My husband and I wanted a quiet place with a real, functional fireplace for the weekend. We were thrilled to find Manor House, which was exactly as described. Our hosts Nice and Drew were a pleasure the be around and prepared a wonderful homemade style breakfast for the guests. We had a great time there and are hoping to return another day.

The house was so beautiful. The hosts friendly, gracious and took care of us so very well. This was our favourite stay in the short time we were away. We hope to return one day. Would highly recommend this for a stay to anyone who enjoys a beautiful house in a beautiful rural setting.

We wanted to find a special anniversary get-away and the Manor House Inn exceeded our expectations! The inn was spectacular, decorated with period furniture and an easy drive from Tanglewood. The innkeepers, Adam and Kristin was gregarious and engaging plus served up some amazing breakfasts. I would highly recommend stepping back in time, relaxing and enjoying his amazing home.

Manor House Inn is a lovely setting with spacious and inviting common areas and luxurious room appointments, all in the quaint, walkable Norfolk Historic District.

They have COVID procedures down pat - all very well thought out to enable a great stay during this challenging time.

Lovely in and the innkeepers, Adam and Kristen, are very friendly and helpful. They staggered the breakfast to keep us all safe which we appreciated. Food was great. Rooms are beautiful and very clean. Check in was very easy. Only downside is bed is really tall (I’m short) and medium comfort.

Linens were luxurious. Bed super comfy! Extremely relaxing. Gas fireplace and deep jacuzzi tub added touch. Fruit/cheese/nut platter scrumptious and excellent home-cooked breakfast! Outstanding.

I loved my stay at The Manor House. Adam was so kind and friendly. The house is beautiful with amazing period details, a comfy bed, and was very clean. Thank you! I will be back!

Beautiful B&B... Came in to warm, inviting fire and greeted warmly by the keepers who quickly made us feel at home!!!

Property was beautiful and the innkeepers were very nice and helpful . They offered suggestions as to where to eat and what to do .

Our only diasppointment was that we couldn’t stay longer. This is an old historic property, in excellent condition, and it’s fun to imagine living in such a place back in the day. The hosts, Adam and Kristen, were great. However, it might be difficult for people who can’t do stairs, or like chain hotels. We recommend for people who enjoy interesting vintage properties in very picturesque towns. we want to return!

A soaking jacuzzi tub and a balcony in our room. The house is absolutely beautiful and breakfast was yummy.

It was clean, comfortable, great looking, and very friendly!

Beautiful property, quiet room, nice breakfast served by friendly owners. We will go back. We stayed in the "Victorian suite" because it was unseasonably cold and we wanted the gas fireplace. It was a little odd to have the bath in the room, though, so we'll probably get a different room next time. But overall it was an excellent stay and I recommend.

The owners of the inn could not have been more warm, friendly and accommodating. The place was gorgeous, spotless, and well-appointed. Delicious coffee, free wine, a big library, sunset views, and my bed was super-comfortable!

Beautiful, warm vibe. Takes you back to a simpler time with all the charm and elegance of an Ole school mansion while still feeling the warmth of home and family.
Kristen and Adam could not be more kindand accomidating. We will be back again for sure.

We arrived very late and had to leave very early so can only say the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast looked and smelled great but we had a breakfast commitment elsewhere. I would be happy to return.

Wonderful area and a fine place to stay!

Manor House Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Norfolk. Its an old mansion that has been preserved; so it looks like it must have looked a hundred years ago. Ive stayed there three times in two different rooms, and the experience was always excellent. Innkeepers Kristen and Adam are very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfasts. There isnt a lot to do in Norfolk--except for musical shows at Infinity Hall several nights each week--and the classical music festival in the summer. Also, Norfolk has an excellent library for a small town. Its a very nice getaway into the country.

This stay was a real mixed bag. Michael, one of the owners, was extremely pleasant and helpful. His wife can take or leave your being there. The house is gorgeous and quite welcoming. Our room, on the third floor was dark with steep stairway, an old, huge and loud air conditioner... occupying the only window. The room was dark and in need a cosmetic overhaul. All that being said, they should have been charging 1/2 the cost of the room. We asked for an alternative room. Unfortunately, we couldn't move to another room as the B&B was full. Again, Michael was very generous of spirit. Also, in fairness to him, we didn't ever ask for a refund or lowering of the price. We should have.

This place is absolutely beautiful. And OMG - the tub. After spending the day at the racetrack and being all hot and sweaty, the giant tub was a lifesaver. The Innkeeper is very gracious and helpful. We were able to just hang out on the grounds after check out and relax until it was time to head home. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed in the 3rd floor Country French room. I thought it was lovely, but my husband noticed a couple stains on the rug and cobweb on a curtain. The room was warm, the bed comfortable and the view was wonderful - like we were in a tree house! I would stay here again but try out a different room - each has its own feature - tub, fireplace, etc.

A very homely and comfortable property in a quaint corner of Connecticut.
Holly made us feel instantly at home and helped us sort out a dinner reservation in the town which is a few minutes walk down a peasant road flanked by lovely traditional properties. Her breakfast was excellent.
Some very nice thoughtful touches such as home made cake and a roaring log fire, board games.
All the rooms are individually styled and very tastefully fitted out. The bath robes make you feel like Lord of the Manor!
We were sorry to only be staying for one night.

Everywhere one looked there was charm and character. Holly thought of everything.

I really liked this place. Great breakfast. Gorgeous inn - well appointed rooms and common areas. Very nice innkeeper and nice grounds. The only negatives are- since it is an old house the floors are creaky and there aren't many rugs to buffer the sound. The bed is also pretty creaky, like many bb's. It would also be nice to have darker shades in the room since the room is quite bright as soon as the sun rises. The negatives are not unique to an inn/b&b experience. But overall highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant stay. The only complaint is that the pipes were clanking loudly after the bathroom was used.
Beautiful common areas, and the owners are terrific.

Wonderful, it's like stepping back in time when homes were beautifully constructed. Well kept and decorated in its original style period.

I love this B & B! The inn keepers are just so nice and accomodating. My breakfast was excellent, and they were very accomodating to my preferences. Although this was a business trip, I will definately go back to spend a weekend and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. I stongly suggest you try this B & B, you wont be dissapointed.

For $180/nt I think I walked in with very high expectations. The house (as a structure) and yard are incredible. I was always greeted with a warm welcome but never had time to try the breakfast.
The room I picked was the smallest in the house--and I mean small! The carpet looked dirty and also from 1898. You can actually see a bend in the mattress, but the sheets were clean and soft. The lamps had other spaces that don't get cleaned were definitely not clean. I received water bottles every day until I gave a tip then the water bottles stopped.
Perhaps B&B isn't my style, but I wasn't crazy about the experience especially for the price tag. There are no TVs but there is a K-cup coffee machine, a Bose wave playing classical, and excellent sitting areas. I was impressed by the rugs and the hospitality.
NOT a place for light-sleepers! Trust me. You'll see what I mean from the stairs and turning on the heat.
