This house looks beautiful from the pictures but it’s the complete opposite. Upon arrival we noticed multiple spiders and spider webs, rat poop in multiple drawers of the kitchen and floor, and stained towels. We immediately left the following morning since we had gotten there at night and had no option but to stay. I’m yet to receive my full refund after contacting them immediately.

The home was okay, yet there were a few things that were not pleasant. We found rat feeces around the kitchen, the floor was not clean, furniture was dusty, the blankets had hairs, and we did not have enough trash bags or toilet paper for our 3 day stay.

This house is in a terrific location. And it was clean. But read the reviews! The beds are SO uncomfortable. Not in a "different people prefer different firmness levels" uncomfortable. We literally slept on the floor on camping mattresses because the beds are so awful.
Also there were insufficient basic supplies. There was 1 (one!) replacement kitchen trash bag. Not a box of bags, but ONE bag. The house is advertised for a crowd. All of us making breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 3 days required more than 2 small kitchen trash bags. Same with dishwasher soap- we had to buy more. Again, a crowd eating 3 meals a day may require more than one dishwashing load a day. Same with toilet paper. We had to buy more. And we had to buy salt for the driveway so that we could get in and out (we have AWD and chains- it is winter and snowy and icy and the driveway has a steep bit next to the road). For the cost of renting this house, it seems unfair for it not to have sufficient trash bags and dish soap and toilet paper. If it had only been one item, it would have been no big deal. But since all of these basic necessities were in short supply, it felt like the owners were trying to squeeze us for even more money.
Our group has been meeting up to ski every year for 13 years. So we had a great time. But we would definitely not stay at this house again unless the beds were replaced and we could be sure of basic supplies. Total cost of this house for rent, fees, and taxes was $1137 a night. For that kind of money we should not have to buy our own toilet paper and dish soap and sleep on the floors.

Spacious rooms and wonderful view from the deck . Easy to locate and good parking space .
The house was kept clean .
The only concern I had was with the beds . Those were not comfortable at all . In atleast 3 of the rooms .

The house is located in a great place in Truckee. The views from the deck are amazing, and it is near many resorts and short drive to downtown Truckee.
The house is spacious, but it needs some improvements. 1) the beds are not comfortable at all. The mattresses are old and in bad shape. 2) there are not enough blankets and sheets have yellow stains. The ground floor is freezing, so be prepared and bring some extra blankets. We had to buy some blankets in the near store.

For the most part this cabin was very nice. Beautiful looking place, beautiful view and it was in a perfect location that everything we needed and wanted to do was close enough. The cabin is being worked on because when we arrived there was painters ladder's piled up on the driveway and tape and plastic throughout the house but being a superintendent of a construction company I didn't mind it. My wife on the other hand... LoL! I would have gave this location a 5 star but there was three issues. 1) one of the bathrooms outlets didn't have any power. The lights worked, just no power. It's really wasn't a big deal. Just a minor inconvenience. 2) And I think this was the biggest issue, the dryer was a bust. You had to put something in front of the door to keep it shut and you needed to keep your clothes in there all night for it to dry. 3) the last 2 hours of our stay, the power went out completely on the bottom floor. If we weren't on our way out this could have been major problem. Other than those issues this place was awesome. Vacasa made our vacation less stressful by being professional, delivering on everything that was advertised and answering my calls when I had a concern. I would definitely stay at this place again, just hopefully next time these issues are taken care of

Loved the location and view of this place! They had everything labeled and a detailed binder with info on the place. Lots of space with 3 different levels. The internet was a bit spotty but that’s just part of the cabin experience. There was a hole dripping water from the ceiling in one of the bathroom showers and a few electronic items and light switches that didn’t work/maybe just lost battery, but nothing too major. Also a bit bummed to hear how loud the highway was when out on the deck, but for the price and location it was worth it. An absolute incredible place to stay with a group of friends. Parking for at least 3 cars on the property. Spectacular views and easy access to donner lake. Easy check in and out. Overall we had an amazing time.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was spacious with a beautiful view, clean and conveniently located. The reason why I'm docking 1 star is for the few minor inconveniences that ended up being very annoying during our stay:
1) The dryer door wouldn't properly shut, so it kept shutting off while it was drying a load of laundry. I would come back 45 minutes later expecting my clothes to be dry, only to find that they were still wet. Apparently the duct tape that someone put on the door to keep it shut didn't work. 2) The home had a trash can and recycle bin that open when motion is detected, but it was in need of batteries, so we had to open the trash lid using our hands each time, which can get slightly annoying if you're preparing a meal or cleaning up. 3) The wooden table on the balcony was broken with rusty nails sticking out. And the chicken wire used along the railing was coming out. A bit hazardous if you have small children. 4) The dishwasher wasn't working, which we were informed of prior to our arrival.
When a lightbulb went out in one of the bathrooms we called VACASA maintenance to fix it. He was prompt with his response, and after he replaced the lightbulb, he took care of the rusty nails on the wooden table on the back, so we were able to use the table and enjoy the view and fresh air.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Despite the few minor inconveniences I listed, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this home to anyone.

We stayed at this house with 10 people for a company retreat. We all had enough space and plenty of room to spread out & relax. We read on the deck, went kayaking at Donner Lake, had plenty of room in the kitchen to cook large meals for the group, and watched tv and played games. The dishwasher wasn't working, which would have been nice to use, but they did refund us for that appliance. Overall, I would stay in this house again if we had another large group.

Unfortunately, I would not rent again. Pictures make living space larger then it really is. Over priced for what you get, no manual for the unit, dusty, food wrappers and dirt under recliners, equipment for tv difficult to manage and not user friendly at all. Fold out beds had very thin, uncomfortable matresses. Lights stopped working in the whole down stairs 3rd floor basement except for a bathroom and laundry room. Lockbox did not work for front door so we had to manage down icy side of the house to enter from the 3rd floor basement. Would not rent again. Pro: beautiful mountain views.
