House was clean and appropriate. Some areas were lacking such as cleanliness of backyard with overgrown cut grass and a/c circulation to upstairs rooms. We slept on ground floor because it felt atleast 10 degrees difference in temp. None of them deal breakers but something that could be remedied or specified in description.

Outside the door issue I enjoyed the house. Wish that you had a barbecue grill.

House was fairly priced. It is situated in a neighborhood, but backyard is fenced for privacy. The home has character and was very clean. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking.

Was close to everything, just a 15-20 minute sonic drive to all the hiking trails.

The property was very easy to access and very clean. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the back door was standing wide open. The house is in a very rough location with sketchy looking homes on either side and directly across the street. Upon entering, we had to ensure that no one had broken into the home. The lock on the back door DOES NOT WORK. When reaching out to the owner to ask for someone to come repair, it was essentially disregarded as “the weather made the door swell.” We were told to go in and out the front door. All good, except there is a door to the home that DOES NOT LOCK in a neighborhood that feels less than safe. In addition to the fact that the homes next door look suspect, there is a German Shepherd caged in the backyard next door that barks incessantly. If you’re coming for a relaxing weekend, this dog will ensure you don’t achieve it! Finally, this property should not list a hot tub. You cannot easily access it (walk through the grass with no way to get into it as others mentioned) and it’s practically sitting under the windows of the neighbors’ house with the caged German Shepherd directly on the other side of the fence. No thank you! That was a huge bummer. Overall, it was fine, but I would not stay here again and would recommend others book with caution.

The place was nice and was homey. The hot tub didn’t work but probably due to the weather being cold. There was a lot of ladybugs which was random but they weren’t too bothersome. Other than that it was a good time.

We loved our stay in this beautiful old house! The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking! All of the bedrooms and also the bathroom are upstairs. My mom did have a little trouble with that, but we would still stay here again.

The house had some nice features like beautiful woodwork, smart TVs and was adequate for our needs. The hot tub advertised was disappointing. The water smelled like mold and there was sand and dirt in the bottom of it so we didn't use it at all. The beds were not comfortable and the upstairs was difficult to cool at night.

The owner was super nice. Let me know there was an issue with the shower before we arrived so we could try finding other arrangements. Which we couldn’t. So we rinsed off in the sink and used the water hose. It was only 2 days so not a huge issue. Just a little inconvenient.
However, maintenance showed up at 7:30 am to fix it. Without fixing it. That was a bit early. Considering we made a late night the night prior. Other than that everything was fine.

The hotel we booked for our special guests for our convention fell through last minute. Found this wonderful house. They were able to get us in on such notice and easily accommodate everything we needed. Highly recommend.

We would have chosen to contact the owner directly, but VRBO doesn't allow that after your stay. When arriving the door was hanging open 2". Some people might immediately be turned away for fear there was a break in. Based on our impression of the neighborhood it would support that fear, the neighborhood and surrounding homes are sketchy. We were told the back door is "tricky", obviously by the fact it was open. There is a 1/4" gap over the door when closed to the outdoors. If anyone wanted to break into the house a moderate push would open the back door immediately. The back door needs work, as does the railing on the right side of the porch which is severely rotted. There is a large paint peel 2x6" hanging in the dining room. The sheets and pillows have seen their best days a long time ago and need updating due to pilling on the sheets. There were only 5 hangers in all of the closets for hanging of clothes which was not sufficient for a group of people. The yard currently has about 8" tall grass. It's hard to get to the hot tub through 8" grass and expect your feet to be clean going in, and we had to pick out grass from the tub due to carrying it in from the yard. Using the hot tub was a turn off due to the condition of the yard that you had to walk through. The plus side, the home is clean and kitchen appliances new, dining room spacious and beds are comfortable, with the exception of the linens. Internet worked well and location is great to downtown Logan and Hocking Hills. We had 2 communications with the owner, one with a delayed response and one with no response about the door being open upon arrival.

Decent location to Hocking Hills. Bedrooms roomy and comfortable. Parking is not close to the house and you’ll have to navigate stairs to get to the house and stairs to get up to the back porch. Otherwise it had decent amenities.

Our stay was great, and the process was so easy. Jen and Phil answered all my questions in a timely manner. The house was amazing and very "home" feeling. The beds were definitely comfortable and it was well worth the money. We will book again, when we come that way.

Pros:Excellent Wi-Fi. Very clean. Easy in and out. Owners very responsive. Close to hiking and restaurants. Super cute decor. It had everything we needed. All the dishes were very nice and clean. Bedding, towels, bathroom all very clean.
Cons: Loud location. Loud house. It’s old (but restored beautifully) so the walls are thin. We could hear the neighbor yelling at his dog through the night. The busy road has motorcycles and semis driving past which normally wouldn’t bother me but again…I could hear everything. The beds are very comfortable and are the cutest metal frames. But that means metal springs that screech every time someone rolls over. The floors and doors moan (I promise loudly.) And the bathroom door you have to slam shut for it to close. So sneaking to the bathroom in the morning wakes up the whole house.
However! If you’re a heavy sleeper, none of this will bother you and you’ll absolutely adore everything about this home.
I would probably stay here again.

The place was not as advertised .It was bad location, dirty hair in the bed sheets not changed. IT WAS SO DIRTY WE CHALKED UP 500 dollars as lost went to holiday Inn in town. The drive way was muddy mess, hand rail to back door rotted away. Made contact with owner only to be ghosted after asking for some type of refund.Save money don't stay.

We loved the original craftman's work, the windows, the doors, the cabinet wall in the dining area.!! Beds were soooo comfortable!! Inside stairs were so sturdy! just a cute quaint house. Parking area is a bit dark, could use a motion light. Kitchen was very well stocked to cook 3 side dishes for Thanksgiving dinner. Would like to see some more privacy from the neighbors in the hot tub area. Supplies for 3 adults for 7 days was a bit short.

This property was a perfect place for a long weekend getaway! Spacious bedrooms, comfortable living room, and the hot tub is a perfect place to relax while doing some late night stargazing.

It was hard to get in the house because the door swells and it was hard to lock because the plate covering the deadbolt was not screwed in tight it was loose and hanging down but I did tighten it to the best of my ability with a butter knife, there were birds nest all on the back porch 3 to be exact. The cobwebs and spiders were all over the pourch, the hot tub was absolutely awful it was filthy and looked like someone had got sick in it and the smell of the hot tub was atrocious! No air conditioning upstairs which sucked, and u couldn’t open the windows to let a breeze in because there was no screens, and the windows and window pains were filthy with dead bugs and grimy, and I noticed that some of the windows were cracked which isn’t safe either! I understand it’s a old house but I feel for what I paid we would have been better off staying at a hotel honestly,!

To find where the parking is in the dark the first time is not easy to say the least. The location of the property is great. The place has been updated and had plenty of room. The heat up stairs was difficult as the air just did not seem to get up there so it was very hot. The owners were friendly in the exchanges we had.

Nice place to stay in downtown Logan. Walkable to shops if you’re up for a 10 minute walk. Visited with my infant, husband and parents. Remodeled and fresh. I wish there would have been more / larger surfaces to place things on, but that’s because babies need lots of things!
4.0 / 5.0
The house and property seem well maintained and match online pictures and description. The house is old but updated. Floors creak so might not be ideal if babies are sleeping and large group. Having only one bathroom was a bit challenging with a large group but everything was clean. Upstairs was very warm as we visited in the heat of summer but the downstairs stayed very cool. Had trouble getting in the door at first as it sticks but owner answered the phone and helped us figure it out. Tub wasn't draining properly but we were able to plunge it and get it working. Neighborhood a little rough but the property has a nice fenced in back yard where the children could play safely. Seemed like one of the better options if needing to stay in Logan OH. Not a lot of options in the area. Overall satisfied with our stay.

The people are very friendly and helpful. I was new in the area and had a blast, Hiking, kayaking!!
The property was nice. We were able to enjoy the hot tub at night with a nice little fire to enjoy s’mores. We will be returning in the future!! The only downside I had was no washer and dryer outside of that we all had a blast!!

Perfect for Our Family
I was initially worried about the location based on some of the previous reviews on the property, but it turned out to be just fine! The houses on either side were being worked on/renovated so there was very little disturbance there, even the contractors seemed very respectful of work times! The house fit everybody (5 kids and 2 adults) and we were able to have a family dinner both nights at the dining room table instead of eating out (huge bonus for us!). We even managed just fine with the single bathroom! The owner/property manager was super responsive to questions and very willing to let my kids be kids (ie. sidewalk chalk!). Overall, great experience and we would definitely come back again!

This house was extremely clean and was just ok. Coffee supplies had ran out. Very shady/not convenient parking. Only 2 outdoor chairs were provided so we couldn’t even all sit on the porch. Hot tub was dirty. Not a very nice part of town. Listened to neighbors bang on cars and remodel their homes. Neighbors were very very close. Not in a convenient part of town or within walking distance to anything. Beds and pillows were not very comfy. Old/noisy house and floors. Way too expensive for what you get. I messaged the owners 3x the day before and morning of check in, once through VRBO twice through text with the cell phone provided. Didn’t get a response until 8 pm the day of check in when we checked in at 4 pm. They said they had my wrong phone number but I had been trying to reach them and my texts were “delivered” and never got a response through VRBO. But he acted like he got my message. Glad we didn’t bring our boat even though the listing says 6 car driveway. I would say 2-3 cars max. I would not stay here again.

Had a great time!
The house was wonderful, an older house, but it had plenty of character and was remodeled very nicely! The driveway was in the back and a little sketchy, especially since we arrived very late. But aside from that, everything was great! I would recommend this place to others for sure.
