We stayed at this wonderful house in May 2024 to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. As a party of 8, we had both properties and everything was immaculate and so well thought out, even the provisions for our dog.
The area is beautiful and I would recommend this to anyone to wants some peaceful away time to relax and chill.
Daniel was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely return for a longer stay :)

The two properties were ideal for our family of 9 and a dog! Plenty of space, well stocked, everything you need. Very comfortable. Pubs and walks nearby too.
Definitely recommend.

Both sides of the house were very well maintained and the location on the river made for a very lovely setting.
House utensils and furnishings were very well-equipped.
Only complaint - being from Southern Africa we do enjoy cooking outside. We found that the outside and particularly the BBQ equipment could have been better maintained. We found the 2 x Webers to be very dirty and the outside area not well-maintained. This may have been due to the time of year and the recent bad weather but we feel more should have been done.
All in all, a very enjoyable visit and would recommend to others.

Great house for multi generational group. First rate modern furnishings and equipment. Managed to walk directly from the house both days we were there in beautiful scenery. Only negative is it’s beside a busy junction and haulage business which can be quite noisy.

We had a great New Year break renting both Bridge View and Riverside Cottage together. Both were absolutely lovely - warm and cosy with everything we needed. Beautiful riverside views and fantastic scenery and walks close by. Will definitely return!

It was our family's first Christmas all together in over 10 years whilst staying here. The house is so comfortable and well equipped for a big family gathering, beautifully finished with such a clean, warm homely feel with thoughtful finishing touches. The house is situated right on the river in the lovely countryside and just a couple minutes walk to a local pub with friendly staff and locals. It was such an idilic home for Christmas time and cannot fault our stay at all. Thanks for playing a bit part of such a memorable Christmas!

Hired both properties for a family celebration.
All three generations were impressed with the facilities.
Fishing & Sky access was great for the youngsters and the adults could enjoy time together in the larger kitchen or have chill time in either of the two sitting rooms. Loads of attractions to explore in the area.

We had a wonderful stay - 3 families coming together for a week. Having the 2 properties adjoining each other was brilliant and access to the river provided hours of entertainment for the kids (and Dad's!). A great location to Matlock, Bakewell & Buxton meant we never had to travel far to have another fabulous day in the Peak District.

The accommodation was beautiful with more than enough facilities to our needs.
We went as a family of 10 with age ranging from 10 to 70+ and everyone loved the accommodation and location. I highly recommend this place as the host Dan replied to all my queries quickly and was not strict on timings. We had a fabulous time and this was due to the accommodation being so great!

Amazing property
We stayed over new year and for my mum's 60th birthday.
The property is fantastic, spotlessly clean and luxurious. The pictures don't do it justice, it is so much better in real life.
The whole stay was amazing, the river is so calming and the location is spot on.
There was nothing at all to fault, all the fixtures and fittings were of an excellent quality, there was everything you could need for fabulous holiday. The cottages where very homely and welcoming and the beds were so comfy.
Can't wait to come back again.
Thanks for an amazing stay. X

Family in the Peak District.
The cottages were wonderful. They were spacious and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The quality of the buildings and the fittings was exceptional and the setting on the river was beautiful and calm. We had a very relaxing stay.

A well appointed house in a pretty location
The property was well maintained with all household necessities. It is an old building and the ground floor has uneven stone floors. Upstairs is carpeted and comfortable. The garden areas are attractive overlooking the river, but care is needed on the uneven pathways.
The kitchens contained all modern conveniences except for a lemon squeezer.
