Very cosy felt like home away from home

This large house is within a relatively secluded area but just a short drive to Puerto Plata. The house itself is very spacious and open, with lots of natural light and a terrace from which to contemplate the ocean. My wife and I play tennis and we used the neighborhood courts both days we were there, and then relaxed by the house pool. Jay, the new property manager was impeccable in the upkeep of the house and pool and made us feel right at home. The fact that he's English but knows the area so well is perfect. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful Neglected Disaster
House was over 100 degrees upon arrival. No a/c except one bedroom. Absolutely filthy with rotten food in home. Highly neglected yet beautiful. Pool/jacuzzi doesn't work and appeared pea green. The "caretaker" stays inside the home with you. He was looking through our things daily. He doesn't speak any English other than to say "f*&^ you." He locked us out on the second day. Caretaker extremely aggressive and said he owned home and didn't want us there. Owner stated caretaker drinks. Had to involve local authorities. Stay away at all costs.
