Queen bedding sheet set is provided if group is 11 or 12 people.

The house has tall ceiling, antique heart pine hardwood floor, and big windows in every rooms. Guests have no access to 2nd floor porch and locked areas.
This is an old house with basic accommodation. This is not a luxury rental. Security camera on site. The house was built in 1852 (pre civil war) with a lot of historic charms. It is not a party house. No grill allowed. This is an old house with old house smell, creaking hardwood floor, traffic noise… so please don’t expect a lot. The nightly rate is priced accordingly due to the condition of the house. This is a basic place for you to sleep after spending a long day outside. Charleston is diversified and this is a mixed-income neighborhood which has high levels of racial, ethnic and income diversity. The house is next to a middle and low income housing complex. If you expect for a perfect rental, please book a hotel in historic downtown.

We had a girls weekend planned for 6 women from 5 different states. This house was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Very clean and close to everything. We walked everywhere. We all would stay again!
4.0 / 5.0
The bedrooms were spacious. We found things to be clean. It was easy to communicate with the manager with any questions we had. The necessities were all available. Over all we were very happy staying here.
We were in town for my sons wedding so we wished there were closets to hang up our gowns and tuxes. There was one clothing rack that we all tried to squeeze or clothing on. The ironing board cover was not attached to the ironing board which made it difficult to iron our formal wear.
The top floor bedroom(as well as other bedrooms) has the head of the bed against the fireplace. There was the sound of wind traveling through it which made it hard for the person in that room to sleep.
Also as others have noted, you must be willing to let others without a bathroom to cut through the bedrooms with the bathrooms.
The living area needs new flooring and furniture. We needed that space for photos of the groomsmen but it looks a bit run down so we used a bedroom for photos instead.
Those things were a little inconvenient but overall it was fine.

My overall review of the property, the Home needs work. Cleanliness from the cleaning service is great but furniture in the living area needs upgrading, the rug on the LR floors all need to be changed.. New paint is needed, newer decorations would help, hooks in rooms for clothes, pictures on the walls would help make this home 5 star once you’re inside but because of those things I’ll give it 3 1/2 stars. if you can overlook that type of dirty then the house was wonderful. The size of the bedrooms is absolutely incredible , that is a five star rating.… but the simple things to make our visit more enjoyable were missing. The Piazza could have been cleaned and painted with outdoor furniture so we could sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine with our family, we missed those things.

Everything was terrific---clean, easy parking, fully furnished/outfitted. It fit our needs perfectly!

Pros: Excellent location. good parking. Easy walk to downtown. Bedrooms quite large with high ceilings. Full bathrooms are fine. Beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable. Easily accommodated our group.
Cons: Place needs to be cleaned. Badly. Windows nasty. Lighting poor, many wall reeptacles and table lights inoperable. Kitchen pots/pans and tableware fine but completely lacking any food prep or storage accessories (no plastic wrap, serving bowls, etc.). Rudimentary.

We enjoyed our stay at this property! The location is just a 5 minute walk from King street with tons of shopping and restaurants. The place is very roomy and has lots of historic character. It could definitely use a good dust but other than that it was a fantastic house.

Honestly wouldn’t stay here again. Listing was misleading (they charge you extra for the 5th bedroom, AND charge you extra for the two additional guests over 10- DOUBLE DIPPING). The lock pad to enter the first floor wasn’t working when we first arrived. The code owner gave us would not unlock the door. Shower handle in third floor was broken so we could not use the shower. And the first floor smelled like mold. There was mold inside of the dishwasher. The location is the only redeeming quality.

I stayed here for my bachelorette trip and loved it! The property was more practical than anything - lots of space and large shareable beds. The property was definitely older, but the location was great. Walking distance from everything! The owner was responsive and helpful throughout the process - definitely recommend!

Host was helpful upon check-in, but the downstairs rooms in particular were not cleaned well and in some spots were quite dirty from previous guests. The more days into the stay we went the more lack of cleanliness we discovered. Also, there was a distinct musty smell upon coming in. A dehumidifier would be useful.

A perfect location in a perfect old classic Charleston home!
What a HUGE house! 5 bedrooms! it's so so big. The location could not be any better. You are walking distance to EVERYTHING in downtown. The kitchen is great, the air conditioning is great, the beds are comfortable. Everyone was happy!
My only suggestion, if you are staying here, is that you figure out who gets which room before you arrive. Two bedrooms have bathrooms inside them, and then there is one half bath on the first floor. This means that people who have to pee in the middle of the night should probably get the bedrooms with the bathrooms in them. Or you should all just draw straws. It caused a bit of drama for us but ended up being fine.

Great host - great communication - great location
Great property close to King Street and everything in Charleston. A couple of off-street parking spots and a super responsive host. Will book again the next time I am in town.

Great time. Great location.
The location is fantastic. We walked everywhere. No car needed. The beds are comfortable and the rooms large. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and dishes. But, I had to buy a few things. It could use some serving bowls and trays. The place is worn - kitchen cabinets could use some attention. It could use a deep cleaning - kitchen floor and front porch, for example. That said, we had a great vacation and would stay here again.

Historic Charleston home, has the quirks you would expect. Excellent location to walk downtown. Loved the King beds.

Things needing to be adressed and all the good things
3rd floor very hot temperture wise, no ceiling fan, small fan with little output. Maybe put a window unit in for summer time vacationers.
Appears there is termite damage, large pile of sawdust bottom left of front door.
2nd floor, each bedroom had table lights not working.
Towel bar holders needed in bathrooms to accommodate towel from multiple people. We had 6 adults. Kitchen sink faucet not working properly, we figured it out though.
Great location to downtown, everything walkable. Beds were all comfortable. Living/dining space large affording great gathering place. Great pots and pans, stove and refrigerator.

Girls weekend
Listing was accurate. Rooms were much larger than they appeared in photos which was a welcome surprise. Air conditioning and fans all worked well. Host answered promptly. There were a lot of extra fees and definitely felt nickel and dimed. However, the place was clean and met all of our needs. Would have been nice if we had sponges and dish soap. But otherwise fine. Would recommend another towel rack in the bathroom. House is old and lovely so was very concerned about where to hang wet towels. Kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, cups, and dishes. Big fridge and the appliances worked well.

Perfect for a stay in Downtown Charleston
Great house and location. Walkable to King Street and all the restaurants downtown. Everything was super easy and the host was very responsive. The house has nice large rooms, a great place to hang out on the first floor and was very clean.

Great location and fun stay
We enjoyed our stay at Harleston Village for a wedding weekend in Charleston. We had 4 couples in our party for this rental property. All bedrooms are outfitted with King sized beds which was great. The location of the property was perfect for us as it was walking distant to our venues and also very close to the shopping and bar/dining districts of King street and downtown Charleston. The house was clean upon arrival and Andy was quick to respond an answer our questions. This listing did not have a lot of reviews so I wanted to write a detailed review for others who are considering staying here. The only negative in the opinion of our group was the description was slightly confusing and we felt like paying extra fees for early check-in, an extra seemingly vacant parking space, and a 5th bedroom which was not separate from the house was a bit of nickel and diming, though Andy did give some slight discounts for each. We did not use the 5th room but I see no reason why this would alter the cost of the stay considering the price we payed for a 3 day stay. The A/C on the first floor was not very good so the main level bedroom and common areas were pretty hot, but the upstairs floors were fine. The majority of the power outlets throughout the house are not functional so finding places to plug things in could have been easier. The house is an old historic home which is what you expect in Charleston so while none of these issues are surprising it’s something others may want to be aware of. Overall, we had a great time and had a house that met our need for the weekend and would certainly consider staying here again in the future if we had a larger group. Thank you to our host for a good experience!

Great old house
This was perfect for us, 2 couples and our god daughter. It was an easy walk to everywhere in the city, and just 2 doors down from a cute coffee shop that had great quiche and pastries for breakfast. 5 bedrooms, 3 story house that was wonderfully aged with beautiful floors and tastefully decorated. Two parking spaces! You can easily spend $30 a night to park in Charleston so this is a real perk. Kitchen was well appointed with anything you may need. I would stay here again.

Worst Stay Ever
The landlord was the by far the worst person I ever dealt with. I was evicted from the property early for no reason and the owner scammed me and my friends. I would definitely not recommend staying there and the property overall was just a bad place. Terrible experience
