Overall, very good location. Right next to a very good pub and also to the South Downs (walking distance). Facilities were generally excellent. Will certainly come again in the future and recommend coming here for other travellers.
Just a couple of minor issues. The light on the bathroom mirror does not work. Bottom door lock very stiff and could not be moved.

Comfortable bed
Not very clean. Dirty sponge in sink.

Cleanliness, comfort and quality of the facilities. Lovely views and quiet

Perfect - everything you might want had been thought off and provided.
A caution for anyone with shoulder or back issues - the bed is heavy to handle during descent and being put back in place.

EVERYTHING! it's the little touches that go above and beyond which make it special. This was a return stay after being equally impressed last year and I will be making next year 3 in a row ;)
Um, nothing!

Very clever but had a few problems working the puzzles out!
It was a little dark and suggest that the lighting be a little brighter as I checked in late at night.

A wonderful Shepherd hut. It was amazing how much thought had been put in to this hut. Will definitely come again. The Jack&Jill Inn pub next door should also get a special mention.

Being given an upgrade and the overall character of the place, quite the gem of a property .The veggie full English breakfast was next level and great service.
Seeing a packet of complimentary earplugs on your pillow is not a good sign when there was no mention of noise when you booked. In the end it wasn't too bad but you could hear the restaurant below.

Definitely a peaceful getaway but convenient for visiting Brighton and the Downs. Great view of countryside. Really well equipped with all mod cons. Clean. Clear instructions. Loved the jack and jill pub next door and the windmills. All as described on site.
Nothing to criticise as all as described.

What a find !! This is a little gem.The shepherds hut is well presented, very clean, modern & cosy! It's very private with its own little garden with decking, table & chairs for you to sit & admire the lovely surrounding countryside views! Definitely going to book it again, next time I'm in the Area. ❤️

A lovely location, very cosy and clean. Beautiful views, and had everything we needed.

Cute and well fitted out with all necessities for my stay. Good size for 1 or 2 travellers. Once I had the instructions how to get there and for entry, everything was easy. Easy to park. Nice and private and felt safe and secure. Compact yet still with space to move about in. Not too far to the nearest big village (Hassocks) and shops. There is a foot path all the way, so is possible to walk if you wanted (tho bring a torch if it's dark because there's no street lighting near the end).
I liked most things. Only minor niggles. Could have done with a flat tray for the oven. Light in the bathroom mirror seemed broken (little on/off switch did nothing). Not really the owners fault but there was an infestation of ladybirds, which was a bit odd. Scooped up about 30-40 of them and released them outside (they kept flying about inside, or I wouldn't have bothered). No idea how they got in.

Nothing all perfect!

looked amazing, good facilities, cozy. bed was comfortable and decent size bathroom. Also The treats the host left in the fridge were a nice touch.
WiFi wasn’t working, but do understand that’s just one of those things that can’t be helped. And if I was to be picky the tv was a bit awkward to watch due to not being on a swivel bracket.

I now know why it is called The Getaway: it’s probably the best hidden gem of Hassocks and surroundings😊 We were stunned when we arrived through the gate: a lovely private space with a spotless and very well equipped shepherd hut, and all of this with a magnificent view and sunset. The first night we figured out quite quickly how the bed worked and slept excellent! Anna was ever so kind and I completely forgot to ask where she bought the handles for the windows, we absolutely loved that style! At the beginning of the parking lot is the bus-stop going to Brighton, so perfect for us, not having to hassle with our car 😊 Just don’t forget to check the timetables, because the last bus back from Brighton on Sunday’s, towards the Jack&Jill Inn bus stop, is at 17.20 😉 We are definitely coming back here, but will be staying longer next time 😊
Our stay was way too short ;-)

This shepherds hut is all about the secluded location tucked out of the way at the bottom of a garden with entry via a combination gate in the corner of, a very friendly, pubs car park. There is a lovely relaxing view across the fields filled with sheep munching on the grass. Everything you need is made available in the hut even some nice welcoming treats left for us in the fridge.
Be careful with the fold down bed as it is rather heavy!

The only thing we didn't like was the fact we couldn't stay longer..🙂🙂🙂❤❤

Compact but had everything that I needed. Spotless . Bed , which folds down from the wall, and mattes, duvet and pillows so comfortable . No noise at all even though near to the pub which was really convenient for meals

The hut is just perfect! We have never stayed in this area before and we will definitely come again! Extremely clean and tidy accommodation. Excellent cooking facilities and food storage. The shower and bathroom is quite spacious. Very comfortable bed. The views are lovely and if you get a visit from the cat, then that's a lovely bonus too! Seating area outside gives you a lovely view. The hut is situated within good walking routes.
Nothing!! All amazing! What a great little gem! The pictures show exactly what the Shepherds Hut is like, perfect!
