Welcome to Old Mill Dome, a unique Island Park event and reunion venue. Old Mill
Dome is just shy of 10,000 square feet which means there is plenty of room to gather with
extended family, retreat with a large group or friends, or host a beautiful mountain wedding.
The Dome sleeps 40 in 10 private king bedrooms and two separate bunk rooms in the loft, each
with 5 cozy twin bunk beds. With 4 full bathrooms, there is no need to fight for space to get
ready for an adventurous day in Island Park. The Dome also provides ample opportunity for
entertainment! With a large theatre room that seats 17 in comfortable theatre styled seats,
you can cozy in with some popcorn in the evenings and watch a movie on your very own big
screen. Challenge friends to a game of pool or ping pong stationed in the loft or get outside and
play a game of volleyball or a game of horseshoe in the horseshoe pit. Enjoy the Dome’s very
own custom zip line that flies across a large section of the loft. With a group this big, a large
kitchen and dining area is very important. Old Mill Dome has got you covered! The Dome has a
large fully stocked kitchen with two ovens, two refrigerators, and two microwaves as well as
enough dinner ware for the entire group. Setting up for dinner time is simple with easy stowed
away tables and chairs on the main level. They are simple to put away if you need space to
spread out for games or gathering or non-invasive enough to leave out. There is nothing better
than a night out under the stars while gathering around the campfire, and luckily, The Old Mill
Dome has one large enough for everyone to enjoy! The splendid accommodations at The Old
Mill Dome will not disappoint.
Old Mill Dome is remotely located 4 miles down Chick Creek road, through a dense lodgepole pine tree forest. The road used to serve as a logging route used by trucks to transport trees from the Old Mill just down the way from the Dome. The structure sits on 2.5 lush acres of mountain meadow with views of the surrounding forest and mountain peaks. It is a prime spot to view elk, moose, and coyotes and other woodland critters. Better yet, the location of the Dome sits near miles upon miles of ATV, hiking and biking trails for you to explore. In fact, you
can take off right from the cabin door! The Dome sits in close proximity to the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway as well as Harriman State Park. The small section of Last Chance is just down Highway 20 where you will find a gas station to fuel up the toys and a delicious restaurant. Other local
attractions and businesses are just down Highway 20 that runs through the heart of Island Park and directly to the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, just 35 miles away. The location of Old Mill Dome provides a quiet secluded atmosphere, everything you might want for your mountain get away to Island Park. Plan your gathering at the Dome, you won’t be
disappointed.

Should provide some warning that the road in is 3-4 miles and must be traveled often to get in and out. It is quite rough on vehicles. Bathrooms need some maintenance.

The property was exactly what we wanted. It rained one day and our group just stayed inside because there was so much to do. The facility was outstanding. The night sky is breathtaking. We loved the solitude of the location. The pickleball/basketball court was wonderful. The kids couldn't stop riding the zip line! Perfect for our large family.

This house is a great set up for large families of all ages. Our grandkids were happy to hang out at the house, there was so much to keep them entertained. We had such a s great week there and nobody was quite ready to leave. We had a little issue with a couple of toilets not working right but the owners were so quick to get there and take care of the problem, it was awesome. Would definitely stay there again.

There was something for everyone and so much fun!

We have a big family and it was wonderful having a place that we could all be together and have room to hang out without being on top of each other. The zip line was going constantly and we loved having enough area to sit and talk or set up tables to play games. The bedrooms were a lot more spacious than I anticipated and the kitchen had plenty of storage and had the pots, pans, bowls, and everything we needed for cooking and serving the group. It was a great time; I would highly recommend it.

We were very impressed with how big this house was. The kids had fun with the zip line and there were lots of games and other things to keep us busy when we were just hanging out. Thanks, we’d do it again!

The Old Mill Dome is a great gathering place for large families. We had 13 adults and 16 kids at our reunion, including two infants. There were plenty of things in the Dome to keep kids happy. The beds were very comfortable. Everyone loved it!

This was the perfect place for my family to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary! We had 41 people ages ranging from 1-72. Everyone had a bed and married couples had their own rooms. Cooking for a large amount of people was a breeze in that kitchen! There was always plenty of entertainment for all ages. Some things we wish would would have known that were not listed in the amenities are: there are booster/high chair seats(we brought one and didn't need to). There are multiple pack n play cribs. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is provided. There is basketball and pickleball courts and supplies for them. There is a selection of movies, board games and toys. TVs also have streaming capabilities. Other entertainment- corn whole, horse shoes, pool, shuffle board, ping pong, zipline. Firewood is there but there is an extra charge to use it. I would highly recommend this place for your next large gathering!

Gem in the woods
The property is outstanding, clean, spacious for our family reunion. Thanks for Ty Smith for being ever-ready to respond to our calls. The only thing that was difficult was the 3.8 miles of dirt road & water puddles on old chick creek road. We later found out that there was another chick creek road that was drier but still challenging to drive d/t potholes along the way.

Great Stay
This property is amazing. Our grandchildren loved the zip line, and playing pool and ping pong. Also enjoyed horse shoes. We have a big family so it was nice to have plenty of rooms along with the bunk rooms. Some of our children used the time after our stay to explore Yellowstone since the property is close to the Park.
