Sitting among the trees on the banks of the Sandy River, you will find the Brightwood Riverfront Getaway. This stunning 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom home is a perfect blend of comfort and style. It is nestled in a family friendly neighborhood and bathed in natural light, with incredible river and forest views. At just over 15 miles from Government Camp at Mt. Hood, this home is a perfect location to explore and enjoy everything the region has to offer.
Upon entering, you will be greeted with a warm and open floor plan connecting the spacious living and dining area to the recently upgraded kitchen. The custom river rock gas fireplace will keep you warm while enjoying the plush and comfortable furniture. You can't miss the river and forest views from the kitchen and dining area. The sliding glass doors open up onto a large deck with ample seating and gas BBQ grill. The scenery is breathtaking.
Also on the main level is the primary suite with en-suite bathroom and an additional half bathroom. The incredible primary suite has been meticulously appointed with everything you might need for a luxurious stay including a TV for streaming, custom furniture, a gas fireplace, and forested river views from the bed.
The garage has been converted into an epic game room that all ages can enjoy. Loaded with seating, there are tables and surfaces for puzzles and quality family time. Check out the foosball table, large selection of board games as well as a TV for additional viewing pleasure.
Upstairs are two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower and a jacuzzi tub. The elevated river views from the bathroom and each bedroom are something special for sure. One upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, while the other has two twin bunk beds for a fantastic blend of sleeping options. Both bedrooms have ample closet space.
While there are countless amenities in the house, outside has incredible offerings as well. Just down from the deck you will notice the unique, cedar wood barrel sauna as well as the custom fire pit on gravel and rock surrounded by rustic seating elements, with the Sandy River by your side. This is a special spot, enjoyable year round, that isn't to be missed. If you want to explore the backyard area more, there is a short trail to the right that leads down to the river and opens up onto a sand and rock “beach" where you can sit by the river's edge, or you can continue on the trail to the left and explore the river sights even more.
Staying here also includes access to the neighborhood clubhouse (about a 3 minute walk) which offers a private community pool, sauna, basketball court and tennis court in the summer months. This home is equipped with the ”Haven Home Battery Backup System” to keep guests comfortable in case of a power outage.
The Brightwood Riverfront Getaway is without a doubt a truly special vacation home in the region. The home was fully renovated in 2020 and is filled with custom finishes throughout. New quartz countertops were installed in the kitchen and bathrooms. All new flooring and fixtures, as well as custom built log beds in each bedrooms. There are two large flat screen TVs, a ski and snowboard storage area, washer/dryer, central heat/AC, as well as a large wrap around deck with gas grill. You won't want to miss your chance to stay while you enjoy and explore everything the area has to offer. Please reach out if you have any questions at all.
Special information: During winter months it is possible traction devices could be necessary. We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. There is a security camera that faces the driveway and parking area.
PET FRIENDLY: Dogs Only **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. This house was located in a nice mountain neighborhood. The property overlooks a river and has access to walk to the river. it was very peaceful. The inside of the house was very well maintained and the set up was great for our multi age group. Having the garage set up as a game room was great for us to be able to spread out and do different activities in the house.

Sitting on the deck / lying in the hammock whilst listening to the river and birds was bliss. Though a bit of a drive, we found it well located for Portland, Mount Hood, trails, fruit farms, etc. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Two families of 4 stayed at this gorgeous river front house. We were all very comfortable. The master bedroom bed was spectacular. Very comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed. The house was clean. The sauna was a welcome addition. The master bedroom opens to a deck overlooking the river. We were there in winter but this would be so great in the summer. Just gorgeous location. We plan to be back!

the house an amenities were fantastic! The sauna was unique and enjoyable, incredible addition to the experience. There was a burn ban so we didn't get to enjoy the fire pit but everything was beautiful and homey, we really enjoyed our stay. There were lots of spices and condiments to use and I left ours to add to the collection, well stocked kitchen, It was lovely, I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay as two families with toddlers (four adults, two kids under 2). The kitchen was well stocked and ready for us to cook and the game room was a fun bonus. The only note I have is that we did not have access to the walk in closet in the first floor bedroom. We had intended to have one of the babies sleep in there but it was locked for the homeowner's storage. Overall, the house was lovely and we look forward to visiting again.

I loved the home, very clean. The location was perfect, we visited Timberline, Government Camp and Ski Bowl. We spent most of our time outside, on the deck and we brought our own chairs and sat on the nice beachy area along the river for many hours. We had an evening fire in the firepit area. It is a beautiful home in a great location, even walking around the neighborhood was fun,
The beds are a bit firm. We had 6 adults and the only one that slept well was in the queen room upstairs. Downstairs bathrooms have motion sensor lights that are very bright with no adjustments, so you get hit with bright light while sleeping.
Kitchen is well equipped but I thought there was a regular coffee maker and one that used KCups. Not a KCup compatible machine, FYI.

Beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood and the sound of the rushing water was peaceful. Location was great and easy access to key places in Oregon. Beds were comfortable. Living room could use 1 or 2 more comfortable chairs and the upstairs bedroom could use pillows without the shams on them. Only other suggestion would be to have a window covering on the upstairs bathroom shower window. There are people who walk behind the house and can see through the clear glass window. I would highly recommend this home and their communication with us was always quick.

Incredible Stay
We rented this home for two families with kids for a long weekend. This may be one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Perfect location on the river. Updated and very clean home which was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable which is rare in a rental. The kids LOVED the game as did the adults. The management company was very responsive and great communicators of getting into the home. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful stay here - the place was clean, well labeled, and in good condition, the kitchen was well stocked, the river views were gorgeous, and we had a lot of fun in the game room with the old school arcade system! Fun in the Rain
Despite the Sandy resembling Chocolate Milk and running at near flood stages, we had a lovely stay! We streamed a movie, played some throwback video games, and made s’mores at the fire pit during a brief respite from the rain. On a particularly dry morning, we all went in a hike at the Sandy River Trailhead - so lovely! Would absolutely stay again. The house was just wonderful. The best part was waking up to the sound of the rushing stream! Such a beautiful setting. It had everything you could possibly need. One thing it does need is a coffee maker that works (it needs some maintenance or a new one). Everything else, we loved and didn't want to leave.

We enjoyed our stay here. House is nicely located with river flowing in your backyard. If you are looking for a peaceful place where you can unwind, this could be your place.
The house was well stocked from all perspectives (Kitchen, Bathrooms, linens, patio etc.). The house has a full Game room with lots of space. Thats where we spent most of our time and also introduced our kids to the classical ARCADE games, yes they have an Arcade machine. if you grew up in 90s and have spent hours playing video games, this house is ready to impress you.
Overall, we loved our small time away and enjoyed everything this house had to offer.

Beautiful Home and Property!
This home and property are amazing. The view to the back is just gorgeous! The home is VERY clean and was stocked with everything we needed and more. There are many thoughtful touches throughout the house (decor and otherwise). We were even welcomed with bottle of wine! Our kids loved the game room, the community pool, lounging in the hammock, and having access to the river. My husband and I loved having dinner on the deck and morning coffee right outside our bedroom, all while listening to the soothing sounds of the river. The master bedroom is beautiful and the bed was so comfortable! The property manager was very accessible and reached out to make sure check-in went smoothly and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this home and will definitely be back again. If it's available, rent it! You won't be disappointed.
