Sea Salt Cottage offers spectacular views of the beach and the Olympic National Park from this cozy cottage on the bluff above the waters of Hood Canal. The view is toward the mountains to the west, so the afternoon sun warms the yard and the sunsets are the show of the day. The beach is a short walk down the staircase / trail that ends at the beach on Hood Canal. Walk the beach, search for shells, fish, crab, dig for clams, or simply enjoy the views. Come have fun!
Sea Salt Cottage is a great starting point for day trips to Kingston, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, and Port Gamble. If you want to head further out, Port Townsend and the Olympic National Park await.

Our family of 5 - 3 kids ages 17, 14, & 11 enjoyed our stay at Sea Salt Cottage. Our two youngest enjoyed playing on the beach and clamming at low tide. We used a nearby access point of the Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trail to put in our skiff to do some crabbing. We also enjoyed kayaking at midnight in nearby Port Gamble Bay to see the bioluminescent algae. This quaint cottage was perfect for some downtime as a family. We will certainly be back.

I've stayed in many VRBOs, and this one, by far, is the best. Adrienne's home was so well equipped. She thought of everything. From spices to blankets to throw over our legs on a cool evening, the home was so comfortable. Now let's talk view...we kept saying, "Wow, we could get used to this." It is truly magical to look out onto Hood Canal. Our adult children loved playing cornhole and badminton while we sat by an outdoor fire one early evening. It was a short drive to The Kingston House, where our son was married, a short drive to Safeway to pick up supplies, and there are several little towns close by to explore. For a full-day trip, Olympic National Park or the Pacific Ocean are within reach! Since our son and new daughter-in-law live in Seattle, we are already thinking of return trips to Sea Salt Cottage! Thank you, Adrienne, for having such a memorable home.

I wish this place was closer to MI. Just what we needed after a non-stop adventure at Olympic National Park.
This place had amazing views and we even got a chance to see a sub cruising the canal.
The decor was incredible. We almost didn’t wanted yes anything since everything was so nice.
Can’t wait return when we make it back in the area.

Everything about this location is 5 stars. Obviously, you come for the views, but the owners go above and beyond to make your stay special and relaxing. From the tips on things to do in the area to the games and kid friendly activities provided at the house, everything has been thought of. This is truly a special place to stay.

Cute, well appointed, clean, homey and relaxing with great views! Best VRBO I’ve rented to date. The pictures don’t do it justice as can’t possibly capture all the finer touches and thoughtfulness of the owners. Clearly a well-loved family home. Highly recommend and we will be back!

From the second we arrived at Sea Salt Cottage, we felt like we were transported to another world!
The inside of the house was absolutely immaculate. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We instantly felt warm and welcomed.
We saw humming birds, coyotes, eagles, herons, bunnies and all sorts of other furry woodland creatures. This place is truly magical and an apparent sanctuary for humans and wildlife alike!!
The host is one of the kindest most attentive hosts, we have ever had. She answered all our questions and took very good care of us, from start to finish.

The cottage was just as pictured. Updated, well appointed, crisp and clean. Adorable secret reading loft for the girls. Sand dollars were bountiful down at the beach. Beautiful view. Definitely recommended!

This is one of the best properties we've ever stayed at. It was extremely clean, very well decorated, and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The property and house were amazing. Adrienne anticipates all your needs. Impressive. House was so comfortable and homey. An excellent place for teachers to relax and decompress and have time to chat about things other than school. Views are breathtaking. Definitely want to return.

We enjoyed everything single thing about our stay at Sea Salt Cottage. One of the most welcoming and well appointed vacation rentals I’ve ever experienced. It’s plainly obvious how seriously Adrienne takes the hospitality aspect of her property management, seeming to anticipate all wants and needs. The view of the water and mountains from the big dining table is fantastic and yard w fire pit a perfect place to hang out at night. Loved walking out the gate onto the beach, lots of wildlife. Thanks for a very special weekend!

This beach house was a dream. Gorgeous location, perfect for our rest and relaxation. All the nice touches by Adrienne, made us feel like cherished family that they had opened their house to, instead of strangers! Highlight was watching a submarine go by. Kitchen was very well stocked and organized. Bedding was high quality! Everything truly was perfect! Can't wait to get some more time away and stay again!

If I could move in, I would. Sea Salt Cottage is the calmest most serenely beautiful place I have ever stayed. One night alone and the next with girlfriends was exactly what my overwhelmed mom brain was craving. I plan to start a special savings account so I can afford to visit Sea Salt Cottage regularly as part of my own self care-- can't pour from an empty cup!
The house itself is spotless, comfortable, perfectly-equipped, and beautifully-decorated. Adrienne has thought of absolutely EVERYTHING and I felt so welcome and cared for that I have decided to ask her to adopt me.
And the windows! The view is the BEST / WORST thing about it this magical location! Where do you look?! 180 degrees is too much for take in! Sunset was absolute torture to my FOMO (fear of missing out). When my family came to pick me up, my husband instantly sat down on the couch and started looking up availability for a family visit in the summer. I'm not kidding-- he barely even said hello, just whipped out his phone to start looking at the calendar!
Suffice to say, you will not regret your stay, though I probably will. If everyone learns about this treasure it means less time for me!!

Sea Salt Cottage is the perfect place for a family, or friends gathering. Everything was so thoughtfully laid out and well supplied. Adrienne even went the extra mile and decorated for our stay over Christmas. We really enjoyed our time unwinding there after a long road trip. It had every thing we needed for a memorable stay!!

This Thanksgiving our family stayed at Sea Salt Cottage for the third time — each time for a week or more.
My favorite things about our home-away-from-home:
-the decor immediately gives me a sense of calm with its whitewashed finishes and maritime blue details
-the expansiveness of the million-dollar view makes my soul sing
-the kitchen is filled with everything I need to make good food
-when little ones stop by, the cabinet full of toys and the basket brimming with Duplo create joyful chaos
-the outside amenities — stairs to the beach, hammock, swing, picnic table, BBQ, firepit—are appreciated by all
I look forward to heading back next year for a wonderful getaway and family gathering.

My family and I stayed at Sea Salt Cottage in July 2023. There were 7 of us, ranging from 17-49. We all absolutely loved this property. It was spacious, open and beautiful. The views were stunning, the beach below was full of wonder at low tide, and the house was so comfortable. My children, 17-24, loved hanging out at the house and want to return again soon. I couldn't have asked for a better place for our family vacation. Communication with the owner was great and she had the house stocked with every item you could possibly need. This location is truly a gem!

We’ve been coming to Hansville for 16 years and this is one of the best houses we’ve stayed at. It’s beautiful, comfortable and has an outstanding view. We cook at the house, and this kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. I can’t wait to come back next year!

Returned after staying last year. Same great property, setting and HOST! Enjoyed a week of perfect weather and amazing sunsets looking over Hood Canal and the Olympics. House again, was well kept, clean and just the right amenities. Easily could be a three-peat for us again.

Thank you to our host, Adrienne! Your house was absolutely beautiful. We spent two nights at the cottage. My cousin and took our moms for a pre-birthday get-away. They were celebrating their 81st birthdays! It was comfortable, calming and a perfect spot to view the peaceful scenery and spend time together. Would definitely come back in the future!

We stay in Hansville every summer and this house was amazing. The space is thoughtfully laid out and the kitchen was so well stocked! There were even little welcome treats for the whole family when we arrived, a nice little touch. The view from this house is nothing short of breathtaking, sunsets are spectacular, and we were fortunate enough to be out there during the meteor showers and were not disappointed. It is a long haul down steps to the beach, so wouldn't be great for anyone with mobility issues, but there are other more accessible beaches in the area if you needed to drive to one. Great spot for our family! We'll definitely be back!
