As you open the front door, discover how 13-foot ceilings downstairs allowed installation of balconies and shutters inside to bring the French Quarter right into the living room, and an art-deco bar and pool table create a Flapper-Era New Orleans Billiards Club!

Gilded candelabras highlight elegant a dining space that could accommodate a Royal Feast. The professionally-equipped aspiring-chef’s kitchen features modern appliances seamlessly integrated with 1920’s art deco throwbacks. Before you do any cooking, take the quick walk to Rouse’s market, a NoLa landmark, which specializes in providing the newest recipes and accompanying ingredients from all of New Orleans’ world-renown chefs.

The downstairs bedroom is well-separated and sound-insulated, with its own en-suite full bath. A ½-bath downstairs serves common area guests and another ½-bath serves the garden courtyard with covered patio, five-burner outdoor grill/wetbar, pool, jacuzzi, gas firepit, and lounge and bistro seating. Don’t forget to pick up some grill-worthy gulf prawns while you’re at Rouse’s!

Back inside, the butterfly staircase leads to 12-foot ceilings upstairs, a reading nook with coffee/tea station, and desk space with ultra high-speed internet. Four bedrooms on the upper floor (and the bedroom downstairs as well) are adorned with jacquard-sateen comforters, 800 thread-count sheets, and featherbed toppers over firm mattresses creating sleeping comfort our guests refer to as “the cocoon.” The upstairs bedrooms all have direct access to full, oversized bathrooms. Architecturally-unique 10-foot bottom-slide windows from two of the bedrooms open to the full-width balcony, where you can sip your mint julep shaded by a 100-year-old Oak tree.

Intentionally chosen for its ideal location—Less than 10 minutes’ walk to the French Quarter, Superdome, National WWII Museum, Cruise Terminal, Convention Center, Riverboat Jazz Brunches, Harrah’s Casino, the Aquarium of the Americas, Mardi Gras World, just to name a few, surrounded by so many top restaurants within 2 blocks that you may never even get on the St Charles Streetcar (1 block away from the house)—but on a quiet street allowing peaceful repose after an eventful day or in preparation for a night-on-the-town, Sweet Emma’s Ragtime Royale honors the first bandleader of Preservation Hall, Sweet Emma Barrett, simultaneous breaker of color and gender barriers in music history, with her photos reverently displayed astride the record player.

a) Three full bathrooms: two upstairs with direct access from each bedroom, plus one in the downstairs bedroom.
b) One 1/2 bath downstairs to serve the common areas.
c) One "Cabana Bath"--1/2 bath outside for the pool / courtyard.

PARKING: Free and safe street parking is always available directly in front of, within 1/2-block of the house.

POOL AND JACUZZI CLEANING:

Non-routine cleaning sanitizing, or maintenance needed due to guest misuse (cleaning that requires any draining of the pool or hot tub, e.g. alcohol spills or "personal accidents") will be charged $300 against the security deposit.
Cleaning requiring full draining (e.g. glass breakage in the pool) will be charged $600 plus the next night's rental rate, since we cannot rent the property that coming night.
If you let us know about a spill, accident, etc. so that our staff can be ready to take care of it, we will deduct 10% from the security deposit charge as a thank you for your honesty. If you let us know with enough time to correct the problem without losing the next night's rental, we will not charge that to you.

Security Cameras are on the outside of the house, and are recording during a reservation, NO cameras are inside the home or have a view of the inside of the house.

Noise detection sensors installed at the property – These devices monitor decibel levels at the property 24 hours a day and automatically notify us if noise levels are too high.

Cool looking house! We were happy with the location. Beds were comfortable. We booked this house for the amenities: pool, hot tub, pool table. We had a full house and planned to stay at the house most of the time and enjoy each other since we don’t get to see each other often. I contacted the host 48 hours in advance-specifically asking that the pool is heated and hot tub hot. Less than 30 minutes before our arrival, when I had not received check in codes yet, and was not receiving an answer thru the app I called the host directly. He gave me our code and notified us that the hot tub was drained for repairs. Ok… then upon arriving the pool was freezing (later on we found out around 60*) The host messaged they were working on it. Small detail: but the pool sticks didn’t even have tips on them…all around none of the fun stuff worked! Next day still freezing pool-hot tub was being worked on. I messaged the host thru the app my frustration with the situation-especially since I messaged them 48 hours before getting there and they said the pool is around 80* all year and hot, hot tub. At this point-they stopped communicating with me, and never responded. Saturday-cold pool-Warming UP hot tub Sunday we checked out and everything was warm and hot as we were checking out and walking out the door. Nice… Horrible communication and customer service. I utilized vacation rentals about 3-5 times a year. Something always comes up-but this was handled unbelievably unprofessionally.

The house was nice and my family enjoyed the stay, but the house had plumbing and electrical issues. On the second day of our stay, one of the upstairs baths started leaking which caused a large puddle to form in bathroom which eventually leaked onto electrical sockets downstairs causing them to spark and smoke. This was very stressful scene for my family to come back to after a fun day in the city. Eventually we figured out the bathroom issue and shut off the sink valves which stopped the water from puddling, but there was already too much water in the walls. The breaker on the first floor finally tripped stopping the smoke and sparking but we were without power for half the first floor. We called the management company about the issue. They responded quickly and were very polite, but the issue was never resolved for the rest of our stay and no discount was offered for the inconvenience. That is the reason for the low score.

We enjoyed a great weekend at this property with three other couples. There was plenty of space, beds were comfortable, house was clean, and we all loved the New Orleans decor. We arrived early in the day and reached out about the potential to drop our bags off ahead of check-in. There was no flexibility there but the owner suggested a luggage storage place that we used which worked well. Thanks for a great stay!

This house is everything! The size, design, amenities, and beautiful details were spectacular. We loved the location, and being on a quiet street with safe, free parking is really unique for NOLA. Both the management company and the owners are very communicative. Thanks for everything!

Upon arrival, there was smelly trash at the front entrance. We encounter multiple homeless people outside the door when we first arrived and went to get in our cars parked in front of the unit. Didn’t feel family friendly with a 7 and 9 year old. There were finger prints on the doors for the previous renters and they left thing in the drawers in the downstairs bedroom. The outside of the house was not clean; balcony was dusty, dirty and filthy. The bathroom door in the pool area would not lock and was useless. The pool was advertised as warm 80 degrees, that was not they case, cause the kids to not want to swim in the very cold water. There was a bug infestation (large roaches and flying bugs/nats or fruit flies. I booked based on the VRBO brand and this property did not make the mark.

Place was clean inside but the outdoor area seemed to be neglected. The pool was not available for use and the hot tub water level was low. Beds were comfortable and the place had lots of New Orleans charm! There was plenty of street parking as advertised.
