Fantastic location, roof top cocktail bar is stunning with the most amazing view
Feel like they try a bit to hard and service is a bit stuffy, long trousers only in the bar even when it’s 32 degrees. Room had been recently painted and there was paint on the floor - not good enough in a 5 star hotel

The food and service in the restaurant was exceptional. We travel a great deal and this was amongst the best. We ate two evenings. The service was incredible and ran like clockwork, supervised by a restaurant manager who certain,y knew his stuff and he directed the show!
Our room was very dated and drab. The shower was not very clean and for the money didn’t meet expectations.

Gorgeous room! Friendly and helpful staff, except for the man in the night shift at the reception. Good breakfast.
The man at the reception during the night shift was rude when being asked questions. He gave us the impression we were bothering him. The next day, the manager apologized to us.

Rooms were large and clean. Location was 10 mins walk to top of Spanish steps. Staff were super nice and friendly. It’s an old monastery so beautiful building.
I’ve stayed in several other 5 star properties in Rome. The actual hotel “look” was 5 star and even though staff were super friendly and nice, it wasn’t as polished as other 5 star properties. Breakfast room was in an ugly hall like room with fake flowers around. Took room service forever to show up with wrong thing and then they never returned. If you can get a great rate then definitely stay here but otherwise I’d go elsewhere.

Amazing roof top bar, the staff were amazing, nothing was a problem, the grand feel of the property
A little far out of centre, but I’m just being picky

the location is perfect, the staff are friendly and helpful
the air conditioner keeps turning off when the room temperature is set to 24c and when the AC is turned off you can hear everything ( room above you, if people are using the toilet, you can hear the water flushing)

The room was a great size and beautiful decorated. Excellently large bed with beautiful high quality bed linen. Turn down service and cleaning all done v elegantly. Staff at reception were so helpful and made a big difference positively to our stay.
I was not especially keen on the breakfast area and set up of the buffet.

Rooms were very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful
Given the very high price of the hotel (approx euro 1,000 per night per double room), I felt that the hotel lacked atmosphere and facilities. The common areas were very soulless. At this price, I expect something better.
The breakfast was very poor for euro 40 a head for the buffet

My favorite thing about the property honestly is the bed and hoe quiet it was and serene.
My most favorite thing has to be the staff. Specifically DAMIANO AND BRUNO. They really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable
The bathtub was a little slippery and awkwardly positioned

lovely staff - rooms where very clean..
Bar on the roof is very expensive - over 20 euros a beer and 28 euros a cocktail, cheapest bottle red wine 125 euros. Great view but bit of a rip off.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! The property was in a great location, close to everything we wanted to see but not right in the centre of all of the tourist attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful. And oh my gosh, the view from the bar and restaurant were gorgeous!
Before booking this property, I think it’s important to know that there are two separate “sections” of this hotel — one is brand new, and one is the original part (which they’re updating). They do not show photos of the old section online, which is slightly deceiving! My husband and I booked a “Prestige” room for our honeymoon based on the photos we saw associated with that level of room online. It looked gorgeous and had hardwood floors. However, when we checked in, we were given a room in the old section which had stained carpet, scuffed walls, a few dead files on the floor, very old clunky furniture, and one window facing a stairwell annex that felt very claustrophobic. I never expect the room to look exactly like the photos online, but I just would not have booked that room for my honeymoon if I was aware in advance. It was in no way, shape, or form romantic. I called down to see if there was anything they could do, but the front desk told me this was what I booked and they had already given us an upgrade us our honeymoon. More than that, the room had the most awful chemical smell. After an hour, I was desperate to leave the room. I called down again, and they said the carpets had just been professionally cleaned. Glad that was done, but the smell was unbearable and they should not have let guests stay there so shortly after. After I mentioned the chemical smell, the hotel did move us and the room in the new section which was MUCH nicer. All’s well that ends well and we enjoyed our stay, but I would encourage anybody booking to clarify where you’ll be staying, especially if you are booking based on what you see online.
