Superb location on seafront with short walk to town and great access to local attractions. However property needs some attention paid to cleanliness and maintenance:
- deck speckled with bird droppings and beach chairs completely encrusted and unusable. Other chairs only comfortable for limited duration.
- windows dirty (cleaned ourselves)
- Tub/shower slow draining
- minimal or zero kitchen supplies (salt and pepper, sugar and teas) pot, pans etc pretty tired condition.
With a few improvements and greater attention to maintenance this place would be ideal.

We enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful old building facing the seafront. It was nice to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day while sitting on the balcony or wrapped in a blanket at the start of a day, sitting in the rocking chair, sipping coffee and watching the day break. Check in was very easy and Debbie and Phil were quick to respond to our questions. Thanks for a great stay!

Cozy beachside town. Beautiful views, comfortable home, great tub, loved the touches left for us.( bread and jam) would love to visit again. Thanks Ruth

The property was everything I was looking for! The location, the view, the facilities were just as described & exactly what I wanted. I spent a long time looking on various sites before finding this but it was worth the effort! I was sad to leave and hope to return. The double bed is so comfortable - I can’t recall when I last slept so well.

We’ve stayed in Hythe often over the years. This is a lovely location on a quiet part of the seafront. Handy for shops and cafes.

We have just returned from a fabulous weeks in this special apartment. Views are amazing, apartment beautifully decorated with every possible home comfort. The owner was incredible and ensured an amazing experience was had.

Very good flat , however the hall needs a deep clean
We enjoyed our stay

Lovely flat, everything we needed and plenty of space. No problem parking. Entrance hall is a little tired and there was a bit of noise from the upstairs flat but that is not the property owner’s fault . Overall a 5 star stay

We had a fantastic few days at Debbie’s lovely apartment.
It started well with her leaving us some bread, milk and supplies so we could have a cuppa on arrival. Got even better when we sat on the balcony enjoying the fabulous views.
Bed comfy. Shower great. Kitchen well stocked. Place was warm already but when it got a little nippy in the evening we just turned the thermostat up and it was cosy again in minutes.
The hall and stairs didn’t bother us one bit.
Thank you Debbie!

Short break by the sea
Nicely furnished 2 bedroom flat, fantastic location. Recommend discovering the whole of Hythe. Walk up into the hills for great views. Places to eat are The Waterfront and The White Hart. Stroll along the canal, so relaxing. Enjoy the walk along the promenade.

Spectacular view
It took a long time to find a good property to rent on the Kent coast. But we succeeded with this one! The host, Debbie, was constantly helpful as we planned our trip. And the flat was just as described. The view from the balcony of this first floor apartment is spectacular with uninterrupted views over the English Channel. We had sunny weather so we could see France on the horizon. The flat was clean, bright and airy - a perfect place to stay. The flat is in a terrace of properties that are undergoing change, but this did not distract at all for us. The views of the promenade allow you to see life go effortlessly by and it was so relaxing. It was a great base to explore other sights of Kent and east Sussex from too. We would definitely recommend it to all.

We all loved the apartment, which was the perfect location, and just what we hoped for and more - we were warned not to judge the flat by the entrance hall and stairwell, which was just as well, as this really could do with a complete makeover (but we assume that you are aware of this, and there may be reasons why this has not been attended to, that we are unaware of)
We stress that we did love the flat, but did think of some constructive criticism, which would have enhanced it for us, if not for others.
1) Grab rail(s) to assist older people use the shower / jacuzzi.
2) Chest of drawers in the main (back bedroom)
3) Milk jug (very small issue really)
4) Pack of information on local cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, newsagents and other shops of interest, doctors, dentists, hospitals, taxi companies etc.
Please don't think that any of the above affected our holiday at your lovely apartment, they are meant solely to be useful feedback.
Best wishes

Stay for the sea view
We were inspired to visit Hythe by the BBC series "Back To Life". It was our first visit to the area and it certainly lived up to expectations. I would recommend staying here. The location on the sea front was wonderful.
4.8
lovely see view
although an older home, and a floor of stairs to go up, the high ceilings and airy feel lead to the great sea view and relaxed balcony to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon tea and people watching!!! apartment has everything you need and plenty of space for a family 4 and a fabulous jacuzzi bathtub to relax in.
4.8
Fab location
Perfect apartment. Like other reviewers said, don’t let the main entranceway put you off. Once inside the apartment, it’s absolutely perfect. Just gorgeous for swimming and watching the sunsets. Debbie was very helpful and quick to respond to queries.

Perfect seaside retreat with unrestricted views.
Wow what a view, from Folkstone to Dungeness & across to France(binoculars supplied). Sunrise to sunset. The perfect location, first floor, right on the seafront.
Fully equipped kitchen with a food parcel of milk, butter, bread, jam, tea & coffee & biscuits left for us & much appreciated.
Fridge freezer, microwave, hob, washing machine, home from home. Large living room/diner with views to the sea. Chairs & table on the long balcony perfect for the morning cuppa. A double room with the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on away from home (I'm like princess & the pea when it comes to beds) with a view to the rear up to town just glimpsing the edge of St Leonard's Church. Worth a visit to see the church ossuary with 1000 skulls & bones, open in summer months(check online).
A 2nd bedroom to front with 2 single beds looking just as comfy and a sea view.
Large bathroom with a large jacuzzi/bath & powerful shower. Towels supplied.
In the large hallway the chest of drawers has games, books & DVD's in case you forgot or just want to cosy up & chill out.
For going out Hythe has a variety of shops, supermarkets, cafés & pub/restaurants. Highly recommended The White Hart on the High St. Fantastic food, pub & service. Lots of independent shops to peruse. The chippy on Park Rd, 10 min walk, does tasty fish n chips. You can park at the front opposite side to disabled signs or there is allocated parking at rear of property.
As someone before has said don't be put off by the communal hallway, others live here too but open the front door to flat and its lovely spacious rooms & decor transport you straight to your holiday.
All in a lovely stay & recommend. Debbie, the host, is on hand if you need & communicates promptly.
Thanks for a lovely stay. 😀

Don’t be put off by the communal area when you arrive.
Great place to visit, lovely beaches, lovely walks all on the flat.
All in all a lovely holiday

Our first thought when we arrived into the communal area was one of “what have we let ourselves in for “ but as soon as we opened and shut the front door to the apartment all this was put to rest.
The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable and all with a lovely view. It was well equipped with everything you could need.
The apartment is very well situated with a short walk into the high street where there are plenty of places to eat and drink and lovely little shops to wander around.
You can walk all along the seafront to Sandgate and reward yourself with a meal or drink out. Alternatively you can hop on the bus for a short ride to Folkestone and enjoy some lovely seafood.
For a week away to relax and chill we found the apartment and surrounding area perfect.

Two mums hatched a plan to escape for a few days for some rest and we couldn’t have found a better place. This apartment is just lovely, in a fab location right on the beach, just a short walk from shops and cafe/restaurants. The balcony was great for watching the world go by and it has everything you could need for a short break!

Balcony views to die for...
A glorious week watching the world go by from the comfort of the balcony. The beach is a stones through literally away and with only a 10 minute walk to local restaurants and shops what more can you ask for.
The apartment is lovely, decorated and kitted out well and with such an amazing bath tub my teenage girls didn’t want to do much else.
Not often to I go back to a holiday home but I would book again. Well worth a visit.
