About this house rental
Leeward is the perfect home for your beachfront family gathering! This 5-bedroom, 4-bath house offers expansive views of the beach, room for large gatherings, space for multiple generations to spread out, and a warm, relaxing environment. We have an elevator for ease too!
The main level of the home features a massive central space. Living room, sun room, dining room, and kitchen all flow together, providing plenty of space for togetherness, yet also places to be apart. Curl up with a book in the sun room, while others relax and talk in the living room, and still others work on a puzzle at the game table.
The beach-side wall is all windows, bringing sunshine and beautiful views of the beach and dunes for all to enjoy.
The well-stocked, open kitchen and wet bar with ice maker allow multiple cooks to prepare food and drinks for all. The large dining room table seats 10, with the kitchen table seating an additional 6. Family meals with a view of the ocean are unforgettable.
A large, sunny deck stretches the entire length of the house. There is plenty of room for tanning, lounging, or enjoying a glass of wine while watching the deer roam the dunes. The hot tub offers a place to warm up or cool down and is popular with all ages. For a change of pace, you can cook on the gas grill and enjoy dining on the deck. Stairs lead down to the dunes, but a latching gate helps keep children safely enclosed. A boardwalk leading directly to the beach is just two houses away.
The master suite features a king-size bed, wall of windows with beach views, built-in office area, private bathroom, and direct access to the deck. The other two bedrooms on the main level share a bathroom, with one featuring a king-size bed and the other a queen-size bed. Laundry facilities are conveniently located in a closet on the main level.
The lower level of the home features two additional bedrooms, both with king-size beds. There is also a secondary living room which offers the perfect gathering spot for teens or children. Two full bathrooms on this level help ensure everyone has plenty of access.
Leeward has rarely been offered for rental, serving instead as a multi-generational family retreat since 1984. The home has hosted engagements, honeymoons, vacations, and innumerable family gatherings. We welcome your family to enjoy the loving, restful, and rejuvenating environment Leeward has to offer!

The layout of the house was great. We had 2 separate spaces for the adults and kids to watch TV in the evening. The beds were comfortable. The walk to the beach was not bad. You have to walk 2 houses down and about a 700 ft walk on the board walk to get to the beach.
The house did have some leaks and a number of spots where the paint was chipping off from the ceiling. At least 1 draw in the kitchen were falling off and we found some mold as well. Despite some of the looks inside, the house was very comfortable for 4 adults and 6 kids which ranged from 7 - 13 years old.

Really enjoyed the stay. The house is great for a large family who likes to spend time together while also having room for seclusion if you want it. The only negative is that the house advertised an elevator, but it was not accessible.

The house was exceptionally clean. Very spacious and accommodating to every age group. Love the large porch/deck spent hours reading and just relaxing watching the ocean
We loved gathering after dinner to listen to music and watch the guys challenge each other in nightly cornhole tournaments.
We cooked most evenings after visiting Gay's fish market and picking up fresh veggies at Dempsey's. The kitchen, bar area and dining room allowed us all to cook and eat together.
We would definitely recommend Leeward house for large families. Lots of together time but also large enough for each one to have their quiet time and privacy

We stayed for a week and wished it was longer. The moment you walk up the stairs, see that view of the ocean, and open the doors to the deck, you can’t help but go “ahhhhhh”. The walks on the beach, the deer grazing in the “back yard”, and the sound of the ocean together with a house that just feels warm and welcoming make for a fabulous stay.

Spacious home with beautiful view of the beach. Love the layout of this house with its open spaces and large rooms. There are quite a few maintenance needs required. All the bathrooms need to be remolded and the rooms painted. They have put in new flooring and the decor is lovely. I hope they will continue to upgrade as this could be such a lovely place.

Perfection on Fripp - beautiful roomy home, amazing views, colorful sunrises, quiet location, gracious hosts. I can’t imagine a better place to spend time with extended family.

The home was quite spacious, comfortable beds, large bedrooms, multiple living spaces to a accommodate a large family or multiple families. It has an elevator that made unloading bags very easy. The home is two houses down from a beach access. Hot tub is a nice touch. The House needs minor cosmetic repairs but it did not detract from the comfort. I would definitely stay here again. The Property does not include a golf cart or amenity cards so plan accordingly.

Special Place for Multi-Generation Family Vacation
Fripp Island is a unique setting where nature, residential and resort come together. The house is very well laid out for a multi-generation stay with multiple living/eating areas including a nice large deck, in addition to the several bedrooms. The house is on a quiet street and has a beachfront view, with the access is via a boardwalk steps away down the street. We increased the convenience by ordering daily tent/chair service from a local vendor. Fripp Island is the home to primary and secondary homes, deer, birds, alligators, golf carts, and recreation. There are several choices of pools a short drive away. Hunting Island is amazing and close. If you plan to cook at the house, (the kitchen is very well equipped) check out the many seafood and produce stores/stands between Fripp and Beaufort. The owner/manager was quickly responsive to any need that we had. The house was clean, and the only reason I didn't give that five stars was that it was very adequately clean but not amazing clean.

Great stay with friends
The location was fabulous with room for a crowd. A great place to gather. The house was well appointed with kitchen items and there was a towel for each person. However, it was missing basics like toilet paper and hand soap. Perhaps it’s just me, but I felt toilet paper and hand soap should be provided. Also, We were all looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub but unfortunately the smell of chlorine was overpowering but the water was brown so we opted out. Regardless we had a great time I just recommend you bring paper products and soap for the sinks unless you want to drive 25miles to go buy th

Family Fun
Our family so enjoyed the house, the island and the time together. Kathy with the property management team was very helpful and responsive. Mornings were spent on the back deck listening to the ocean and watching the sunrise. More wonderful family Fripp memories. Thank you.

Great place
Overall, It was a beautiful property to stay in for a weekend. From started to finish, Kathy and her staff was easy to work with she answer all our questions prior to the trip and made our trip easy with getting access to the island as well as amenities cards, which you will need if you planned to visit to enjoy the pool and restaurants
Place was clean and the rooms are very nice size, the pictures doesn't lie. There was enough space for everyone to have their own privacy and the view from the balcony was beautiful. We would book again.

Wonderful Oceanfront Home + Hot Tub!
Two families shared the house for a week and absolutely loved our visit. The house accommodated everyone perfectly with nice bedrooms, lots of space for gathering and dining, and a beautiful view from the deck. Easy beach access through the dunes, and hot tub was a real plus on chilly days. We would come back in a heartbeat!
