Nice location for a crash pad with minimal fuss

The bath was great, nice deep soaker tub with plenty of hot water. Having access to the Netflix was a nice bonus.

It was FREEZING cold when we got in and barely got to a comfortable level. In the middle of January, during storm Isha it would have been nice to be welcomed to a warm room. Totally appreciate the need to save the environment and be economic, but sometimes it’s a false economy if we are going from zero to full blast on the thermostat.

Overall good experience.

Safe and quiet.

It was chilly so in two rooms dialed up the radiators. Right after we went bed there was loud repetitive alarm. We found a control panel by front door which showed excessive heat. We quickly turned heat down to almost minimal so in a few minutes alarm stopped.

Great stay, would recommend and book again.

Central location, bright, spacious top floor apartment with traditional features throughout. Tastefully decorated and reasonably maintained. Central Heating worked well. Mountain View out south facing Velux window. Access was by a system of key safes and door codes, which meant that having/leaving keys was not an issue and access was uncomplicated. Host met and explained the access on arrival and main features of the rooms and we were left to enjoy our stay in Ballater.

Only one issue that could be fixed and that was the drainage rate from the shower cubicle. The shower was excellent, with shower pump and nice hot water, but the slow drainage meant you had to stop sooner than you’d have liked, to avoid overflowing onto bathroom floor. Minor detail I suppose.

Disappointing

Peaceful accommodation in quite good location. Nice big bathroom. Large modern television.

The bed-sitting room was small and only had one chair. Also there was only one table lamp. The furniture was mostly old and worn. The window pane was cracked and the window wouldn't open. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were worn. The bathroom sink was cracked.

booked 3 rooms No.1,2,3, No. 1 was a suite very modern but poor shower. Shower in rooms 1 & 2 was not good, it was over the bath and fluctuated between extremely hot and freezing cold. Rooms were quite dated. rooms 1 & 2 were not worth what we paid, had the rates been half of what we paid then it would have been value for money, room 3 was worth what we paid for it. we checked the 5* Balmoral Arms in Ballater and they were £50 cheaper with restaurant, Bar etc.

A comfortable stay for a wedding . Brilliant town with great cafes .

The location and decor . Great fan in bedroom. Good facilities , large bathroom.

The bathroom was very warm due to the weather but no fan as in the bedroom .

Lovely family trip to Ballater

Lovely big family room with king sized bed and sofa bed, perfect for our stay with the grandkids. The bathroom had bath and shower facilities, towels were provided. Lovely garden view from the window . Central location in Ballater. Host kept in touch and provided instructions for access to the room.

Decor a little dated but bright family sized room.

Nearly there…!

Central location and instructions provided by owner for keyless entry system. Great TV with wide selection of channels and Netflix. Complementary wine, teas/coffees, biscuits. Huge, bright bathroom.

Extremely low water pressure in shower. Water was also cold. Instructions provided let us know that we should fix this by turning all hot taps on full for a few minutes. Pressure was still extremely low, but we did then get hot water, having followed advice.

The location (central, but quiet at nighttime), big bathroom, restaurants and bars nearby, super market and bakery nearby, easy parking nearby, very easy check-in and check-out

You take a risk of not being able to get into your room if you book this property.

As there was no key in the key case I was unable to get into the building or my room when I returned to it after being out for supper. There was no answer on the owner's contact mobile number and I was not able to get into the room until 10.30 the next morning. I requested a refund but a month later have received nothing.

Avoid like the plague.....

Location

Not an Airbnb no breakfast available. Nor any facilties to cater for ourselves. No kitchen, no cutlery, nowhere to store food or even to prepare one. No drawer space to store clothes so we were living out of suitcases. Limited hanging space but only when we removed the ironing board.
