Perfect get away for the weekend! We enjoyed all of adorable and historic Astoria within steps just outside our door. Bakeries to breweries, the film museum and all along the Columbia River. Truly a wonderful escape and so comfortable to enjoy such a perfectly layed out home with charm and comfort.

The house was hard to find, with directions. The picture of the house is misleading. Being an older home, some of the things like heat and functionality were challenging. We saw the refrigerator in one of the pictures for the house, assumed it had ice, since it had a dispenser. Wrong. No ice. There was one, broken up, plastic ice tray in freezer with a few, you could call them cubes, in the tray. No other tray available, and when we first handled the tray, it fell apart, rendering it useless. The seating was not comfortable at all. The outside was not well kept, as the porches were filthy. The back porch had a broom standing upright, almost begging to be used, and the hand rails on the front were gross. However the bath was exceptional!!! Just like the photo. Great water pressure and hot water! We loved being in Astoria, and we had a grand visit, for my 70th birthday. Sorry, we would not return.

Nothing about it was worth the price we paid. Paint splatters all over one chair and the recliner looked like a circa 80s pick up from Goodwill. Didn’t get instructions on how to enter the property (side street) and had to call after hours to get help. It’s old, musty and overpriced. No coffee either. We could’ve stayed on the pier, with our dog, for about the same price—and much better amenities. We do NOT recommend.

Ended up getting another property with same host by choice due to circumstances. The host was wonderful and had great communication with the process of changing locations and the flat was perfect for us. Well decorated, the bed was comfortable and rooms had a phone charger and noise machine which was appreciated.

Professional, caring and communicative host, nice house as advertised and depicted in photos, in great walkable location in downtown. Very quiet and safe neighborhood walkable to nightlife, restaurants and charming shops. Perfect for us (retired couple with medium sized dog). We've traveled extensively, have previously rented homes for various lengths of stays. In this instance we stayed 3 weeks so we really experienced the place and give this property an "A plus."

The cottage was in a great central location. Well stocked with towels, and other supplies. It was cold the week we’re staying and being an old home the heating was not efficient. The queen bed had a memory form mattress that was worn in the middle so sleeping was a struggle. It is set up for pour over coffee but the kettle was not. They really should have a coffee maker available.
