Everything as advertised. Cute little location right in the middle of Astoria so many things in walking distance. Comfy beds, amazing coffee! Thanks for the great stay

Perfect get away for the weekend! We enjoyed all of adorable and historic Astoria within steps just outside our door. Bakeries to breweries, the film museum and all along the Columbia River. Truly a wonderful escape and so comfortable to enjoy such a perfectly layed out home with charm and comfort.

The house was hard to find, with directions. The picture of the house is misleading. Being an older home, some of the things like heat and functionality were challenging. We saw the refrigerator in one of the pictures for the house, assumed it had ice, since it had a dispenser. Wrong. No ice. There was one, broken up, plastic ice tray in freezer with a few, you could call them cubes, in the tray. No other tray available, and when we first handled the tray, it fell apart, rendering it useless.
The seating was not comfortable at all. The outside was not well kept, as the porches were filthy. The back porch had a broom standing upright, almost begging to be used, and the hand rails on the front were gross.
However the bath was exceptional!!! Just like the photo. Great water pressure and hot water!
We loved being in Astoria, and we had a grand visit, for my 70th birthday.
Sorry, we would not return.

Nothing about it was worth the price we paid. Paint splatters all over one chair and the recliner looked like a circa 80s pick up from Goodwill.
Didn’t get instructions on how to enter the property (side street) and had to call after hours to get help. It’s old, musty and overpriced. No coffee either.
We could’ve stayed on the pier, with our dog, for about the same price—and much better amenities.
We do NOT recommend.

Ended up getting another property with same host by choice due to circumstances. The host was wonderful and had great communication with the process of changing locations and the flat was perfect for us. Well decorated, the bed was comfortable and rooms had a phone charger and noise machine which was appreciated.

Professional, caring and communicative host, nice house as advertised and depicted in photos, in great walkable location in downtown. Very quiet and safe neighborhood walkable to nightlife, restaurants and charming shops. Perfect for us (retired couple with medium sized dog). We've traveled extensively, have previously rented homes for various lengths of stays. In this instance we stayed 3 weeks so we really experienced the place and give this property an "A plus."

Everything was seamless & easy. Great location for walking & exploring Astoria.

The cottage was in a great central location. Well stocked with towels, and other supplies. It was cold the week we’re staying and being an old home the heating was not efficient. The queen bed had a memory form mattress that was worn in the middle so sleeping was a struggle. It is set up for pour over coffee but the kettle was not. They really should have a coffee maker available.

Great location, walking distance to the restaurants. Quiet.

The property’s location is a major plus for this clean cute cottage. My husband, myself and our adult daughter enjoyed exploring downtown and the surrounding areas. We were able to walk around the historic area and had a fantastic meal at Breakside Brewing (their Butternut squash soup and salads were amazing ) not your usual pub food.
The cottage had everything we needed and was in a quiet off street location with parking. The beds were very comfortable and the owner was very responsive. Thank you for hosting us.

Great location for walking to most things in Astoria. Anything we couldn’t walk to, the trolley could take us! Great spot, would absolutely stay there again. Can’t beat the views of the river and had multiple visits from deer in the yard!

Cottage was clean and comfortable. Location great for its nearness to restaurants, brewery, historic homes, etc. It's just a 2-block walk to good food. Cottage set in the midst of other buildings, so there is really no view and no yard to speak of. Would give a 3.5 rating, if that were an option, but gave it a 3 based on a few less than optimum items (e.g. leaking showerhead, shortage of cooking equipment, broken window blinds that didn't provide complete privacy). Despite those issues, we would definitely stay here again.

The rental is in a good location for waking around Astoria.

Overall we were pleased with the property, location, quite surroundings. The television setup was a little difficult to understand, perhaps some written guidelines. Our only concern was with the main bedroom door, when my daughter closed it she could not reopen it from inside the bedroom, knob needs replacing.

Small but very nice old cottage right in the middle of shopping, dining, and beautiful river views.

We had a hiccup with the door code and a service tech had to visit for the Wi-Fi, but Jake, the next door host, was quick to assist and everything else went well. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and bars, and close enough to the riverfront to enjoy the scenery. And a fun group of cats came to visit us in the yard!

Location is awesome! Easy walk to coffee, museums & shops. The bathroom claw foot tub & shower are not for those with mobility issues. . But, it worked fine for us. We appreciated the quick responses from Cindy, owner. We loved our stay!!

We enjoyed our stay very much and it was fun to be so close to Downtown Astoria. The only thing that might have been nice was a slightly better stocked kitchen such as more serving bowls, measuring cups, Zip Lock bags, etc. Limited some of what we could make in the cottage.

The location can't be beat! The house is tiny, tucked into a little nook within walking distance of downtown. It's dated, but you can already tell that from the pics. Did the trick for a quick weekend getaway.

This property was perfect for me and my family. Very clean with lots of character. The only downside was the lack of a view. I would stay again if given the opportunity.

The cottage was a perfect size for 4. We enjoyed it a lot. We didn't spend a ton of time at the cottage but the beds (even the roll away cot) were very comfortable. It was clean, light & bright, and the location is really great. Hoping to be back soon :)

The location would be hard to beat, lots of restaurant with in walking dissidents. Nice place and clean, an older home but that just added to the charm. We would stay here again and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

The property was perfect. We had our own "private" yard for our dog Lilly to play fetch in. Loved that the cottage was off the street and quiet. We had plenty of fun in a few short days. Would have stayed longer if we could.

Family together
House was comfortable, and well located to coffee houses, restaurants, and walking. The kitchen was missing details… that made a difference for us. Coffee pot , a wine glass. And strainer for pasta.
These details did make a difference when our plans were to have multiple meals in for our 3 nights stay!

Great experience
Family girls get away. Super great location and the house was nice and clean. Would definitely recommend!! The only thing we would have preferred was a normal coffee por instead of the one cup drip process.

Comfy Cottage
This little house was very clean and comfortable. Great foam mattresses on queen and bunk beds. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked every meal. It was handy to have the washer and dryer. There is no view, as it is surrounded by historic buildings, but very close to downtown shops, eateries and galleries, the River Walk and the Maritime Museum. The shower inside the huge claw foot tub is not for anyone with balance issues.

Terrific cute cottage in an unbeatable location
Very pleasant stay in this updated cozy cottage located in the heart of Astoria, just steps from a brewery (with a fire pit no less) and a popular bakery. It is a couple blocks from the Astoria pier and maritime museum. We had a small dinner with friends to celebrate birthdays etc and two of them vowed to rent THIS place next time they visited the area (as opposed to the places they rented this trip). It is just simply “a cut above average.” Thank you for a lovely stay!
