Come Stay at this 3024 square foot colonial home with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. 4.5 acres along side Little Elk Creek with New River access down the hill outside of the neighborhood. As soon as the guests arrive into the gated community they can leave their busy world behind.
As you travel into the development you will experience an uphill drive with wood area and trees on both sides of the road. When pulling into the driveway there is a newly built deck to sit and enjoy while listening to the rushing creek. The deck steps will lead to an open scenic walk to enjoy and to reflect on life. When you decide to finally go into the house you will experience an open feel to the home with plenty of seating in the living room and dining room. There is a bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has two bunk beds. Enjoy the yoga mats and weights for your morning exercise routine. Wake up early or stay up late and enjoy a cup of coffee or a good novel out on the balcony.
Don't forget the basement which sleeps six with a bathroom so no need in walking up the steps to the main level. When you want to just get away from it all again walkout the basement door to the newly built deck that you experienced when you first arrived at Creekside.
We hope that our guests enjoy the tranquility of our creekside home as much as we do!

This property set the stage for a great family getaway. Three floors with bedrooms and bathrooms allowed everyone to have their own space and be together at the same time. Outdoor porches were great for dining and relaxing and the creek providing hours of enjoyment. Private access to the river located at the entrance gate was providing a great spot for kids to wade and tube.

Extremely comfortable and well stocked. We cooked several meals, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.
The host went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Lots of helpful information prior to our visit made check in and check out easy.
Highly recommend this lovely home in a beautiful setting!!

It was a beautiful property and house. There was lots of space and great instructions. Host replied quickly and was very helpful. No issues, we’d definitely stay again. It was easy to get to the city of Boone and loved the little stores near the house.

First off, I will say the property was absolutely stunning. The home itself was immaculate and well-stocked. There were a lot of cute little details that really showed time and effort were put into this property.
As someone who uses VRBO regularly, I would suggest that during the winter, the white "old school" stove, as well as, the fireplaces, should be useable. Those would have been well appreciated at night when it was about 16 degrees, especially in the open upper tv area that did not get very warm. I would also consider adding additional TVs in the main bedrooms.
Just a few things to note: the property is in a gated community, however, you are virtually all alone up on the mountain side in what appears to be a development community, that for whatever reason, never took off. You are extremely secluded as there is only 1 other home that is visible and (at least when we were there) empty. (In an emergency, this could be an issue, as the you are quite a ways away from any real town or emergency facility.) However, if your goal is to get away from folks, this is it! :)
All in all, it was a wonderful stay. The owner was extremely responsive with all of our questions. The creek view was stunning! House was clean. Was about an hour or so to many of the nearby towns. Would definitely consider coming back!

We were a large group, 7 adults 5 children (aged 10 months - 14). There was plenty of space for us all to both gather and to have our own spaces. The views were beautiful and the house was very well stocked. Kitchen was perfect to cook all our meals for our group of 12. Would definitely stay there again.

Roomy cabin with lots of decks for relaxing outside. The sound of the stream flowing over rocks just below the house was perfect.

I stayed here with a group of friends. We really enjoyed our time. The house was very clean as well as the property. The creek running near the house was pleasant to look at and listen to. The owners were very receptive. I highly recommend this rental and will surely use it again in the future.

This property was perfect for the groom’s family who came from the Outer Banks, South Carolina, Illinois, and Florida! We held our Family Reunion between the wedding events! Thank you for offering us your beautiful property.

Our family of 6 stayed here for our niece’s wedding. There were not many options near the venue; this was close and had enough beds, so we booked it! This home is gorgeous and very spacious. We only stayed for one night, but it would be a great place for a longer family stay. The cabin is secluded so there is plenty of privacy. There is tubing and kayaking right down the road and a cute little country bakery. The hosts were kind enough to allow us an early arrival so we had time to get ready for the wedding after traveling all day. The bunk beds were a little small for our teenage boys but would be fine for younger children. Highly recommend!

This place was awesome in every way you could imagine. The house had everything you needed for your stay and more. This was a family trip and we don’t get to see each others very much because we live all over the country. We spent most of our time there on the outside deck talking and listening to the creek water running down the hillside. We all agree we would return next year.

After biking, tubing, and shopping it was perfect place to relax. Tucked away it was living in a super comfortable tree house. Perfect spot for game nights.

Overall rating is 4.5 stars and very happy with rental. Owners were very accommodating and easy to work with, ensuring good communication. The house was as described in the listing, although I think it’s better suited to people who don’t mind sharing space vs couples who all want their own space for sleeping. But we made it work! The kitchen and living areas were beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect. The lower level was good for a group of kids, but not ideal for adults - and when we were there, it was a cold and rainy night and we couldn’t identify a way to generate heat down there so it wasn’t comfortable. The location of the house was a bit challenging to find for some of our group after dark. But overall we were extremely pleased with the house and the outdoor space and have talked about going back to stay over the summer or in the fall, for more than just 1 night and with fewer people (3 adult couples). We really want to be able to enjoy the outdoor space next time - deck with fire pit overlooking the creek! Todd is a quaint little town and close enough to Boone to be convenient for outings, yet the location has all the privacy and serenity of the outdoors. Definitely recommend this house!

The main bed in the second floor was supremely comfortable. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful gathering spots. We’ll come back.

Convenient to activities we planned in Blowing Rock, Boone, and West Jefferson.

Beautiful property. Everything was great! There were only 2 things that could have made it better; a set of sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. for all the futons and directions on how to turn up the heat in the lower level. I didn't bother asking about the heat bc we were only staying 2 nights.

Very nice property! We visited with some teens and younger kids for a campus tour of App State, some hiking at Linville Falls, and skiing at Sugar Mountain. The house was as described and the pictures are accurate. Lots of space for two families with 7 kids. Each couple had a king bed, all the teen boys slept in the basement, and the younger kids loved the bunk room.
We were busy all weekend and would have liked to spend some more time at the house and maybe hiked along the creek. It is a very nice setting, but also a bit remote from Boone / Blowing Rock / skiing. Not a big deal if you plan your days accordingly. Next time we will spend a day hanging around the house to enjoy it even more.

We had a pleasant stay. The space was clean, comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a home away from home experience. The host was very responsive. We highly recommend this property and would love to stay here again in the future. The only knock was the top bunk mattress was sunken in could feel the metal/wooden slats.

Spacious, updated and beautifully appointed cabin. Slept comfortably. Had all the things you need for an enjoyable stay.

We had a great stay at Creekside. It was extremely cold (-2 degrees) and had a few questions about the house, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. The house is very well stocked with everything you need for the kitchen and bathroom. The bedrooms and bedding all felt really clean. The upstairs living room was so nice to hang out it. The only thing I wish it had was a TV in the main living room where the kitchen was. It is as freezing cold outside, and with it being Christmas, we did a lot of movie watching and baking, and it would’ve been nice to have all of that in the same room. We’d love to return in the summer! The creek below was beautiful, and the fire pit space was really nice- just too cold to use. Great VRBO experience!

We only got to stay one night when we went to Tweetsie Christmas but it was great. We will definitely like to go back again and stay longer to experience the outdoors. The house was well stocked and very clean. Property manager was great to work with. Plenty of room for our family. Highly recommend this property.

Creekside was the perfect place for our family (six adults and two children). In addition to being spacious and beautiful, the hosts thought of everything from kleenex to night lights, kitchen items, even a blower for the porches! The house was very clean, well furnished, and the beds were comfortable. We would have enjoyed the deck overlooking the creek if the weather had permitted it. The bright light post at the end of the driveway made the house easy to locate for nighttime arrivals. Checking in and out were easy. This is a place we hope to return to when in the area again!

We had a great time celebrating a birthday and Thanksgiving! It was nice to have all of us one roof together!

We enjoyed our stay at Creekside. It is a beautiful home and surrounding area just as the listing showed. There was plenty of room for our entire family. It was very clean and comfortable. The host was quick to respond to questions and was very helpful. We would definitely consider staying here again!

We had a great stay at creekside cabin and I would highly recommended it if you are looking for a quiet getaway by the creek. The house was clean and cozy. The only thing that my mom was not a fan of was no TV on the main level or in the bedroom.
