Wonderful location with everything close by.
The stairs and ensuite are not for the faint hearted. The place was in need of decoration and a house manual would have been useful. The heating was off and we had to search for the instructions. Bathroom towel rail wasn’t working along with some lights.

Location
Dated and in poor condition . Owner doesn’t recognise the issues made clear to them

Extremely well equipped, very comfortable, great location
It was all fantastic, couldn’t fault it

Location and plenty of room. Clean and with everything you need
Stairs a bit precarious but that’s just the cottage design

A month before the holiday we were moved to 30b from the cottage. As double booked. It’s larger but not an upgrade as iit is above the deli in high st. Location is ok and the kitchen lounge bedrooms are good.
Main bathroom is really poor, about 20yrs old tiny basin, awful shower, tired bath decor. The carpet is minging. The room needs painting. It’s like student accommodation from the 80s. The outside space is the fire escape overlooking the deli bins. It was not ideal for our small dog and not especially pleasant to sit out.

Spacious. Tasteful decor with a nautical theme. More facilities than we chose to use. Quiet location. Lots of flowers, especially hollyhocks and roses. These comments refer to Buttercup Cottage.
There were a few practical issues, which hopefully won’t recur, which were speedily and amicably resolved with the owner, communicating by email.

Dreadful - bed linen smelt. Place was dirty. would not give a refund. bed squeaking. was given an allen key to tighten it but it wouldn't fit. bathroom smelt and too small to fit in. Owner refused to give some money back.

Lovely location, comfy bed and nice to have a bath, even though it was small!! Dog friendly
Precarious stairs. Upstairs ensuite very cramped and uncomfortable! Didn't realise cottage was available all day on Sat, until I re read email, last comment! We would have loved to have got in earlier, so helpful if that was first thing on email.

Typical norfolk cottage.

We love Blakeney, and it was so good to be in the centre of the village. A cozy cottage with all we needed.
The stairs are tricky, as highlighted before we arrived. Also the ensuite is cramped and impractical, we didn't use it.

Location is perfect. Beds are very comfy, which is always a bonus Parking close to the cottage was easy. Very secluded and quiet and an amazing deli five minutes walk away. Waitrose and Tesco will both deliver to the cottage which is another bonus.
Let down by very poor cleaning, this is something the owner is unlikely to be aware of if they are using a holiday home cleaning company. staircase is very steep and not mentioned in cottage details. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Wardrobes are not fixed to the wall and tip forward when opening the doors
Kitchen is poorly equipped. Two of the dining chairs required fixing and the downstairs is shabby and the ceiling had water stains.
Ending on a positive note, if the cottage was to be decorated throughout, a safety rail or rope added to the stairway and the minor repairs made, the cottage would definitely have the wow factor

The place was dirty and full of gust

Self catering cottage. The cottage was clean but shabby.
The decoration was tired. Our bedroom window sash was broken and wouldn't stay open. We were not warned about a steep twisty staircase.

Very close to Blakeney Quay and marshes. We were actually changed from our initial booking at 118 to 30a.
Very noisy. Both the deli next door and flat above. No garden to let my dog out. It's a shared alleyway with the flat and deli which my bedroom door opened onto so I had to keep the curtains pulled. Ridiculous narrow , steep stairs up to a cupboard with a shower and loo. ( I'm 5.6 tall and 9 stone and couldn't stand upright in there ) the other bathroom and kitchen were filthy. Thank goodness for the spray bleach to clean the loo! The kitchen is horrendous. Dirty tiled worktops and sticky glasses. All very grubby. Unimpressed all round. We were actually moved from our initial booking at 118 High St to 30a , ironically because there was no cleaner to do a changeover.

The location
The charm
The comfortable beds
The peace and quiet
Could've done with a cupboard on wall in kitchen to put food in.
The ensuite - had to stand in shower tray to use the sink - but it IS a cottage and it was great to have an ensuite at all!
An arrangement/parking pass with the Legion Hall opposite would've been great although we parked there and paid daily so it was fine
Hanging space in the twin bed room was terrible - token only, but we got round that so it's in no way a complaint only a comment!
We muddled through on working the hob - no instructions found.

Location of this property good. Quaint village with lovely scenic walks 2 minutes away. Local SPAR shop, very handy and the local pubs served very good food.
The property was not clean, although the host did send cleaners to rectify, they still did not do a good job. There is too much clutter and aged items in this property, a cottage can be quaint without looking aged and tired. Smelt very musty too, which was a shame as there is a lot of potential here. The sofa wasn't very comfy either. We were moved from our original property we booked to this one, due to overbookings and although this one was bigger, we didn't need bigger.

The cottage was lovely clean and tidy , and everything we needed was there . It was so peaceful and relaxing .
Wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Nice and clean cottage in a great location.

Location was satisfactory for the purpose of our stay. Parking convenient.
Overall not very clean- dusty chairs and books on shelves very, very old and hardly ever cleaned - certainly not wanting to handle irrespective of COVID issues.
Fridge door hanging off the wooden side.
No instructions on how to use any of the electrical items.
Heater in bedroom behind a cupboard so not possible to use without moving furniture.
I also believe that the pre-booking information said two bathrooms (one of my reasons for choosing this cottage) but clearly no second bathroom - just an outside toilet (although not clear which cottage this linked to)

This is a pretty, traditional Norfolk cottage, which is quite small but adequate, with good self-catering facilities, a comfortable sitting/dining room, good electric heaters but also a fireplace for cosiness. The location is excellent, 5 or 10 minutes' walk from the harbour down the quaint high street. The Wiveton Hall cafe is 10 minutes' walk away, serving an excellent breakfast. Morston Quay is a short drive away, for seal watching trips, though there may also be trips from Blakeney harbour itself. There are various coastal or wetland walks. We always found on-street free parking, though availability is quite limited, and paid car parks are available in case.

Cottage was cosy and perfect for 2 people, bed was very comfortable. Kitchen compact. Sunny aspect and nicely set back from the road.
Kitchen not particularly well equipped, (not much cutlery lack of small sharp knife, no colanders sieve). Couldn’t get DVD player to work. Did leave a message shortly after we’d arrived on the contact number we’d been given to ask a couple of questions but no one returned our call. Not as close to the quay as description implied. Great for a couple but not sure you would want more than 2 people staying there. But having said all this it did suit our needs for this 3 night break.

The cottage was cheerful, beautifully decorated and we'll equipped.
One of the beds broke. Just bad luck. The slats gave way when one of us sat down.
