This house is perfectly located close to all the shops in town and just steps to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you needed. The house seemed to be well maintained and clean. The front porch is great for relaxing and people watching and gets a great breeze off the ocean.

A special home in a special neighborhood of Cape May.
A charming, historic home. The front porch gets a breeze that seems to defy the summer heat. Michael’s always at the ready to answer questions and give help. A unique beach experience.

A place for family fun
Our stay in Brandivor was perfect for our family which included 10 adults and 4 children ranging in age from 4 months-4 years. It's proximity to the beach, shopping and restaurants (including Washington Square), spacious space, and large wrap-aroud porch made it ideal. The house was also fully furnished and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything you'd need. We enjoyed the huge picnic table in the back yard and the outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach. We did find Jackson Street to be "busy" especially in the morning with trucks unloading and delivering to the local restaurants but that seemed to be the price you pay for the home's proximity and walkability to these places.
Our host, Michael, was very responsive and congenial.
Although we were unaccustomed to the need to supply our own bed linens, blankets and bath towels our host was able to provide us with information for a company that we were able to rent them from. You also have the option to bring your own but if you are flying this isn't always ideal as luggage gets lost, delayed, etc. Cape May also requires "tags" to use the beach which is also something we were unaccustomed to; however, Michael was able to provide us with them for a refundable deposit.
For most of us this was our first trip to Cape May and we were all favorably impressed with our stay and hope to come back again soon!

Incredible house!
We had an incredible stay from start to finish. Michael was extremely easy to work with and the house was more than we could’ve expected. There is truly nothing better than waking up and having coffee on that beautiful porch. We were able to walk to the beach and then into town for dinner. I couldn’t recommend this property more!

The place was even more spacious than we thought. Our dad, 93, with limited mobility, loved the second floor room and balcony with a decent view of the ocean and perfect for sitting out and people watching. Even on the hottest days a decent breeze. The front porch was such a great place to hang out. We loved our stay. We didn't need to use our car, we rented bikes, and ate at amazing restaurants - often the Mad Batter - where dad could walk too. A very special place.

Couldn’t have been happier! Location was amazing, house was great!
10 friends and I decided that we were ready to finally get together after we were vaccinated. When we pulled up to the house, we couldn’t believe the beach was right in front of us. The giant porch was the best place for our morning coffee and afternoon glass of wine. Inside is beautiful. So many original details. The kitchen was well stocked. There wasn’t one thing we needed that Michael didn’t have. We accidentally locked ourselves out one evening and Michael (the owner) answered his phone immediately and met us at the restaurant we were at to give us a key. Bedrooms are spacious, bathrooms were nice. There is a den on the first floor which was most relaxing place in the house (aside from the porch). I was amazed at how often this house was photographed during our stay. It’s the best location in Cape May, hands down. Great host— Michael is so attentive and quick with any questions we had prior to arrival. House was super clean. We would go back in a second!

Listing isn't wrong - Best Location in Cape May
The listing doesn't do this place justice. What unique place! It has 3 fireplaces (which made this a cozy weekend) but it does have full central air (we checked it out for a summer rental-- because we will be back!). It has everything you need in the kitchen. Michael, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. But THE PORCH! It has to be the best porch in Cape May. Views of the ocean (there are ocean views from most rooms in the house as well). Great people watching. Parking was simple. And with the location you can't be more in the heart of town within steps to the beach. Things were closed because it's only Feb but if everything was open you could walk around the block and you would be at Congress Hall, all the restaurants and bars in the mall, Tisha's, Carney's, Merion Inn, Fin's...I could go on and on. And if it were the summer, my kids would love the mini golf next to the house and the arcade down the street. This is my favorite house I have ever rented in Cape May (we come down 3-4 times a year). I can't wait to come back this summer!
