Peaceful, comfortable and value for money

The hosts were lovely, the whole time I was there it never felt like anyone else was there, it was uber silent and peaceful. Being from London, I felt I had the best nights sleep and as I had the en-suite I didn't leave my room unless I needed. The facilities were great, empty fridge to put your things in, local amenities if you needed (but its driving distance of 5 mins). I found the host were very respectful of the space and privacy and if I had any questions they would answer it immediately. If I was coming back to Telford I would definitely book again.

Disappointing

The host was very welcoming

Room didn't have a tv. All tea making facilities was in the homes kitchen none in the single room. I asked to see if a tv could be sorted like previous guests and didn't get one. For £188 for 4 nights is not worth it considering I am now in different digs £2 dearer at £190 I have a big spacious room loovely furniture comfy bed tea coffee making facilities and ensuite. I had no offer from them to make a sandwich as I am out before breakfast whereas current digs are making me a pack up. If you can't get any of other 2 rooms I would look elsewhere. Oh and bring slippers as you have to take ya shoes or work boots off at the door

Read the small print! Convenient location, pleasant host.

Convenient location, clean bedroom, showers were good. Pleasant host who responded quickly. En-suite room doesn't have a TV but host very kindly let us change rooms for a few nights which was helpful.

Sadly, the oven trays were filthy with smelly food debris, and we felt we needed to wash other kitchen items before use. Kitchen crockery was very basic - only enough for two people even though there could potentially be 6 people staying at once. No pan lids, no frying pan, the only two pans were medium sized and had 'burnt' marks inside. Bowl chipped. Limited cutlery/utensils but adequate for our stay. Fridge for guests is in the way of eating area but we managed. We were only given one bath towel between two of us, there was no hand towel in the shared bathroom so had to keep remembering our single towel each time. En-suite room does not have a TV so check this before booking. Back bedroom with TV has a smaller double bed, not standard 4ft6 size. There are two car parking spaces with the property so if the house is full, this causes tension with a neighbour who yelled out of the window at us to move our car - which we did - but he didn't even have a car, the space remained empty for our entire stay (4 days) !! There are two dogs close by, who are clearly left outside (in separate gardens) as we could hear them barking both in the morning and early evening.

Weekend in Telford for Comic Con.

The owner was very pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was comfortable. The location is nice and in easy reach.

The bed was comfortable, but the headboard kept knocking into the wall, making a bang whenever we moved. When you book, be aware it is a room within someone's house with a shared kitchen.(We knew this when booked, but they were no hotels available) And although the owner is lovely, you do feel a bit intrusive when we were there. Guests get 1 side cupboard in the kitchen. Going forward, I would maybe label the cupboard that's for guests, as we'd just arrived from a 5 hour coach trip, she did say the open cupboards were for guests, when we went back down 2 were open, but we had used a wrong cupboard. She also told me about a £40 damage deposit that i would get back on the leaving day that she forgot to take on the first night. Booking.com never mentioned this, and I had no money on me once we came back from the day at Comic Con. Both of these were no trouble, we apologised and she seemed okay with it.

Lovely facilities, but uncomfortable on the coldest night of the year.

Exceptionally clean, lovely facilities, very comfortable bed. TV and internet, really good.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that on the coldest night of the year, there was no heating in my bedroom and I had to use the towels and my coat to keep myself warm in the bedroom.

Good location for my stay in Telford but being on new housing estate was not easy to find address, not found on my Garmin satnav but on mobile phone Google maps, went to wrong address before finding correct address.

Disappointing

Owner was friendly.

It's a strange situation, it doesn't say on the website that you share the house with the owner. Feels invasive and intrusive. Lots of the doors closed off to guests. Bathroom isn't en-suite, is just a private bathroom. No towels provided.

I’ve stayed in over a hundred places with my work and this one was the strangest you have to take shoes off/ no lock on bedroom door/one cupboard and shared kitchen with cctv camera watching you. It’s in the middle of an unfinished housing estate, sorry not for me

In our opinion.. IF tea / coffee facilities were in the room ( maybe toaster ) you would be more self sufficient , save bothering the owner. (Abigail ) .
