We loved it so much. Such a unique place!
8.0
The animals, the restfulness and the friendly staff. The restaurant and the museum.
We loved the boat ride, but it started to rain and it was spoiled.
The road. We are two elderly people and it would be good if we could go to thebeach, but the gate was closed and it was a bit too far to walk all the way.
6.0
The tranquility. The swimming pools. The meal at the restaurant. The drive and views at Koppie Aleen. The animals roaming in the grounds.
The roads to the resort were terrible. Not fit for ordinary sedan car. No complimentary wood in cottage. No beer glasses in cottage. Single beds were in tiny second bedroom too small for suitcases. Could not open door fully. No fans in cottage . Reception staff fairly abrupt and disinterested. Hike on red route was not marked got lost easily. Cape Nature needs to look at what private farms can supply at a lower price.

This property is unreal, youâre in nature with animals all over and so close to the whale trail. The facilities are great with everything you need, and the restaurant is close by too with Greta food and drink options.
The road heading towards the property is long (40 mins but took us an hour) with lots of small rocks and potholes - bigger car recommended!

StÀndig Stromausfall. Es hat in das Cottage rein geregnet

The place is amazing! Animals wonder freely all around the buildings and if you head to the beach you will see the most beautiful show ever: groups of whales pass by in front of you!
We were accomodated in a cottage and since it was a bit cold (July) , the manager on duty was so kind to exchange it with another one with fireplace inside, hĂš also gave us some wood for free and helped us with packing and moving things around, he was an angel! We also had a delicious dinner at the restaurant, this is a place to visit!

The reserve is a little paradise with the animals all over and the wonderful views. De Hoop is very well manages with extremely friendly staff. The restaurant is very good and an unbelievably cosy place. We rented bikes and saw many whales from the shore.

Staff were great! it was very pretty and clean. well maintained.
Electricity was off from arrival to after 11. I would have though that for the price thee would have been generators. There was also no Wifi in the room. The beds were very hard

beds were good

The heating could have been better by having a indoor fireplace, the electrical heater with load shedding was ineffective,as well as the electrical blanket. I did not expect such cold weather.
9.0
The cottages were well-equipped and the beds are comfortable.
More lights are needed for load shedding. The commercialization of the De Hoop and the restaurant on the beach - it was a wild untouched beautiful place in the 90's.

In the middle of the Da hoop park, surrounded by animals , comfortable bed , cute thatched roof cottage

Perfect little houses, different animals on the area sorrounding the cottages, good dinner and breakfast, about 15 minutes drive to the dunes, be aware of the mosquitos!

Location in beautiful nature, possibility to eat outside, grill.
it smelled a bit musty.

We had a great time here! We wish we couldâve stayed longer to enjoy more of the reserve. The houses are great and clean. The food was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly.
7.0
The guides, the tranquility the wildlife.
Once again absolutely nothing, except ice , in the freezer to eat for the self catering. Surely you can provide the basics?
The cottages need to be re equipped with a gas hob and modernised.

The walk along the sea was stunning
Food at the restaurant was average

Looking out of the window to see Baboons and Bontebock and Eland is really something. The guides were all excellent and friendly. The pool has an amazing view and swallows come and drink from it which is lovely to see. The room was cleaned every day and the kitchen was well appointed
The lighting in the main room isnât very good - we took the shades off in the end to get a bit more light

Outdated overpriced Cottages that need a good makeover. The location is great but a serious upgrade is needed. The staff was friendly.
