The location was good, as only 5 minute walk to town with nice restaurants etc.
Everything! The room was awful. The windows wouldn’t close (and was on a main road), the bathroom was dirty, there was no reception on the TV, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. One of the reasons I booked was because it said there was a restaurant at the hotel (as it was a flying visit), but the restaurant hadn’t been open since covid. Out of date information on the website.

Room was accessible straight from the car park
No facilities to get an evening meal or drink at the hotel; no WiFi; car park difficult to locate; decor very tired!

Beds were comfortable and there was little noise from outside the building. Cooked breakfast (paid for separately) was good, but not exceptional, and poor value at £10 each.
Amazingly, there was no drinking water, either in our room, or, it seems, anywhere in the hotel. Not sure if this is legal in a hotel or B&B, Also there was no plug in the sink in our room.

very welcoming and room very clean, gentleman was very helpful and the lady was lovely as I was on my own for a few hours as partner working. took time out to make sure I was ok and anything else I needed
going in with an open mind due to bad reviews can’t really say anything bad. it’s old building. but staff couldn’t be anymore helpful

Good location, friendly check-in and fantastic high-pressure shower.
The decor in the bathroom was rather stark and a little maintenance needed.

DO NOT STAY! The place is infested with bed bugs, I was practically eaten alive.

Sorry, only used to sleep in.
Very little space to move about, but as only used to sleep in, adequate.

close to town centre
rude staff, thick dust and dirt everywhere, TV remote control covered in grease

No drinking water

Charged twice for the room and no one is listening to me about this

Absolutely nothing
One of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in. From check in until leaving, it was awful. The room was poor, the beds were absolutely awful, the shower was terrible and the one member of staff we did meet was argumentative.

Helpful owner let me check in early. Much better than reviews I had read. Spotless linen, very clean bathroom. Had a nice quiet fridge and a fan, much appreciated on such a hot day. Hairdryer there, everything I could need. Lovely character building. Plenty of tea/coffee making facilities. Would revisit if I'm in the area.
