great time and the kids are still wishing we were there! Thanks!

Great getaway in the Berkshires

A spacious and attractive house close to all the Berkshires has to offer. Plenty of room for our adult children and senior parents, large and well stocked kitchen and great outdoor setup made this the perfect place to use as a base while exploring all the Berkshires has to offer. Karen was great at communicating and everything was exactly as described in VRBO listing. We are all looking forward to coming back!

Great House for Families with Kids

We loved our mini vacation here! There was plenty of room for our two families (total of four adults and four kids, 6 to 12 yrs old). The house was very clean and organized, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the space. We had great weather, so we spent many hours in the pool, which ranges from 4 to 5 ft deep. It was perfect for both the kids and the adults. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there are a number of great restaurants within 10-25 min from the house. Karen was very helpful in giving suggestions for things to do and checking in with us to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

Our family gathered from various parts of the country to celebrate the life of my mom who recently passed away. Having grown up in Richmond, this was ‘coming home.’ Following her service and based on the suggestion of our host, we purchased High Lawn Farm ice cream and had an ice cream social. Fun and delicious-she was a HUGE fan of ice cream! Our stay was lovely-truly a weekend our family will never forget.

My family connected with two other families at this house for Easter weekend. The house was clean, stocked, and offered several spaces for the kids to have fun together. This home was kid-friendly and had a large side yard and fire pit for families to enjoy. Beyond a small oversight of toilet paper for the home, the house was well equipped - even with metal roasting sticks for marshmallows! Overall we had a positive stay in this home.

We enjoyed our long weekend in Richmond very much. With 4 adults and 2 children there was more than enough room in the clean and spacious house. We stayed pretty close to home, cooked all of our meals in the great kitchen but did venture out for snowshoeing! No complaints and would definitely return!

We needed a few days of retrieve from our overwhelming COVID work life. This was a perfect get away because it was quiet and clean and a well equipped house with plenty space for everyone. We ( 2 families with kids) stay in this lovely house for 3 nights, the weather was bad, but we spent nice time indoor. House is very clean, comfortable, bright, warm! and much bigger than we expect. We feel that we in our house) Kitchen is well equipped, beds are great for quality rest, family room is wonderful for cinema time for big company. Karen has nice library for adults and kids, and even toys for kids. It was very helpful. We had some questions regarding fire pit , and Karen reply very fast. Thank you very much for great stay.

Black out shades in one bedroom & a basement room for video games were a hit with a few folks. Some parts of the house aren’t updated, but it’s well-maintained with modern technology for entertainment, work or simply charging your devices.Communication was easy & the owners were very responsive. The house is just outside the quaint village of West Stockbridge which has restaurants, shops and a small grocery.We liked it so much, we booked again for the summer when the pool is open!
