About this apartment rental
An adorable efficiency apartment located in a barn on the property of an 1880's farm house on 15 acres of private land nestled in the beautiful Stecoah valley in rural Western North Carolina. The farmhouse is a separate rental, so there may be other guests on the property, but no indoor spaces are shared. The apartment has a small kitchen with a two burner cooktop, microwave oven, toaster, Nespresso, drip coffee maker and a full size refrigerator. It has a full bathroom with a walk in shower and large empty closet. The sleeping arrangements are a sofa which pulls out to a two person bed. There is a window unit air conditioning which cools down the apartment nicely and a gas wall heater. The property has 3 pastures in the back, one of which contains one horse. Behind the pastures is Stecoah Creek which is stocked with trout periodically throughout the year and fishing is allowed. The property also contains a chestnut tree orchard. You are welcome to roam the property, we just ask that you do not go into the pasture where Don the horse lives.

Very close to town!

We loved this cabin and the location but it came with several caveats. It smelled very strongly of mildew. The bed linen and towels were sour. The pillows and the couch pad smelled of disgusting, sweaty, body odor. They need to be laundered or thrown away. We had to go into town and purchase bath rags, towels, sheets, a bedspread, and Lysol. . Thankfully we brought our own pillows from home.
I specifically rented this property to park my classic car under the porch/ carport area. When we arrived there was an old dishwasher blocking the space and a large utility trailer blocked the opening and almost half of the already small driveway. The air conditioner was barely in the window leaving a large opening to the outside. The cabin was full of insects from this. We had to reposition the a/c window unit and close the window down on it. It worked well and kept us plenty cool.
There is NO cell service here and no landline so there’s no way to contact anyone with issues/ emergencies. The internet is almost nonexistent.
We had a great time and enjoyed the peace and quiet despite the above. The area is beautiful. This property could be perfect with very little effort.

4th July Weekend..Norcross Style
Rustic and pet friendly. Enjoyed our special space while my other family members rented the big house. Perfect combo of family time & private space with natural surroundings.

The Barn
Listing was accurate. Barn was cute and enough room for two. Pull out was a little uncomfortable even with the pad, but for the location and price, we managed. Loved how secluded this place was. Would definitely stay again.

Great location
We had an amazing time staying here. The property they have is absolutely beautiful & incredibly peaceful too. Nights with a campfire were amazing as well, especially when it started getting colder. We became friends with the renters in the house & made it a daily ritual to hang out at the campfire every day. It was really great to become friends with Don & see him on a daily basis as well. Such a great location!! We loved the way the place was refinished & decorated, great touches & very homey. We would love to stay here again in the future as we had such a great stay there!

Very comfortable and clean
Post the notes in a better spot. I bought linens because I missed the fridge side. Maybe on the table or counter?

Amazing property
The Junebug studio is exactly as described. It was a fine place for my wife and I to retire for two nights after exploring the surrounding mountain destinations. Our dog Daisy loved the open space to run around and play. There are neighbors but they are far enough away that you feel like you’re in your own secluded hollow. The host was quick to respond to any questions and was happy to help. Very enjoyable experience!

Mountain Retreat
Love this little apartment style barn! There is a outside area with picnic table, fire, and tv. They was darts to play while you hangout. Lots of local trails. Make sure to bring groceries because closest restaurants are about 20-30 min away.

Quiet Getaway
Was needing a quiet getaway and found it. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we enjoyed it. From sitting outside at the picnic table, to walking around the road. Every moment was enjoyable.

Peaceful & Relaxing
What a wonderful place this was to stay & enjoy my weekend. I was hesitant with it being a 1800's Barn Reno..but man..what a great job they did! Do not be fooled by the 'Sleeper Sofa". Not typical couch bed w bar & they provided a 4 in mattress foam topper. Oh!! The fragrence of fabric softner.. added bonus! Linen & towels, soft to touch.
The outdoor sitting area is perfect for morning coffee & evening wine.
I would definitely come back to this Junebug Studio.

Cute converted barn studio great location near Fontana Lake!
Junebug studio is one to remember! We had great communication with the property owners and they gave us all the information we needed. This studio is the perfect simplistic getaway in a converted barn. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful views of the property and we got to walk down the gravel road to say hi to the horse, Don! The window AC kept us nice and cool and the space was very accommodating for our dog as well. A nice sized shower, a large TV in the living room, outdoor chairs to sit beside the chiminea, and a 10 minute drive to Fontana Lake. We will be returning!

We couldn’t have had a better stay. Owners were fantastic and super sweet neighbors. Pictures don’t give this cabin and property any justice. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful setting, cozy atmosphere!
This was a wonderful, quaint, cabin in the woods. If you're looking for solitude, this is it. The most relaxing weekend I've had in some time. I will definitely be back in the future!

Beautiful place to stay.
The pictures do not do this place justice. Perfect place for a couple. Quiet and beautiful. Gatlinburg is about two hours away and plenty of close places for rafting.Make sure you take a drive along the dragon's tail. The cabin studio is beautiful as is the property. Do yourself a favor and make the reservation.
