Our family of five booked a three night stay before we were able to know how the weather was going to be. Within several days of leaving from Massachusetts we realized that there was going to be a lot of rain. A bummer but we all understood we will make the best of it. Let me tell you, the games downstairs were a huge hit! Adults and kids enjoyed! The hot tub was perfectly placed under a covering and while it was raining we could still enjoy the outdoors in the hot tub and the kids could play games in the game area. The pictures are exactly what this place looks like! Kitchen was equipped with almost everything you need except the food, lol...and within 20 minutesthere were plenty of food places to eat and shop. We will definitely go back if we are able too! Thank you for an amazing home away from home Chris and Tommy! inderhot

Quick, prompt, friendly and accurate communication with the owners. The property was very clean, spacious and well stocked with basic provisions, games, areas for cooking, eating together and enjoying some time at the property. I travel quite a bit and was exceptionally pleased with this property and the owners. I highly recommend the property and the owners!

Chris and Thomas are great hosts. We were a group of 8 friends (4 couples) and fit comfortably - all 4 bedrooms had queen or larger beds which was a big plus for us. Kitchen was well stocked, game room was fun, and the hot tub was great after a long day skiing with Okemo being less than 10 minutes away. Thank you!

On balance this is a great property and the owners are easy to deal with. The house is small but but certainly adequate. The outdoor deck is really the best feature of the property. It is great for having breakfasts and lunches outside. The beds are comfy, the kitchen well equipped, and the large finished downstairs area is a bonus (even though we did not need it). Air conditioning was out biggest problem. The bedrooms have window units but there are none in the Great Room/Kitchen which has a whole wall of windows facing the sun. Afternoon temps inside reached 93 degrees for several hours so you could not sit there or cook. Our other suggestion is that two of the bedrooms need some sort of dresser or shelves in the closets. It was tough living out of a suitcase for a full two weeks. The location is about ten minutes from Ludlow and about twenty minutes from Rutland. The house sits right on Rt. 103 but surprisingly the road noise was not problem. A train line is just a few feet from the back fence but again the train noise (daytime only) was not an issue. The driver of the train even waved to us! We would certainly consider coming back if the A/C gets sorted out. Thank you Chris.

At first I wasn't going to book this propery because there was only two reviews I was going off of but I'm glad I did. I have a dog so it's hard for me to travel as I don't have anyone to stay with my dog so it was perfect that this property also allowed you to bring your pet. I stayed at the house with my adult son, my 17 year old daughter & their grandparents as well. We had a blast. As I have a teenager I must say you have no cell phone reception what so ever but my family was OK with that. I live on a busy street where I'm from so with this property also being off of a busy highway it didn't bother me. Where I live I also have a train track across the street from me so the train in back of the house wasn't a problem & we all thought it was super cool how the train was so close. The house is gorgeous. The beds are super comfortable!! There are a lot of games downstairs & a hot tub as well. There is a beautiful deck with plenty of furniture & a charcoal grill. Chris is really nice & very responsive. He gets back to you as soon as he can & always answers any questions you have!!

Perfect getaway.
Perfect getaway.
Absolutely wonderful getaway, our only regret is we didn't book longer. We were just looking to get away from work and out of cell range, which was perfect. Looked at many places and settled on this place, so thankful to have found it. Certainly would go back. Thank you!

The home is a cozy cabin with an updated rustic-modern upstairs and less-updated rustic downstairs. All bedrooms (3 Queen UP and 1 King DOWN) are updated and have very soft linens, good pillows and comforters and all have ceiling fans. The upstairs bathroom is updated while the downstairs bathroom is not updated, but all in good working order. Note, that the ceilings in the basement bedroom and bathroom are very low — low enough to scrape your knuckles on the popcorn while removing a shirt or blow drying your hair. Upstairs Kitchen is well appointed with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, air fryer, Keurig and coffee pot, toaster, pots/pans, flatware, dishes. There is a table for 6-8 upstairs. The downstairs also has a full kitchen (seems original to the home) with coffee pot, mugs, dishes only. There is a table for 4 downstairs. The living room upstairs has a couch, loveseat, and large chair with ottoman, TV, and a small desk. The family room downstairs has a dartboard, foosball table, couch, and laundry room. The upstairs deck is not covered and has 4 chairs. The downstairs deck is covered and has a hot tub (for 2-3), a loveseat, and chair. There is also a stack of plastic Adirondack chairs that can be placed in the yard around the fire pit. The 2 car garage is available for use. Home is off a relatively busy road and car noise is noticeable. A railroad track runs behind the backyard but trains are few and only during day time hours with minimal noise disruption. Stargazing is excellent. Mosquito spray and citronella candles are provided. Hosts are very responsive and welcoming. Recommend them and this property.
