The lady who greeted us was very kind and welcoming and helped us book a taxi for the next morning and find a tienda for water.
We arrived at 7pm, by 10pm the electricity had gone out and didn't come back on until after we had left the next day - so there was no air con and no water to shower or flush the toilet and no way of charging our phones before our journey the next day - it was impossible to sleep in the room in this heat, and there were ants everywhere.

Being on the beach and being able to hear the waves at night, was a true blessing!!! The staff both Lilly and Gustavo were so nice, happy, positive and FUN people !!!
I hate seeing garbage on the beach/beaches!!! We can and should do better!!!!! Get CoCa Cola and the local beach community involved!!!! It will make Cotes more desirable as a destination for guests locally and other!!! Can I send you photos later?? If so, how??

The hosts were really nice and helped us a lot, its right in front of the beach, we could hear the waves in our room, very beautiful. AC worked well and the room had everything necessary.

Very nice little hostel and met some wonderful people and enjoyed the beautiful scenery
There was a good many mosquitoes outside. A bug zapper should be installed

The hostel has a good location near the sea. We have a room with bathroom and rather pleasant stuff.
The room is uncomfortable. The door lock didn,t work at all. The hot eater is absent at all. The room is too small and the 2-floor bed is uncomfortable. The beach is durty and the town isn,t seem safety. The cafe on the beach didn,t work. There were only one spoon and any knifes on the kitchen. The power socket were on the wrong place (not near the bed) and there was no side light.

Next to a quit beach
Basic but fine kitchen, everything you need
Comfy bed, cool room (bc airco)
The hostel lady even washed our clothes, so sweet!
We were happily surprised by the place and had a relaxing stay!
It’s a 40 min walk to the closest supermarket, but there is a cheap bus (L13) passing right in front of the hostel

The guesthouse is on the beach, which I loved. I stayed here more than once. There is a restaurant directly across the road with good food and strong drinks. There is a lovely family that lives out back who assist the owner with running the hotel. The hotel didn't have a fridge, as indicated, but Lily was kind enough to allow me to store things in her fridge and they brought me a cooler with ice to keep a few cold drinks on hand. It's a great place with potential but it does need some repairs and improvement. The wifi worked great, even from the outdoor veranda.
Some general maintenance would improve the guesthouse.
A bicycle would be amazing.
A fridge would be good.
