The home was clean, had a gorgeous view and was so convenient to Banner Elk and the top of Beech Mountain. We visited many sites but I could have stayed on the deck all day long.
4.7
This home was lovely. One of my favorite things was driving right up to the front, no steps to navigate while taking everything inside. The home is beautiful and comfortable and the view from the deck is gorgeous; we even had a rainbow over the mountains during our stay. We saw deer every day in the neighborhood. Loved shopping at Fred's Mercantile and there are several good restaurants nearby. Our stay was wonderful and I highly recommend this home.

Loved our stay at this home. Breathtaking views from the back porch, convenient to all things you’d want to do in/around Boone area. Professional management. Will definitely come again.

We really enjoyed Mountain Perch. The view is fantastic with Grandfather Mountain almost in the center of 180 degree mountain expanse. The home itself is well maintained & comfortable. We would have liked to have had a cheat sheet on how the inside gas fireplace worked. On our second day we found an owner’s manual for the fireplace. We may be the only people in the US without cable TV so it took us a while to figure that out also.
Vacasa staff were quick to help us enter the house via key access when the code & recoding the lock failed. They also came promptly with propane gas for the fire pit table & grill.

The view is awesome in a clear day. House was nice, furniture comfortable. The seating and fireplace in living room was so warm and cozy. Large dining table. The kitchen description in the listing is overrated- If you are a cook, bring your own frypan and bakeware. Also advise bringing a couple of extra blankets for the bed. Driving to The house the road has a number of tight turns, the lane is narrow, but all is doable if you take your time.
Eleven in the rain clouds obscuring the view a couple of days, we enjoyed this mountain home.

Amazing views. Great location to Beech Mountain. Well appointed house.

The cabin was very nice and had everything necessary for a week long stay. The amenities were great and the location to Beech Mt Ski Resort was very close, Sugar Mt Ski Resort was a short drive also. The minor issues with lighting were quickly resolved. The only complaint I have is the bar stools are quite short, the dining room table chairs need to have the legs tightened and there is only 1 television and it’s quite dated.
4.7
I loved the view, the outdoor fireplace and just how spacious the living room was
Definitely going to book again next year!
(Disclaimer: the showers downstairs turn on by pulling down on the faucet head)

The view was amazing The leaves were in full color. Vacasa's help was very helpful with any questions we had.

Had a wedding at the overlook barn. This place was right down the road. Perfect location of a quick weekend trip. Few little minor things on our trip but that’s typical. Customer service was great as well. Would totally recommend this place.
4.7
Weekend stay for a girls weekend. We enjoyed the home and locations. Gated community and a garage were perfect and a safe feeling. Plenty of room for all of us.
The only thing missing was a few more towels, pot holders and tvs in the bedrooms. Only one room with tv.
Had difficulty getting into the home with the codes but once we contacted them, they assisted in a timely manner

The only positive thing about this property was a good location and nice long range view, the rest of the things are just terribly wrong. When booked this house in description said that there a fireplace, to be honest we mostly booked this house so that we can spend time in front of the fireplace. We checked in and found out that fireplace was broken and needed repairs. There was a note sticked to fireplace, dated 10/30/22 that it was broken and needed repairs and our check in date was 11/19/22. It was broken for a month and no one even bother to make sure it’s repaired. Grill outside had no propane, when someone brought propane 1 day later we found out that the grill itself is broken as well, had to wait again for them to replace the grill. Almost every room in this house including bathroom have light bulbs that needs to be replaced. For example shower in master bathroom has not light in it. One of the bathrooms downstairs: curtain has mold all over. TV in living room is from 90’, not a smart tv, very little diagonal maybe 32, come on this 2020, you can get a nice TV for 300$. Response time from management company is over to long. Has requested partial refund from the them, still waiting for them to reply. My suggestion, dont rent this house, at least until of the issues described above are fixed.

We loved the house, it fit our need perfectly.
It was very clean and ready for us early.
4.7
Pros- The house was in a great location towards the top of the mountain with easy access to all mountaintop restaurants and general store. It has spectacular views and was very clean inside. Very close to overlook barn for family wedding !
Cons- The lockbox was on the backside of a beam and very hard to find. The people I called did not know where it was located.
The outside entryway and the back deck furniture were not cleaned. Have the cleaning people clean that as part of their process.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at viewpoint. Great for our family of 5. Very clean and centrally located!

This property was perfect for a grown up sibling get together and hiking trip. It is centrally located for hiking in the Grandfather Mountain, Roan Mountain and Blowing Rock areas.
The house afforded stunning views from all bedrooms and living areas, in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It was very clean and had every pan, tool , and gadget you could possibly need for cooking family meals. We had brought fans along ,since it did not appear to have air conditioning on the listing , but we were pleasantly surprised to discover it did have central air.
The beds were comfortable , and there were bathrooms for each of us! The garage for the cars and the washer and dryer were nice ammenities. It was great to be able to kick off our hiking shoes in the garage, outside the entrance to the foyer to keep the floors clean.
The fast internet and desks in the office room were wonderful for uploading the day's scenic hiking photos to share with the family members who couldn't join us.
As mentioned in some other reviews, our check in had to be delayed a couple hours , since the cleaning was not completed when we arrived at 4. We were understanding when we were told it was due to difficulty in staffing , like other service related businesses. So we took a walk around the neighborhood and scouted out a pizza place.
If you are looking for a fabulous place to rest and restore your tired hiking legs, or just a spot to relax and reflect, we strongly recommend this slice of mountain paradise.

We rented the house so everyone could stay together. Beautiful house with breathtaking views.

We got a call 38 min before scheduled check in of 4 p.m. (after driving 10 hours with 2 kids) that our booking might not be finished being cleaned. We arrived to property at 4:30 and it was a mess. Called Vacasa and was meet with attitude and rudeness. Telling me I was told it wouldn’t be ready until 6pm (never happened). The house was finally “cleaned” at 630 pm. The garage was left full of about 10 bags of trash that smelled so bad that you couldn’t even open the garage door to house. Never had anyone follow up with me after leaving messages and texts through the website. We paid a lot of money for this property and were treated like we did something wrong. Disappointed is an understatement.

The home is comfortable, beautiful, and has amazing views and we would rent it again. It was very clean and well-stocked. It does need some routine maintenance. We wanted to communicate with Vacasa, the management company, but were unable to reach them and they did not return calls. The instructions for trash disposal were unclear. I called for help and no one called back. I called again after we returned home because I did not want to give a bad review and I have still not received a callback. The home is great; the management company not so much.

The owners clearly invested a lot when this house was built and furnished. But it suffers from a lack of maintenance and care:
1. The guest bath on main/2nd floor needs repair. The toilet wax ring is obviously bad, as water streams out of the base of the toilet with every flush
2. The downstairs bedrooms shower over tub will not work as showers (nothing happens when you pull the lever to switch to shower)
3. The upstairs/master bedroom sheets were grossly dirty with lots of hair and other evidence that they had not been washed and changed.
4. The master bath toilet paper holder fell off at first use.
5. There was no towel for guest bath, we used one from kitchen until the toilet leak was discovered.
6. 2nd pillows had no pillowcases in the master bedroom, so could not be used.
7. A used K-cup cartridge was still in the Keurig coffee maker, as was water in the reservoir (great way to create mold)
8. A towel bar was missing/off the wall in a downstairs bath
9. There was only one hand towel for 2 downstairs bathrooms
10. One other frustration: the text message from Vacasa with the lockbox code did NOT include the gate code for the property (it’s in a gated community). I did find in in the Vacasa app, but you need to know that the text message by itself was useless without the gate code.

We so thoroughly enjoyed our time up on Beech Mountain in this beautiful cabin. The views are unparalleled and the access to the property is very easy. Such a short distance to the village of Banner Elk on one direction and a great fun ski area on Beech Mountain in the other direction. Quick access to the Emerald Trails was also a huge plus!

Awesome!
We had an incredible time at ViewPoint! The views are outstanding and the proximity to Beech Mountain and restaurants was sooo close. The only negative was the sheets in the master bedroom had makeup on one of the pillow cases... so we are not sure the sheets are cleaned. But all in all this place was fantastic, so I am still giving it 5 stars and would come back.
