Beautiful home, location was great

Perfect for our 4-generation family gathering! We all enjoyed the views, the beach, and the lovely house.

I love where the house sits! And I love the beach down below! we have been renting this house for many years because the beach is great for children. And the house accommodates many people.

We loved our stay here. The house was so clean and had all the essentials we could need. We received a text a couple hours before our check in time that the house was ready and we could check in early. That was such a great surprise. We enjoyed the hot tub in the mornings. Loved watching the waves and even spotted some deer in the hills behind the house. Only thing I would warn future guests is to check high and low tides before going to the private beach down the street. We went out and climbed down the steps just as tide was getting very high, could get dangerous if not paying attention. Overall the house is amazing. The property manager is doing a great job and we will definitely be back and will be recommending to our friends and family!

Location and view is to die for. We had a family birthday weekend and found the open floor plan was great plus loved the porch over looking the beach. We have been to many rental homes and this is our favorite!

Our family had an amazing time at this beautiful property. The views are incredible and the home is very comfortable. The bedrooms were all great and the views from a few rooms were outstanding!!! We only had a few small issues but the property manager was very quick to respond and very helpful. The game room was perfect for kids and adults!!
We really hope to be able to stay here again !!!

Can’t get any closer without being on the beach! We didn’t even feel compelled to venture out. Loved it. Will be back.

The location was the real winner. The relaxing sounds of the ocean were everywhere. The comfort of the house and well stocked kitchen (utensils, dishes, spices, etc) and use of the grill made mealtime easy. Our entire crew of adult siblings enjoyed ourselves and are already talking of returning-)

This home has to be the best we've ever rented.

A beautiful spot for our summer getaway with our kids and grand kids. Highlights included the huge kitchen and great room, so everyone was always within view. And the hot tub and game room got plenty of use! We all walked down to the beach either in the morning or at sunset each day. The location is beautiful, and the views are amazing.
4.8
Beautiful views of the ocean from the living room and 3 of the bedrooms. Plenty of space for large groups to gather and eat, five bedrooms, and a well stocked kitchen. A great value for sure!
4.8
Beautiful but will be more aware of the added charge going thru Vacasa by way of VRBO (added charges not revealed during booking)

Quiet location, spacious house, very clean, views of the ocean were plentiful & amazing!

The Shell Seeker is the perfect location to enjoy the coast. The views are great. Open floor plan allows our big family to spend lots of time all together for meals and games and movies. The home is well-stocked for the most part but could have used napkins, tissue and more paper towels. The hot tub had some issues. A repairman came out twice and got it going. Garage game room is always a hit. This was our 3rd family vacation here and we have made some wonderful memories.

My family gathering of 12 people stayed at this house over the holidays and had a very enjoyable time. The house easily accommodated our large group of adults and kids in the 5 bedrooms. The game tables in the garage were a huge help with the kids. A lot of table tennis and foosball was played. The kitchen is well appointed and was great for socializing while cooking big meals. The views were great and the exterior spaces of the house were comfortable and welcome, especially the hot tub. The proximity to the beaches, local parks, and Fort Bragg were critical too. Lots do on foot or with a short drive.

Beautiful house on the coast. Really lovely. However, the customer service was a zero. I asked several questions leading up to the trip. No response. The hot tub was not working. No response. There weren’t enough trash bags or paper towels. Didn’t bother to ask for help by that point. The fridge wouldn’t stay cool for an evening. Managed to fix it but didn’t bother to ask for help then either. If you need anything you won’t get it, but you can cross your fingers that you won’t need any assistance because if you don’t, the house is great! :)

Nice house near beaches and parks- great for a family getaway

Beautiful. Enjoyed every “minute” of our stay. Beautiful views, comfortable, hot tub is AWESOME. Only thing wrong-it isn’t ours😊

We loved the location and the privacy of this home. We felt safe riding our bikes or taking a short walk to the private access gate to the beach! The house was fully stocked with everything we needed for slow mornings that called for making coffee and breakfast. The views this home offered were our favorite thing about this home. We also thoroughly enjoyed the garage. Spending hours every evening around the ping pong and foosball tables laughing and creating memories as a family. The houses beds and bedding were a little dated and the garage had a weird smell that we negated by opening the side door but we’ve stayed in places with much larger complaints. We would definitely come back to this little oasis again!!

The views are what "make" this property! We appreciated the 5 sleeping spaces-- however because of the way the house is set up, 2 rooms have their own bath and 3 need to share!...bedding could be upgraded which would make this property ideal instead of "good" ... also hot tub was not working and we were not made swats of this until we arrived-- that was disappointing....

We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room to enjoy our stay. House was very clean and well stocked. The great room along with the kitchen with the huge island

"We had a wonderful time at the Shell Seeker home. The location and views from the deck were fantastic. There were a couple of issues. We were unable to use the hot tub due to very cloudy water, excessive foam and oily black particles that were floating in the water and the dishwasher was inoperable. We called local Vacasa support and maintenance personnel was sent to the house. The hot tub issue was not resolved, but the dishwasher was repaired.
Thank you,
Monica R.

Positives:
Beautiful setting with easy beach access. Large open kitchen/ common room with comfortable furniture and gorgeous ocean views. Although house partially overlooks Hwy 1, ocean sounds drown out highway noise. Large deck with comfortable chairs overlooking the ocean and beach. Great place for big groups.
Negatives:
Kitchen was so well-stocked that there was no extra cabinet space to store our food, and our group loves to cook. We stored grocery bags with our non-perishables under the kitchen table.
One hallway bathroom was shared by three rooms (three 60+ year old couples). The other two bathrooms were adjoined to bedrooms and not accessible unless you went through the bedroom.
Wifi and cell coverage--very weak signal if you could even get one. Don't plan computer or cell phone time
Large 'skid' mark (poop) on master bedroom comforter. We contacted Vacasa on Thursday night when we arrived; they connected with us on Saturday with apologies. Aside from poop skid on the bedspread, the place was VERY clean.
Uncomfortable pillows in master; bring your own.
No way to close heating vent in the bedrooms; very hot when heater was on.
No street parking (a neighbor complained). We were 5 couples from different areas; so had to park our 5 cars in the driveway--not a big deal--just unaware of this rule.
