Great location

Loved the spacious house and all the windows. The location and garden were great. The game table, pool table and spa were wonderful.

We we in town for a 90th birthday celebration and the house was perfect for us and our dogs! We spent a good deal of time just enjoying being there because it's cozy and comfy. Thanks for a great stay hope to be back soon!
4.7
Great house for 3 families. Lots to do, plenty of space. Walking distance to Russian Gulch beach and trails. Appliances need some attention but we made it work.
4.7
Nice clean secluded house on private (non-county) property and roads. Enough bathrooms and beds for several families. Dog friendly with big yard (not fenced but it's private roads so nobody around - except a very friendly neighbor dog). Game room is great but everyone was terrible at pool - but the older folks can still play Galaga (arcade table included with Pac, Donkey, etc.). Nice view of ocean in the distance. Nice long walks through Russian Gulch SP, punch bowl, etc. Great seafood all around + Jenny's burgers when you've had enough - old fashion grilltop with great fries and shakes.
Will stay again when in the area.

Convenience and could walk to beautiful coastal beach spots

We had a great time and enjoyed the deck, pool table, great kitchen and most of the house. We did feel the inside is getting a little run down and the outside needed some attention cleanliness, bugs, walkway to the hot tub needed to be lit up. It was very dark and the stairway was uneven and difficult for an older person to navigate.
4.7
Superb property, super clean, good beds, lovely kitchen.
Deck not clean. Toiletries not sufficient, almost none. These minor issues can easily be corrected.
I would highly recommend this property.

This property was absolutely perfect for our family trip! It met everyone’s desires for our stay! The pool table was absolutely the frosting on the cake for all the “boys”. The hot tub was amazing and the view!!! The floor plan was so well laid out. Everyone had room to chill and there was plenty of room for us all to gather together as well. This will definitely be a repeated request! Thank you for sharing this home!

This was the perfect house for our ladies’ weekend get away. A fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook delicious meals, the open living room/kitchen area was perfect for hanging and eating and spending time together. With Russian gulch down the road and a hot tub at the house, there was no reason to leave in our one full day! Incredible views and luscious landscaping provided such a beautiful space and we loved it! Will book again!

This is a lovely and very well-equipped home. Best kitchen I have encountered. The pool table provided hours of fun for my grandsons and their father and uncle. Views are lovely! Short walk to the beach. Beds are very comfortable. We will be back!

The house layout was perfect for our group. It provided most everything we needed. The location was perfect and view was beautiful. On a warm sunny day, the deck was amazing. Of course, the hot tub was enjoyable at all times. My dog loved the backyard and walking in the nearby State Park.

Great space for 9 adults to relax and play

The home has a great floor plan. Great location, close to the trails and ocean views.

House is in a great location, private and quiet. Kitchen is well stocked with lots of room. Beautiful view from the sitting room. Mattresses were disappointing, as well as the kitchen chairs. We did enjoy our stay but had one bad experience with termites for two days. Lost sleep one night as a few of them ended up in our bed. Management could have dealt with the situation a little differently. Seemed to downplay the incident. Overall, everyone enjoyed the stay.

Our family really enjoyed the visit! Great home, good layout for our group. Beautiful views! We had a great time relaxing on the deck in the front of the house. Played quite a few games of pool and even a few arcade games! Most beds were comfortable - my MIL tried out one of the twin beds but had to relocate in the middle of the night as she said it was a bit uncomfortable - more suited for kids or teens. Kitchen was well stocked and certainly didn't lack storage (so many cabinets!). Great yard for our dog! Couple issues - backyard needs a ton more lighting! Very dangerous walking up to the hot tub at night - we used some of the provided flashlights and lanterns but many had dead batteries upon arrival (one member of our party fell coming back down to the house the first night before we discovered the lanterns). No closet access in the master bedroom was a little disappointing, but thankfully we were able to share with our daughter so we were wrinkle-free! Minor issues, but we highly recommend some flood lights or landscape lighting in the backyard! Definitely would stay here again. Great house and location!

The house is laid out perfect for a large family in a nice neighborhood. Kitchen is well equipped. We really appreciated the host’s quick response addressing the hot tub issue. Nice yard for the pets with a great deck enjoying the sunset and watching waves crash (filtered view). Plenty of bathrooms and nicely stocked. Towels were scratchy, but not enough to remove a star. We loved this house and hope to return again.
4.7
We would definitely stay here again.

There are multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas tp be able to spread out. There are multiple decks each with their own personality. There are three great beaches all less than two miles from the property. Three generations of my family were very happy with our stay at Ocean Trails.
4.7
We really enjoyed ourselves. It was a very private, quiet getaway. Beautiful views from all the windows. The house was very clean and very well stocked.
We were very close to the Russian Gulch State Park and we went on some wonderful walks.
Also we had so much fun playing Ms PAC Man - brought back memories!!!
Would love to stay again.

Good views, amenities, and accommodations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our big group. Lots of room with all the amenities we needed.

Enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out was a breeze, rental was well stocked with all the essentials.

This property is BEAUTIFUL and it has tons of amenities that you usually do not see with other rentals.
We first rented a property in Fort Bragg but there were some issues and the Vacasa team worked super hard to find us a different property to move into. We really didn't think they would be able to accommodate us but I was super surprised when they offered us this property. Thank you so much to Jennifer S. at Vacasa for making our trip happy.
OK, back to the property......it is HUGE! And while the front yard is open, the back yard is fenced and very private. You walk in to a pool table in the front room and two bedrooms and full baths to each side of the room. Then you walk through the french doors into the kitchen and living room. Past that are two more bedrooms and another full bath. The house is beautifully kept and has all the amenities you can ask for and more. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We did not sleep in other beds, but they looked comfy. The hot tub is a decent size. It can use replacement of cover because it ripped so the gunk from underneath it spills over to the tub. But a pool rake is provided so you can use that before hopping in.
The only part I did not enjoy about the house was not having blinds or curtains for the living room windows. It would have been fine if the windows were so you cannot see inside from out, but that was not the case and it took away from the privacy. While the property is in a quiet and tucked away area, there were some cars that drove by and of course one would stare into a house with no window covers.
I recommend this property and would love to go back there with friends/family.

Able to accommodate a large group with dogs. Enjoyed watching deer and turkeys walk by.

We had a nice time in Mendocino and enjoyed our stay at this house. Perfect size so everyone had privacy and everything was in working order.
Certain areas weren’t as clean as they should be (dust under beds, pots and pans greasy, etc.) but I think that has to do more with a deep cleaning needed then just preparing for the next guests. (And I imagine finding time to do this is difficult).
We enjoyed using the game room, piano and hot tub... added benefits to renting this house.
4.7
Spacious home; large open kitchen.

Overall, we had a very good time. The Mendocino area is lovely. In general, the house was very nice, but it was not cleaned as thoroughly as we would have liked prior to our arrival, and the refrigerator was broken when we arrived causing some food we brought up to spoil before the appliance was replaced with a new one. Also, although the house was certainly roomy and comfortable, it was not nearly as large as the online posting made it appear. Special thanks to KAT, the support person from Vacasa—when we called her, needing help with the refrigerator, she was absolutely great.

We had a long weekend with the family here. It’s in a terrific location — beautiful hiking trails within walking distance and a short drive to Mendocino town. There’s also a ton of activities indoors if you’re house bound — a pool table, retro arcades, and many board games.
4.7
We enjoyed our stay at Ocean trails. The kitchen was well appointed which was really nice since we are a family of cooks. The home was very comfortable. We taught our 95 year old mom how to play pool and she loved it. Lots of board games and puzzles. The front bedroom has no drapes on the sky lights so that room should be for the early risers. Loved the jacuzzi bath in the master bedroom…very relaxing. Back bedroom with three beds is great for late night star gazing. Sleep in the bed by the window and wake around 2:30AM. The fog needs to clear but has a great view of the stars and some shooting stars too.

First impression of the house is great location, newly remodeled and plenty of room. During our stay however we found many issues with appliances not working or miss represented, hot tub in poor condition, leaky faucets, and uncomfortable beds. For the money I would not recommend this property.
4.7
Ocean Trails was close to Mendocino & Fort Bragg. The home was very clean and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, hot tub was perfect and the beds were very comfortable. Beware only that the front master bedroom has skylights so bring your sleep masks!

We found the place very clean and comfortable. Lots of space and a good location with a nice view. We had two small issues while staying there: (i) the oven caused fumes in the house and (ii) the barbeque was badly rusted and nearly unusable. Vacasa was extremely responsive. Within 90 minutes of telling them a local representative had checked both items. The barbeque they replaced within a few hours. They told us the oven fumes were due to it running on propane, but were normal. The kitchen was well equipped and the versatile toaster oven was extremely useful. We would certainly stay there again.

The hot tub did not work at all. And there was dust under the beds. They did not even try to get it fixed while we where there. Over 600 hundred a night for a hot tub that does not work and was not cleaned

Home away from home
We had a wonderful time and will be back soon. Everything was perfect.

Terrific 4 bedroom, 4 bath home on one level for 8 retired friends who have a reunion every other year in a different part of the country. Spacious and very comfortable living room, decorated nicely with sea decor. The kitchen easily accommodated 2-3 happy cooks, and well appointed with many pots, pans, dinnerware and glassware. After we had booked this home, we became aware of a pending water shortage in the Mendocino area. I stated my concerns and the Vacasa response was quick and supporting, advising that if there was no water, they could not rent to us, would either find us another place, or refund the entire amount we'd paid. Well, after several days, we did run out of water. Property manager Daniel and Mike were on it immediately, and we had water before we started prepping for the evening meal. We were well taken care of, no negatives from anyone. A possible hint: when posting this home for rent, it could be mentioned that occasionally there are water shortages, but this place has a large storage tank for potable water. We would definitely go back!
4.7
Overall a great stay. Plenty of privacy for our 3 separate families along with a wonderful sun room/family room to gather in. The rec room was great for the kids. There were 2 coffee grinders but we couldn't get either to work so used the blender. We did run out of water but that was quickly taken care of after notifying management.
4.7
What a warm atmosphere with spectacular views and beach access close by. Lovely home - spacious and clean, the hot tub was relaxing and just an easy stay at a wonderful home. Thank you for the many memories. We will be back next year!
