Perfect location. The pub had an open log fire.
The weather was poor!

Ideal location as I was doing the archeological dig nearby. The pub was next door so we ate in there at night. Beautiful area.
Nothing to say

Really sweet little cottage with everything we needed. Cosy, warm and peaceful, with lovely food at the pub next door. The village itself is very interesting with nice walks to some fab historical landmarks. We had a wonderful time :)
Nothing. It was lovely.

Having milk, juice tea etc was lovely. Being able to have dinner in our room was fabulous. So friendly and welcoming.
The hot water was a bit hit and miss.

The self contained annexe was beautiful and had all the amenities we could ask for, the little kitchen with hobs helped us save some money on breakfast and lunch, had complimentary juice, milk, coffee, tea and sugar. Good location in the village, only 15 min drive from monmouth where all the shops are. Overall beautiful stay.
The bed was quite small for 2 people, just a small double bed but if you're not a cuddler it wouldn't be the most comfortable for sleep, although it was a good firm matress. We were meant to have a parking space reserved by the annexe but there was a skip bin there and because the pub gets so busy it was a gamble whether we were gonna find parking coming back from our daily ventures. The beer garden wasn't open so we didn't have noise coming through but if it was I am not sure how much it would have affected our stay since it's right next to the room. I found the price a little bit on the high scale but cheaper than most places that offered that quality.

Location grear, food in pub was really lovely homecooked food. Served in front of a roaring fire in a lovely pub with lovely ale.

Everything, pub food was amazing, cottage cozy, friendly staff.
A really lovely couple of nights away.
Bigger bed would of been great, but would still stay again.

The cottage is very spacious and well presented. It is very convenient to explore the area of Wye Valley, being all the main landmarks within a 20min drive radius. It was very easy to get the keys and the food at the Lion Inn (pub that manages the cottage) is amazing.
The cottage could have been cleaner, some surfaces were a bit dusty and it was quite dirty behind the auxiliary tables, but overall okay. Also, there is supposed to be parking reserved for the cottage but both times we tried to park, we found this spot already occupied and (probably due to the bank holiday weekend) it was not easy to find another spot.

The village of Trelleck was a perfect location for visiting the Wye Valley. The one bed cottage was situated in the car park of the Lion Pub where a full menu was available to choose from. We enjoyed the food. The staff were friendly and accommodating during our stay. The kitchen was well set up for self catering options and the shower worked well. TV, dining table, coffee table, storage and space were all good points.
I think we were a little unlucky with the timing of our visit. A cider festival had just finished in the pub garden and unfortunately First Impressions count! Two portable toilets were standing guard right next to our front door! and remained there throughout our stay.
The regular cleaner was away and the owners were let down badly by their support staff. We arrived to an unclean location. We went for a drive whilst the accommodation was sorted for us with apologies!
We were there during the hot spell and our visit coincided with the drains at the rear of the pub having issues with flow! The resulting smell prevented us using the patio table on occasion and chased us inside a few times.
The portable toilets took our reserved parking space; not a problem for 90% of the time but did return early afternoon to no space to park on one occasion.
The property is what I would describe as "tired" and in need of some TLC. Threadbare carpet is the biggest issue if you stand on the gripper rod in bare feet to enter the bathroom like I did! A good clean of the dust and cobwebs around the room would have given a better impression. The sofa need changing for one not at its end of life.

Very clean. Great to have basic kitchen facilities. Lovely village.
Take eyemasks as there are skylights with no blinds. Also, take care not to turn on lots of electrics (shower, kettle etc) at once or they may trip. Otherwise a great stay though, we would go back!

What can I say, everything was great.
The staff the beer and the food.
The locals were very friendly and that made the stay even better.
Would not hesitate to return again!
Only one little thing, we were unable to block out the morning light from the roof windows.

Upon opening the door we were delighted with the cottage amd where it was in a peaceful village. Allowing us to bring our small dogs was fantastic.
Be able to have room service for our dinner was fantastic. The owner (Debs) and staff were exceptional.

Location quiet
It was perfect for a 1 night stay

In a good location for local attractions and a multitude of walks close by. The cottage is basic but all that we needed for a 2 night stay.
Not the venues fault but there was little or no mobile reception in the area (may be an advantage to some!) The WiFi didnt work durung the day either so no options for streaming devices when stuck in during poor weather. On the whole the cottage was clean but need to pay attention to the ceiling/ window areas as covered in cobwebs.

The Accomodation was of a very high standard & the location was excellent. The Lion Pub which is next door to the beautiful cottage had delicious food & very friendly & attentive staff. We will definitely return to this lovely cottage & eat out again at the Lion Pub.

Very quiet although next to the pub. We took our two small dogs with us and it was perfect. We had room to eat outside and the pub was very accommodating by bringing our food to us. Very comfortable, clean and ever we needed for our stay.
