Amazing location for guests of all inclinations. My daughter and husband are the adventurous type, my son and I are more rest and relax. This property was the perfect combination of both. Steps away from sand dunes where daughter and hubs rented ATVs, while my son hung out watched the whales and got a little school work completed. At night we sat outside making s’mores by the fire pit and enjoyed the stars.

Interesting older home with gorgeous views
We had never stayed on the beach in this area before and thought it was overall a memorable and very wonderful adventure. We had no idea about the cars traveling on the beach and thought there would just be dune buggies. So we were VERY surprised to see cars and trucks with huge trailers. Shocked actually. But you could hear them and the State Beach limits the activity and daily attendance, so it was just a point of interest for us. And of course, we had to go down there one afternoon just for a ten minute drive just because we'll probably never do that again.
House was interesting architecurally and the views upstairs are stunning. We spent evenings there watching tv and slept up there. The little refrigerator and bar area were very apppropriate.
Kitchen and bathroom downstairs were newer and lovely. I worried that the potted plants aren't getting watered because they are just about dead. I hope someone cares about them enough to do something; like get rid of about 75% of them and care for the others. It's the onlly negative thing really about the decks, entry way and back patio. BBQ worked good too,

This house with its artistic architecture and unique art pieces touched my soul! 💕💕
I did spend my first hours there watering the plants and taking down the spider webs outside, but I love working outside so I was happy to do it. This property is amazingly special where treasures astound you. Well done owners 💕

Cozy, relaxing stay with all the perks
This was the perfect Beachhouse stay. Some of the perks: Amazing ocean views from the top and bottom windows, large pantry for food storage, filtered water tap, enclosed front and backyard with glass windbreak, auto blinds to block the sun when needed, very well stocked kitchen tools. It was artistically and tastefully decorated and was very cozy! We loved the relaxing ambience. We will come back again!

Great Place!!
Great location! Very cool beach house. Very nice kitchen. Has been modernized in some ways but is still beach chic in many ways. Lots of outside space to find an ideal climate to hang out in. Would definitely stay there again. (Good place for spooky seance or Ouiji board on a stormy ocean/ beach night!!) Most important, Dogs LOVED it!! Will be back.

Lovely home
We had a wonderful stay at this clean, peaceful property - would return in a heartbeat. We had groceries delivered with Instacart and used the fully-stocked kitchen and outdoor grill to prepare meals. Location and views are amazing.

Always perfect
Stayed at this wonderful home for the second time this year. Wow. I always say to my wife, "Can we just all stay here?" The amazing location on the beach and right at the beginning of the park and dunes, the fire ring on the dunes in front of the house where we eat dinner every night under the stars, the wonderful open kitchen area that makes it part of the open community of the living room and outside multi-level deck, the upstairs with living area with the amazing view of the beach and water (we watched a large pod of whales hunt out there one day--spectacular!) and giving the kids their own space, and the giant courtyard on the street-side of the house where I did several zoom sessions for my work as an executive coach, and finally the wonderful step right off the deck onto the dunes and then down to the beach for a long morning and evening walk all the way into the astounding giant dunes. We'll keep coming back and back as long as the owner will have us. This place is SPECIAL.

beware of owner and his agent
Property is in a great location but house is really rundown/not well maintained with cheap furniture and beds. At time of booking, we also informed the owner/agent that we would have our dogs (and we paid the pet fee upfront).
When we departed on time (before 11am), we made sure to follow all instructions left by the owner/agent.
We took out all the garbage, loaded and started the dishwasher, left no dishes in the sink, started a full load of towels in the laundry, and even vacuumed the place. We went above and beyond so we were stunned and shocked when the owner/agent submitted a claim more than a week after we left to try and extract more money from us claiming "excessive" dog hair required them to send comforters and blankets to a dry cleaner. What a joke, we paid a fortune to stay at this place, paid a significant pet fee in advance, and a cleaning fee. At no time did the owner/agent tell us that pets are not allowed on beds or couches. If that is what they want, they should not advertise the home as "pet friendly" or should at the very least inform renters that pets are not allowed on the furniture. Presumably the owner/agent does not state this upfront because they want to rent to as many available renters as possible and then they will just come back afterwards if you have a pet and try and charge you more.
Extremely disappointed with how they have behaved. In my opinion, I feel like they are just trying to scam me for more money which I will resist and fight as a matter of principle.

This is a quintessential California beach cottage. The house is beautifully quirky, decorated with art and an endless array of collectibles inside and out. The kitchen and downstairs bath are modern and efficient, and the large back porch open right onto the sand, with and nearby fire ring and an easy stroll down to the water's edge. We were here during the pandemic, so there were no cars or campers allowed on the beach or Oceano dunes (which are just a few minutes walk down the beach), which made for an incredibly peaceful stay. Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, SLO and Morrow Bay are all close by and provide great options for excursions and dining. And the California Fresh Market is a great nearby (less than 10 min drive) option for groceries. As we were packing up my son, who spent hours each day boogie boarding in the surf, said "I'm gonna miss this place..."
