About this house rental
Redone for summer 2024, with remodeled gym, cornhole arena (including seating) on roof, new linen and towels, connected indoor fireplace and fire pit, etc. This house is at the end of a private dead-end road, surrounded by trees and water, and everything is designed to take advantage of that. This isn't luxury -- it's a lakehouse -- but it's super-comfortable, stylish and no details have been omitted in terms of enjoying yourself. We've limited how many times we'll rent it and who we rent it to, as this is our home.
You both get a giant main house, with 5 bedrooms (4 have office work space), 5 bathrooms (4 full), a gym, a movie theater, a rooftop cornhole arena, outdoor decks galore and a lake view from most rooms. AND your own private duplex boathouse, right on the water (one of just a handful grandfathered in on Saratoga Lake), which includes sun deck with dining area and chaise lounges, a boathouse newly renovated into your own lakeside bar (including a professional snow cone machine for the kids and tropical drinks for adults) and your own dock, perfect for watching sunsets, jumping in the lake, kayaking (two provided), fishing (poles provided) or docking one boat. For those who want a 6th bedroom, there's a comfortable futon in the renovated gym, which also includes one of house's full bathrooms, as well as a closet.
Those who visit, especially families, will find it a magical place, with beautiful natural light, built into a private forest and the lake with all amenities that you might need (see list below ). Whether it's happy hour by the outdoor fire pit (all gas provided!), a family cornhole competition on the rooftop or jumping into the lake from the private lakefront area, grilling and eating on the patio with friends, relaxing in the professional movie theater with a real popcorn or getting a proper workout, we're here to make this an incredible visit.
In the fall, leaf buffs will be in heaven. In the winter, so will ski bums. We're 25 minutes from West Mountain and Willard, 55 minutes from Gore, and bit over an hour from Bromley, Stratton and Killington. The lake in the winter is often frozen solid, which allows for ice skating, watching the ice fishing shacks, etc.
List of amenities:
- Plenty of parking space
- wrap-around deck, 3 private bedroom decks, rooftop deck, boathouse decks
- private lakefront beach
- full gym (weight machines, treadmill, free weights, massage table)
- movie theater room (including popcorn machine, Dolby surround, three rows of real movie seating, lights)
- Fully stocked kitchen: Keurig, outdoor grill, mixer, air fryer, George Foreman, kettle, toaster, etc
- outdoor grill
- jacuzzi bathtub in master bedroom
- Blazing fast Internet (mesh system)
- Numerous workspaces, most with lake views

My husband picked out this house because it had the bedrooms we needed for a reunion of Duke University friends. We are 75-76 years old and did not realize steep stairs are needed to reach all the bedrooms! The house needs some sprucing up: dirty carpet, clicking fans, not very nice bed covers, there was no TP, no wash cloths, minimal PT in the kitchen. The view of the lake is at a much greater distance than expected, this is not waterfront even though there is a boathouse. The rooftop putput was not accessible for our group.

We had a great time! The house is lovely and Randall was a gracious host. The lake is beautiful and surprisingly quiet. We had a great time hanging out, fishing and kyaking.

Lake conditions and certain amenities not ideal
Overall, the house was nice and owner was super responsive. However, the cleanliness and certain things about the home were not what we were used to. We are a large group and house didn’t really work for our specific needs. Also, the lake was super weedy near the dock and shore and so was not really swimmable near the house. I’m sure it would be great for other renters, but just didn’t meet our needs. We still had a good time with friends and family, but don’t feel like the house lived up to the description.

Spacious lake front property
It was a very fun and pleasant 6 days at this property. We had 4 families from grandparents, children and grandchildren of 13. Randall was very responsive to all questions and concerns we might of had. The grandkids really enjoyed the movie room with the popcorn machine, mini golf on the roof top to spending time at the boat house enjoying the snow cone machine. Randall was kind enough to let us dock our jet skis for the kids to enjoy( Big Mable). This a spacious and beautiful property to enjoy.

The property is awesome! It was able to comfortably fit my decent sized family comfortably. Randall responds almost instantaneously and assisted us just as quickly. The boat house deck is awesome and we spent most of our time there! The size and location of the property along with the host made for an unforgettable trip. I would recommend this property for anyone who wants to kick back and have fun!
