This is a wonderful home in a great location! The space is very clean and updated. The owner is attentive and very nice, took a call from me on our first evening there to help me figure out the internet (our toddler monitor wasn’t connecting to wifi). She was so helpful and responsive. She even allowed us to extend our check out by 1 hour! Location is very convenient. It can get a bit noisy with sirens due to a nearby fire station, but my family mostly slept through it! The beds were extremely comfortable.

We had a great stay in this wonderful, nicely renovated townhouse in Old Town. It was wonderful to be able to walk to all the great shops and restaurants on King Street. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed.

The host was very responsive with any and all questions we messaged her with prior to our visit. She provided us with a parking pass as we rented a car (due to needing a car seat for my 11 month old). Parallel parking on the street was usually available for us during the week. A car is definitely not necessary though and if we came back without kids I would plan to Uber or walk most places.
The location of this unit in Old Town Alexandria was fantastic! Easy to walk out the door and around the corner to start shopping, eating and drinking on King Street. We had great weather during our stay and walked down to the Potomac to eat most meals with a view of the water. Highly recommend Vola’s, Hummingbird and Charter House for fresh seafood options and great drinks!
We had hoped to go into DC, which we discovered would have been fairly easy from this location using public transportation, but we honestly enjoyed Old Town so much we did not feel the need to leave!
The unit was professionally cleaned prior to our arrival. The host was kind enough to let us check in a few hours early! The kitchen is well organized and has everything you need-including a separate wine fridge! Great dining room with lots of seating. The outdoor space was a huge bonus and could easily seat a large group of people. The bedrooms were very nicely decorated with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms all appeared to be updated somewhat recently. Perfect space for our family get away!

We went with a group of couples and this property was great for a group of 6. It was very clean and comfortable. Everyone remarked on how comfortable the beds were. The basement area was good for gathering with comfortable couches and a larger tv. We also enjoyed spending time out on the patio, even though it was late February. The location is great, we were able to park our car and forget it for our stay. Check out process was very simple.

This is one of the best rentals I've stayed at - the backyard space was beautiful (tons of seating), the fridge and freezer are spacious, and there's TONS of kitchenware. Beds were very comfortable.
It was the perfect spot to take advantage of great weather the weekend of the Marine Corps Marathon. Loved that this was within a 15 minute walk to the King St Metro & 20+ minute walk down to the waterfront along King Street. Also within walking distance of Trader Joe's if you don't want to rent a car, but it certainly is a walk.
Only downside was the sirens from ambulances going by throughout the weekend, for anyone sensitive to the noise.
Would definitely recommend this location!

Not a brag, just a statement of fact-we’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs over the past decade plus, and this is one of the best. Staying here really made our vacation-if you can call
it that when you’re retired. We were close to restaurants and retail, with a doable walk to the Metro. The renovated kitchen wanted for nothing, the beds were comfy, and the outdoor area was cozy. It was so nice to spend a day exploring, and come ‘home’ to this property, because that’s what it felt like. There are stairs, so keep that in mind.

Check-in very easy. Great kitchen, great bedrooms, great back patio. Loved that they made the whole process so easy. I’ve started to realize that people with beautiful homes are far less demanding in their checkout process then people with homes that need help. This place was outstanding.

Beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. Tastefully decorated. So close to restaurants, trolly car, and Metro. Just parked car and walked and took trolly everywhere. We will definitely stay here again.

The house is gorgeous, well-stocked and exactly as advertised. The house is newly renovated with high end finishes and stocked with luxurious towels and other supplies. We really appreciated that everything was labeled and well-organized. The location was perfect for our girls trip to the DC area. Walking distance to the Metro and to Old Town Alexandria shops, restaurants and waterfront. Overall, this is the best property, I've found in my VRBO experience.

We had a great time in Alexandria!! Danelle was a pleasure to work. The house is amazing, very well kept, clean and spacious for our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenage girls). It's right off King street and a few minutes walk to the Metro (we did a day trip to the National mall). Tons of great eating spots. Check out Midnight Treats if you are looking for some treats for the kiddos! It recently opened the weekend of our arrival. It's a block from the house, all vegan ingredients, delicious huge cookies and shakes. Many great places to eat (we ate at a number of restaurants, all were great). The house itself was very modern, nice size kitchen with a view of the patio. Beds were super comfortable. This place was stocked with all you will need for a comfortable stay e.g. toiletries, linens, pots/pans, modern appliances (but with so many great places to eat, the kitchen got very little use, although it was nice to know we could cook a nice meal if we wanted too). We parked on the street and did not move the car the entire time. Danelle provided a parking pass for our stay. There are noise detectors in the house, we were a little apprehensive, but we carried on as normal and did not feel uncomfortable. We visited many of the Alexandria's museums and historic sites. We also spent sometime at the National Harbor, Georgetown, and Mount Vernon. If you are thinking about staying here, I highly recommend.

This is an excellent place to stay, great location to waterfront and the metro station, easy to get in and out of DC.
The host was fantastic to work with, ver responsive to questions.
The house was well stocked with everything we needed. I can highly recommend this property.

This property is amazing. The owner was responsive to all inquiries and booking as well as providing thorough check in instructions. The place was very clean with modern appliances and bathrooms. Including travel-sized toiletries was above and beyond thoughtful and hospitable. The location is fantastic and walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. Parking was easy to find on the street the whole time we were there.

Top 3 of vacation rentals at which I have stayed over 4 decades of travel. Accommodations from well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and spotless living areas show host's eye for detail and interest in a welcomed stay for guests. Parking pass was available upon request and very beneficial in this city location. Great access to free city bus to get to city sites/restaurants and metro to DC. I would highly recommend to family and friends.

Great communication with host who was so helpful with recommendations.
Highly recommend this property!

Almost everything about this trip was exactly what I expect from VRBOs - clear and timely communication from the host, a comfortable property in a great neighborhood that matched the experience, and overall a smooth experience for a family trip.
You're on a residential side street a few minutes' walk away from the DC Metro in one direction and a walkable, friendly downtown area in another. You're also a few minutes away from a Whole Foods, as well as dining and local retail. I loved staying in Old Town Alexandria.
We parked on the street, which has some restrictions on weekdays (but not on the weekends and evenings), and adjusted our plans to keep our car out of the permit-only location as needed, so be aware of that. Getting to the property was easy.
The host was perfect, again we had clear and timely communications and a smooth check in process. The house was clean and tidy, well appointed, and comfortable, very much what we were looking for.
A solid VRBO experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this rental property. We spent the month of February 2023 here to escape the Northeast winter. The photos and description say it all. Beautifully outfitted, and the perfect location for exploring Alexandria, and just a 10-minute walk to the Metro and all that DC has to offer. Very comfortable beds and linens. Large well-equipped kitchen. Easy communications with the owner. Perfect.

This was the perfect place for our group of 3 senior couples. Very nicely appointed, beautiful decor and everything you could want in the kitchen, bathrooms and even phone charging cords in the bedrooms. Very, spacious, clean living space and comfortable beds too! Huge TV’s, charming fireplaces, washer and dryer all add to our overall happy experience. Great communication with the owner. Perfect location for exploring Alexandria and only 15 minutes into DC. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals all over the world and this one is at the top of our list!!

The townhouse is perfectly located in old town surrounded by many restaurants and shops. It is beautifully decorated and owner provided all the amenities you didn't even think about. We are frequent travelers and stayed many properties but this home is exceptional.

Our family had a wonderful experience here. The house is newly remodeled, CLEAN and FULLY stocked (kitchen, bathroom, laundry). The beds were so comfortable. It is in a perfect location; 10 minute walk to King St metro and close to all the shops and restaurants on King. We especially loved the gelato shop and Fromagerie on the same block. The owner was SO responsive and hospitable. The house has a security system and felt very safe. Our 3 kids loved hanging out in the basement and the owner had out legos and art supplies. It felt like home. We had the best time and plan to return to this rental. No complaints! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This property is wonderful -- completely renovated, spacious well-equipped kitchen with full-size appliances, all new bathrooms, fabulous air conditioning, and countless amenities. All bedrooms have a TV and ceiling fan. Located only 1/2 block from King Street and the free Trolley. The walk to the metro was less than 15 minutes. Host can provide PARKING PASS for on street parking which was always available out front or in the next block. Very safe neighborhood. It was great to have the multiple seating spaces: the living room (with a TV), basement for lounging (also with a TV) and the outdoor seating. Kitchen has everything you need and the outdoor grill was perfect for summer dinner prep. Host was responsive and delightful!

The property was in a great location for easy walking access to King Street & the Metro. Three to four blocks to a Whole Foods & CVS. We enjoyed walking down to the Potomac several times during our stay there were many good restaurants and coffee shops along that route. We really enjoyed Jeni's Ice Cream shop and Goodies Frozen Custard & Treats. The host was very accommodating with our inquiries.

Updated Townhome in Old Alexandria
This property is at the top of our list of favorite vacation rentals. Great location, clean and allergy-free environment, well-stocked kitchen and pantry, and nice quality furniture, linens, towels, dishes, and utensils. We had everything needed (including spices) to cook meals plus glass food storage bins for leftovers. The basement and patio are an added bonus. The owner provided a parking pass for our stay, and we had no issue finding street parking in front of the townhome. The neighborhood is very safe and the owner is amazing - very responsive. We will book again on our future visits to the area.

Fantastic house and great location
This was one of the best vacation properties we've stayed in. Alexandria is beautiful and the house has a great location making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants and the metro. It's incredibly well equipped with labels that make it easy to find everything. Danelle is a wonderful host. Highly recommend this property for families.

The house was renovated, clean, furnished with inexpensive, but nice furniture, in a great neighborhood. All that said, after having to deal with the demands of the property owner/manager, I was so irritated, it was not worth the stay/booking.
ISSUES: The owner did not tell me about having a decibel detector until a few days before my trip. To say I was taken aback and felt this was an invasion of privacy is an understatement. The detector sends you a text message if it deems you are too loud. Well, what happens if a guest gets a text? How is the owner going to "enforce" the decibel detector? Then the owner threatens a $500 fine for parties. Not a huge deal, but she wanted me to reply and confirm that I agree and understand. I think this is a little overkill. But then in addition to the decibel detector, you are expected to socialize after 10:00pm in the furnished basement, which again, I think is overkill.
I should have seen the red flags when the owner asked me to provide her information about the reason for my trip and about the people (my family) who will be staying at the property. As if any of that info, other than the number of people staying there, is any of her business!
The owner's messages with instructions on the house were too long, too detailed and there are too many quirks with the property. The master shower leaked and stopped working, one of the fireplaces didn't work. But, to the owner's credit, she was very responsive to try and fix the issues.
My biggest problem was the cost. VRBO won't let me post the exact cost, but the refundable damage deposit is outrageous. There was nothing in that house, furnished with inexpensive furniture, worth holding that much money. Again, overkill. The fees were ridiculous and ended up being an additional approx. 60% of the cost of the VRBO! The cleaning fee was the most I've ever seen and almost 3 times what I pay my own cleaner!
Overall, I found all the owner's demands to be rude and overkill. I understand not allowing parties and wanting to be respectful of neighbors, but (in my opinion) if the owner truly cared about their neighbors/neighborhood, then don't rent out a 140 year old home with thin walls as a hotel to make a quick buck. My suggestion is to appreciate the business and not nag the customer so much.

My family had a perfect experience at this VRBO. It has everything you need (tons of kitchen tools and ingredients, a hair dryer, toiletries). The sheets and furniture are good quality. Danelle communicates very well and will make sure you're taken care of.

Great base for 7- day fall family trip
Perfect location. Safe and comfortable 10 minute walk to King Street metro for sight seeing trips to DC. Later picked up rental car at Reagan for trips around Virginia with no issues parking. Close to groceries, which allowed us to start each morning with a great breakfast in a high quality kitchen and perfect sized dining areas. Some days were so nice we ate outside. At night we either walked to eat or ordered from the wonderful local food options in Alexandria. Quiet neighborhood, well equipped kitchen, basement a great add-on feature for the family. Our group was parents, two boys 12 and 11, and grandparents. Highly recommend property and the owners. Very responsive to questions, like within seconds. Don't stay in a hotel, this property made our visit perfect. Thanks so much Danelle for helping to create a once in a lifetime trip.

This 3 BR, 2 1/2 BA property in Old Town Alexandria was truly delightful. It is an historic building that has been completely renovated with modern amenities. All the furnishings and appliances seemed new. It was the most well appointed rental I have ever stayed in! The kitchen had everything we needed, and more. Even chargers for all electronics could be found in the bedroom and kitchen drawers! The second living area in the basement was an unexpected bonus. The beds were comfortable, and the linens (sheets & towels) were top notch.
The location was right around the corner from King Street which we walked every day. There are fantastic restaurants, shops, and coffee options. There is a free trolley that runs up and down King Street in case you need a lift. There is so much history in this area and the character of the buildings is so charming. Don't miss out on the Saturday morning farmer's market on the town square, or a trip down to the waterfront for great seafood and the Torpedo Factory Art Center. This rental included books in nearly every room to help acquaint us with the Alexandria and D.C. area. Old Town is a short Uber/Lyft ride from the Reagan National Airport.
We LOVED this property and would definitely rent it again given the opportunity.

Gorgeous home
This is a completely renovated 3 story 1880’s townhouse in the heart of Old Town. The location is fantastic. You are a short walk to the top of King Street, and close to the free trolley stops.
The interior of the home looks like a page out of a decorator magazine. It is immaculate and beautiful. The mattresses are SO comfortable! If you like a soft pillow, bring your own. Linens are wonderful.
Kitchen is well stocked.
If stairs are an issue for anyone in your party, just know that the bedrooms are on the top floor, and the stairs are a little narrow, circa the age of the house. The only other difficulty is the parking. There is only street parking… and you have to be lucky or extremely persistent to get one close by. But that is expected, given your location so close to King Street. We would absolutely stay here again. Danelle was so helpful and responsive. Loved it.

Perfect in every single way!
We had an absolutely delightful stay at Danelle's place! She and her husband have made this an adorable home in historic Alexandria. It is very well-appointed, in an excellent location, and very, very comfortable. Even when there was a glitch with the internet thanks to thunderstorms, Danelle's husband came within 30 minutes to get it up and running. Such incredible service. I love to cook and was looking for a home where I could cook for my daughter during Georgetown's family weekend and I found my dream kitchen! Our daughter (who was missing homecooked meals) had a huge smile on her face during every meal. Warmed our hearts and we are so grateful to our excellent hosts for providing such a perfect space. We will definitely be back again! Thank you!

We loved the house. It is very well appointed and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for a group. We especially loved the coffee options of pods and grounds and the great selection of spices and herbs. The toiletries were nice, too! We especially enjoyed hanging out on the patio over coffee in the morning and in the evenings after dinner. Mosquitoes are an issue in late September, so bring some bug spray. I will say that if you are a very large person, you might have problems going down the stairs to the basement.
