About this house rental
This is truly the perfect mountain getaway! Venture to the quaint town of Marble to discover unrivaled natural beauty in the heart of Colorado! Find our ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’ mountain cabin tucked amidst 5 acres of its own aspen groves and mature ponderosa pines, just off the only paved road, right at the town limit of Marble. Get away with this fully-remodeled open-air floor plan, both inviting and comfortable with a cozy living room stocked with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, games, and books to enjoy; two bedrooms with plush queen beds; bathroom with shower, original sink and the best mountain views; and fully stocked modern chef’s kitchen including granite counter tops, large sink, full size fridge, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Who wants to stay inside with all the amazing views? The deck is almost as large as the house, with a gas grill and plenty of seating. Take a quick walk down our rock path to the beautiful fire pit. This getaway offers all the comforts of home away from home. Park all your vehicles in the large driveway and enjoy all the day trips Marble has to offer. In the summer, hike to the nearby Yule Creek Falls, a little longer hike will get you up Raspberry Creek to look down on Marble or take a long trek thru Carbonate Creek for spectacular views. Directly from the house, you can mountain bike, ATV, or take a guided jeep tour to the historic town of Crystal and stop to take photos at the Crystal Mill on the edge of the Crystal River. Go just a bit further to visit the Devils Punchbowl or venture all the way to Crested Butte. Visit downtown Marble to eat at our only restaurant ‘Slow Groovin BBQ,’ stop for an afternoon at Beaver Lake for some fishing, paddle boarding, and boating [just remember your permit], or walk the paths at the Marble Mill Site park to go back in history to see the ruins of the old Marble Mill which includes giant blocks of white marble that were used to build the Lincoln Monument. After time at the Mill, stop by The Marble Gallery to view one-of-a-kind marble sculpture, wood carvings, ceramics, and jewelry! Did you know the Marble Gallery also carries some groceries, just in case you forgot a few items. Want more touring options? Drive about 20 minutes to the town of Redstone stopping by Hayes Creek Falls on the way. You’ll find the famous General Store, shops, restaurants, free concerts in the summer and an ice-skating rink in the winter! A little further down Hwy 133 is Avalanche Ranch Hot Springs & Antiques or take a dip at the roadside Penny Hot Springs. For more fun, drive just over an hour to the luxurious mountain town of Aspen, where you'll find shops, restaurants, seasonal events and skiing.

I have been coming once a year to Marble since I was a baby, and this was the best place I’ve stayed. The views were amazing on the patio, plenty of parking, and the description was spot on. It was very clean, plenty of dish-ware and linens, and overall very comfortable. It was my husband, our six month old daughter, and me during the trip, and I would definitely come and stay here again. Absolutely no complaints, and the hosts were easy to reach and friendly.

Very secluded and cozy cabin in the woods. The Marble area is magical and this cabin puts you right in the middle of it.

From the property description you expect to find a cute cabin in a beautiful wooded setting - and you get exactly that! There is a lovely deck looking over the woods - not over someone else's property. The deck is partially shaded with a canopy so you can sit in the sun or move to the shade if its too hot. There's a comfy hammock swing, and a fire pit (but there was a red flag warning while we were there so no fire). The property is secluded but not remote (well, Marble itself is rather remote). You can see other houses and cabins on the hillsides but they're not on top of each other. But you can still hear traffic from the nearby paved road, and there's a lot of ATV traffic in Marble.
The house has absolutely everything you need for cooking. We cooked outside on the gas grill which worked perfectly. Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable and the shower has good water pressure.
Okay, the water does smell bad.
If you like to walk you can walk to town on the dirt road. Definitely eat at the Slow Groovin BBQ if its open. Drive up to the quarry. We couldn't get to the Crystal Mill site in our 4x4 truck because of high water and the extremely rough road. Hike if you can; there are easy and hard trails. We did see bear scat (poop) on one of the trails. Look for unexpected happenings - there was a band playing at the historic site one evening.
There's a lot of low-key stuff to do in the area and staying at this cabin makes it easy, fun and relaxing.

This cabin is amazing! Love the location, great kitchen, best covered porch and outdoor fire pit one could wish for. The cabin was clean, well maintained, comfortable and stocked with everything (spices, cooking oil, sugar, coffee, utensils, plenty of silverware, plates, cups etc). Considering that the store is about 35 minutes away, we never had the need to drive to it as the cabin had everything that we forgot to bring. It’s a gorgeous place that offers beautiful views, wildlife encounters, hiking and ATVing to name a few.
The hosts were responsive. We can’t wait to come back.

Recent mudslides & announced trail closures had us freaking but we reached out to Tim who quickly looked into and responded to current conditions via his close contacts in the area. Note left on arrival gave us the option to call for a garbage pick up if needed. Check out info was clear. The property itself was perfectly located amongst the mountains and we enjoyed the daily hummingbird visits and the mule deer family :-) Wonderful, relaxing vaca! Thanks for allowing us to share your lil'paradise.

Info to consider
the Property was beautiful and the place was nice and clean the views where amazing seen some wildlife as well However there is no cell service and the water smells really bad like suffer/rotten egg and had a yellow ish color. We washed our hair with water bottles because the smell was so bad. We were not aware of this issue before booking infact we did not know about the cell phone service and water until about a 5 days before check in so if we cancel we would not of gotten any refunds for canceling. Phones service would of been nice to know before booking just because we had a 2 year old that was being watched and needed to be able to check on her. The house did have wifi but it was not a secured so no password needed to get on. I would recommend the owners inform guest in the info about the property before they book this is something I feel should be listed in the listing.

Cabin in Marble
The location of the cabin provides stunning views morning, noon, and evening. There are several thoughtful amenities in the kitchen and around the cabin. There are humming bird feeders that provide frequent visits from humming birds.

Favorite VRBO EVER!
I don't want to be dramatic - but this is truly my favorite place I've ever stayed. Marble is SO CUTE and the people are so nice! This little cabin is the perfect spot to stay close to the action, but feel completely secluded when you are on the property.
The deck is amazing and a sunshade + table and chairs allows you to hang out there all day and enjoy the surrounding trees. SO QUIET - there's a road nearby, but barely any road noise. At night - you can see just about every star in the sky.
The fire pit was an absolute blast! Plenty of chairs and some TV trays so you can brings drinks. Plus a hose to put out the fire.
The hosts have hummingbird feeders and sugar so you can fill them. ABSOLUTELY DO THIS. The hummingbirds were magical. We hung them by the porch and it was amazing watching a dozen of these little guys come and go.
Right across the street - you can get AMAZING cinnamon rolls and fresh pastries from the Bed & Breakfast who has them available. The woman who runs it also has chair massage! What a vacation. They are incredibly nice people.
There's great internet at the Cabin and tons of resources to help you plan your trip! But there is NO cell service - so make sure you prepare. There is a land line at the cabin so you can make outgoing calls.
Make sure you go into town for some Slow Groovin' BBQ - it was the best meal we ate on our trip and the people were SO FUN and nice. We all bought t-shirts so obviously have to go back.
Thanks SO MUCH to Tim & Kristie for opening their home for renters! My family and I had an absolutely rejuvenating time connecting with each other and the mountains all around us.
Do yourself a favor a book here!
PS: regarding the comments on the water - yes, there is a slight smell but you will have that anywhere in the mountains that is truly secluded so I say it was WORTH IT. Plus you get used to it after the first day AND the filtered water in the fridge is great for drinking.

Great place, review fees when booking.
I would definitely stay here again based on the quality of the place and its location. Maybe it’s a VRBO thing, but I was taken aback by $496 in fees for 3 nights. Cleaning, service, host, property, and damage fees—yowzer. I still gave 5 stars because it truly is a good place, and I don’t know if these are set by VRBO.

Great secluded cabin
We had a great time in Marble, CO. It was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is pretty much in the middle of no where. Views were amazing and lots of wildlife around. The smell of the water is horrible, but we knew that coming in and understood that there isn’t really a fix for the sulfur smell in the mountains. We just didn’t use the water. Please make sure you are prepared for this when renting the property. A flashlight would have been nice to have, we bought one at the store. We weren’t really sure what to do with the garbage, and I always thought about texting or calling for pick up when we weren’t home, so there was no connection. We just kept the garbage in entry room? It would have been nice to have a better explanation as to who to call and where to place garbage bags once called; or even easier, to have a bin or somewhere to just put the garbage yourself.
All and all, the cabin was fabulous!!!

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful canyon
We had a great time at the cabin and in Marble. What a beautiful place! The cabin was perfect for us, and we especially enjoyed the great deck and all the hummingbirds. Even with complications due to weather, we really loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Hummingbird Heaven
We stayed at the cabin for 3 days, my sister and I and our spouses. We’ve been coming to Marble for many years. The house is even more comfortable and well appointed than the photos suggest. Best of all was eating on the deck and watching the endless parade of hummingbirds.

Mountain Majesty!
This mountain cabin is located within Marble town limits, but it's on a large property and is a distance and secluded from neighbors. The cabin is comfortable, has a fully stocked kitchen, and all the necessities for a long stay. There are world-class views from every room, but the main attractions are the outside areas . . . we spent most our time relaxing on the beautiful deck or hanging in the very sturdy hammock. The only downside is the well water has an extremely strong sulfur smell. We used filtered water from the fridge for drinking and cooking, and it tasted/smelled good. But . . . the smell from the faucet was enough to keep us from showering during our visit. We're sure this is normal in a mountain cabin well and is common in Marble, but it is something to be aware of. We

Private cabin close to town
Timothy and Kristie were great and responded right away when I had a question. Cabin was very clean. What made this place perfect for us was the outdoor area. Great fire pit, hammock swing and lovely deck! Really made our stay in Marble that much better!
