Heerlijk hotel dicht bij het strand in een mooie baai voor een rustige zonvakantie.

We hadden een grote mooie kamer, fijne douche en prima bedden, hoewel iets aan de harde kant. Vanaf het hotel ben je in 100 m lopen op het prachtige strand. Daar kun je ligbedden huren voor 20 euro per dag, per twee stuks. We hadden half pension en hebben dus alle dagen in het hotel gedineerd. Het is een buffet, maar elke dag was er iets anders. Kwaliteit was prima. Het ontbijtbuffet is ook zeer uitgebreid. Mooi terras om ‘s avonds te zitten.

Alles was prima. Helaas bij het ontbijt weinig keuze voor iemand met een dieet zonder brood en suiker.

Calme, propreté et confort : un séjour parfait !

Nous avons été très agréablement surprises par le rapport qualité-prix de cet hôtel. La chambre était entièrement rénovée, très bien équipée, avec une literie très confortable. Les repas étaient délicieux, avec des soirées thématiques, et la possibilité de manger sur une terrasse calme face au coucher du soleil. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la propreté et le calme général de cet hôtel. Les alentours étaient aussi très agréables pour une promenade, avec quelques belles randonnées. La proximité d'un arrêt de bus nous a permis d'explorer d'autres villages assez facilement.

- Certains soirs, le choix des plats végétariens était un peu plus limité. - Nous avons pris la suite vue sur mer : la vue était très agréable, mais malheureusement la chambre était très sombre. - Nous avons également trouvé regrettable que l'hôtel organise des séjours en très grands groupes, vu le cadre calme et apaisant que l'on peut y trouver. En effet, durant les premiers jours de notre séjour, un très grand groupe (au moins une cinquantaine de personnes) séjournait avec nous, ce qui créait une ambiance de "réfectoire scolaire" très bruyant durant les repas. Nous avons vu une grande différence sur la tranquillité de nos repas lorsque ce groupe est parti. Vu le calme et la sérénité qu'offre cet hôtel, je ne pense pas que les séjours organisés avec d'aussi grands groupes soient adaptés à ce lieu.

Sufficient but not great

The interior of the rooms was modern, the pool was generally nice and the hotel is very close to a small public beach.

A lot of the facilities such as jacuzzis at the SPA area (the one hardly worked and the other one was completely closed off) are very dated. The jacuzzi loungers in the main pool hardly work and are rusty and loud and dated. There is no concierge and if you ask for things at the reception like rental cars or boat trips, if everything is already booked (via their commercial partners) or taken, they will not try to help you arrange for alternative solutions. This is a hotel with great potential but it’s best days are in the past and the overall service incl. a very mediocre breakfast buffet are not 4+ stars quality.

You have to buy your own water to use the tea/coffee making facilities. No English on tv except the news on rotate. Remote. WiFi signal poor. Not enough restaurant staff. Restaurant also very hot/humid

Lovely , hot , quiet and clean with great cocktails!

Excellent staff - friendly and helpful. Quiet with comfortable beds. 100m from the sea Lovely pool and always enough sunbeds. No big competition to get one in the morning.! Lovely place and would stay again

The food, although excellent, and plentiful was geared to German palates because I think we were possibly the only British people there. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, it was a little more challenging to find something different but there is always scrambled egg for breakfast.

Great hotel

Hotel is literally one minute away from the beach, swimming pool was very clean and all hotel facilities are perfectly clean. Food was very good and great variety.

Hotel in general is great, but a bit outdated for 4* rating. Very quiet area with not much evening entertainment.

Overall, we had great time and we would love to return one time.

We liked location, its close to beach but hotel is well oriented, so wind from beach do not disturb you when near the pool. Breakfasts were very good, dinners aswell, but for someone who do not eat seafood or mushrooms it was sometimes very difficult. Also there are no signs that meal contains mushrooms (alergen). All staff was very kind and professional. Rooms are clean and well equipmed.

Our room was very small, literally we cant use wardrobe because access was blocked by other furniture, same for safe. Air conditioning was older one and did not respond well. It felt like it has only one temperature and we can control only fan power. There is no active ventilation in bathroom, so my girlfriend sometimes had to suffer.

Relaxing hotel and spa. Enjoyed the quiet too

Breakfast, great selection. Fresh bread and fruit was great.

Would have liked a rubber mat in the bathroom as l have mobility issues and found it very difficult when exiting the shower. The pool loungers were too low for me too. Otherwise, staff were very obliging and helpful.

We would recommend this hotel for a peaceful holiday

A very restful and peaceful 5 days here We had no need to leave the hotel other than for a stroll along the beach The village had a few local shops beside the hotel but no nightlife in the area We were half board and very happy with the food, which was plentiful and mostly of good quality No problem getting sun loungers around the pool

Only one night there was entertainment,a band playing, in the hotel so most nights we were 'early to bed'

Warmly recommended hotel with spa, the kitchen staff really knows about the allergies!

Perfect for people with allergies!! The staff is very good! It was quiet.

My husband got food poison once from the dinner. The swimming pool water was too cold.

All was OK - clean, nice staff, good food, location is OK, no noise from the road etc...

The only pb was the noise from the buiding itself = when your neighbour is watching the TV, you hear it !

Great value luxurious stay in Canyamel

Great hotel in Canyamel - really close to the beach and better value for money than some of the more expensive beachfront hotels. Really big breakfast selection, huge pool area with loungers, complimentary pool/beach towels, great bar and really friendly staff. We stayed here for a wedding and really enjoyed our time.

Air conditioning wasn't the greatest - but I think Spain have new rules which means it can't go below 25 degrees. It was close to 40 degrees Celsius when we were there, so would have preferred the A/C to be colder!
