Rustic country with a large fully fenced-in yard. Loved watching my dogs run free and play with the horses. Quiet space with lots of space and a full kitchen. I would love to stay there again.

Taylor, thank you so much for sharing your home and your lifestyle with us! We are return tenants and will be coming back as long as Taylor will be letting us in :D Love everything about this stay. Close to everything but away from the world. Peace and serenity. Kids just LOVE the pool. Can't get them beyond the property line when we're staying there as there is nothing more interesting than the pool, the horses, the puppies, the frogs, and this enchanted house in the enchanted forest. Love the wild flowers field. But if you really want to get out, we would highly recommend visiting Sacramento's California State Railroad Museum and California Automobile Museum. Will be back! Thank you, Taylor!!!

If you want to experience the magic of the country with the convenience of town nearby, this is the place. The mini horses greet you when you arrive -- their wildflower meadow is fenced in and they are dog friendly. The apartment has everything you need, and the pool and hot tub are sublime. Lots of farm stands nearby for fresh fruit and produce. We will be back!

I was worried that it'd be cold (January, rainy week), but the place was nice and warm and really comfortable. We enjoyed the outside bath, petted the miniature horses, played games. We visited the Maidu museum just a few miles away, the Railroad museum in Sacramento and borrowed sleds from the owner one day to go sledding at just around 30-40 min drive up the 80 in Nyack.
We brought our dog and found nice places to walk her. The streets were very quiet, so no problem to walk along the streets. One time I drove to Folsom lake for a longer hike with the dog.
We had a great experience and would book this place again!

Lovely and quiet semi-rural setting outside Sacramento, on a property with horses (regular and miniature) and turkeys, and adjacent to other similar properties. 15-minute drive to nearby Rocklin. Stores and other amenities available in shorter drives, on rural roads (dark at night, minimal shoulders, road signs hard to see). Three-bedroom unit, downstairs of larger ranch house; one bathroom. Comfortable, clean, well-stocked with household basics, and very nice outdoor set-up on the patio. Host Taylor was very responsive, before and during our stay. Some minor quirks--slow WiFi, strong lemony-scented cleaning residue, windowless back bedroom--but all in all a fine place to stay for our group for a family Thanksgiving weekend.

We had a most delightful 4 nights staying a few miles away from the larger traffic areas of Granite Bay and Folsom. Both were less than 15 to 20 minutes away but we were in the country and LOVED it. Being greeted each morning by two miniature horses looking into the living area was a treat. Three full bedrooms and one large bathroom was perfect for us.
Trying to be fair, I would like to give a couple of pointers on how to improve the experience but for the life of me, I can think of none.
The owner is a delightful woman who is an artist. Watching her spin her potter's wheel while creating true art made the walk from her garage/work area to downstairs sad. I could have watched her twice as long but I hated interfering with her work.
I believe there are 3 to 5 total acres on the property which gave plenty of time for walking and exploring. Not hearing city buses, fire engines and other traffic just added so much more peace, quiet and Joy to our visit.
We have a granddaughter who lives less than 3 miles away and we plan to return to this lovely home on every future visit to Granite Bay.

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend of the Aftershock festival. It was a magical and quiet retreat from a fun weekend of Hard Rock!

We needed a “home” to stay for a month +/- while we searched for a house to buy. This property was a lovely shabby farm house oasis. Our mornings started by petting the ponies at our door, afternoons were spent in the pool, evenings listening to nature’s chirping while star gazing. Our dog had more funny running around and playing with Turkeys, ponies, & horses. The only downside is he is bored now that we have our home.
The property owner lives upstairs and gave us as much privacy, attention, friendship as we asked. She was always ready to provide directions, share her oasis, suggest restaurants/fun nearby.
The add I think captures & explains what you need to know. Yes there is only one bathroom. Yes the kitchen is shabby-sheek. We as a family of five lived there for a month with no issue.
The first night when I pulled up to twinkling fairly lights in the trees I knew I found an oasis to find solace during the trials and tribulations of home buying and moving

What is better during a stressful fire evacuation experience than someone saying, “come now, and bring all your animals.” Taylor was more than accommodating during a stressful situation. The space is perfect for a group or family offering privacy with 3 separate bedrooms and a huge bathroom that is easily shared. Everything we needed to prepare meals was offered in the well stocked kitchen and the added ease of the Keurig coffee maker stocked with pods was so nice. We were very comfortable and the gardens and pool were so nice for relaxing.

Serenity!
This is one of a kind experience and a place to stay, connect with the nature and to truly unwind, rest the body and soul, and to feel sane again 😊
Let me start with mentioning that our family came with a plan to explore the area, parks, lakes, rivers, and museums. But we ended up with leaving the house only twice over the week of stay! We couldn’t pull the kids out, and adults were happy to stay at home, too!
Don’t even know where to begin. This home has a unique character, like it’s owner 😊 You will see and feel artistic touch everywhere. We so enjoyed unique collection of furniture, beautiful rugs, paintings on the walls, the wood stove in the kitchen, the pottery, the view of the wild flowers field from the big glass patio door. Wonderful patio furniture that we enjoyed so much!! Comfortable beds, tons of towels, pretty dishes. Fantastic private pool! Kids absolutely loved it. Designer’s soak tub was such a treat, especially when the sun sets and mason jar lights turn on! 😊
Beautiful horses that we loved watching, and two adorable minis roaming free, coming to say hi to the patio, giving kisses, curious and friendly – we miss them so much!
Pictures, even though very accurate, do not do justice of how wonderful the place is.
Taylor creates art, peace and kindness, and you will crave to experience it again. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you, Taylor!!

Perfect place to just get away.
This place is exactly what it is listed as. It is a beautiful farm home close to everything you need yet you feel like you are in the middle of the country. Plenty of room to roam, the pool area is very nice. its a little older however still very nice place to relax. I enjoyed having my coffee in the pool area every morning. The outdoor granite bathtub was absolutely fantastic. Taylor was amazing she was very helpful and accommodating. So if you are looking for a model home surrounded by concrete this is not the place for you. If you want to getaway and relax yet be within minutes of everything you need I highly recommend this wonderful gem. We can't wait to return

This is a GREAT place and a GREAT host
My son's family were in the path of the Fawn fire in Shasta county. Very last minute reservation WITH kids AND a dog and cat.. Host is just a really kind and caring person. GREAT to work with to get them out and settled same day. AND a really cool property., lots to see and do. Grandson (and dog) loved the ponies and poultry. Nice country feel. Also, pool on hte property, and as a Phoenix resident, I think it is SAFE for kids if you FOLLOW THE RULES!!!! CANT say enough a bout how this property is an awesome getaway. .DONT think twice, if you want to be in the SAC area but not "in town" this is a GREAT place to kick back and enjoy. life.

Fabulous host.
We booked very last minute because of evacuation from Caldor fire. Taylor was so wonderful! We had dogs and smelled of smoke. She made us feel right at home. Theoutside soaking tub was wonderful! We so enjoyed using it each night with fresh water, bath salts and essential oil. It was described as Shabby Chic and it really was. Very clean inside. Loved visiting the horses each day. It was a nice and peaceful stay!

Perfect quick getaway
Had such a wonderful time swimming, hot tubbing and spending some time with our family. Taylor was super accommodating and communication was alwaysJenna, quick and responsive. I love how it felt like we were in the country with her horses and wild flowers, but still close enough to town to order delivery.
The pool, hot tub, and outdoor furniture could've used a cleaning and small details like the bathroom soap dispenser was empty but nothing outrageous. The bedding and rooms were all super clean and comfy & the kitchen was everything was well stocked - towels, blankets, dishes, cooking stuff.
All in all, a wonderful place to escape the city for a quick weekend trip outside of Sacramento. Horses were super friendly, we had fun on the swings, playing jenga, and there's a tether ball & horse shoes to play with.

This place is large enough for my family of six, and my family really enjoyed swimming in the pool.

Restful retreat and soaking up sun
Our group needed a quiet, relaxing getaway for a three-day weekend and we got exactly that. The property being dog friendly was a huge plus, and our pup got to roam and laze about as she pleased. The hostess was great, she suggested local places to eat and check out, and showed us how to use the hot tub with salt and essential oils. The full kitchen and patio grill were great for enjoying our own food or reheating what we picked up in town. We enjoyed the pool and lounge chairs the most, just chilling in the sun. Make sure you read the full description, some things you just have to expect in a rustic/country setting, come prepared and you'll have a great time.

Lovely, Romantic farm getaway
The place is wonderful and Taylor is an excellent hostess. She even gave us salts and oils for the jacuzzi. Lovely view from the patio of flowers, horses and goats. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in the area.
