I was staying in both: Room and Deluxe Bugalow. Of course second one was better but just becaosue of the terrace and energy.
Food was amazing, 5 minutes from beach, even the property is at lake, so it was a little bit strange feeling. However no moscitos or animals.
I did Panchakarma. Therapist Jiji was great as well as Sony (host).
Program also was good with short cooking classes every day 2x yoga & Mediatiation.
I've found yoga different from the one that we used to have as teacher had very fire/strong energy and I would say it was more like power yoga or aerobic classes compared to relax/breathing let it go session.
Area for improvement is doctor he was not proactive and I would expect more management for overall program - E. G. Not me remind kitchen every time what they should give me or to adjust Yoga classes in accordance with doctors diagnosis.
Meals were partially individualised it was Sativa food, but not aligned with Doshas. There was modification in accordance with Panhackarma stage e.g. Liquid food day.
For Spa great expirience but for Panchakarma I would say it can be improved and taken more serious. It can be used for first time as it was kinda mix of welness with some basic Pancha moments.
Lack of management over Panchakarma treatment - I believe someone should lead you in details and do regular checks.
It was more like welness retreat.
Doctor was there but he was not proactive, you had to Go there and ask for Things

I came in not knowing what to expect and was blown away. It's the real deal, if you want an authentic ayurveda yoga experience. The food, treatments, on site caring doctor, yoga teacher. It's complete without being militant. If you really wanted, bars were 5 minutes away.
The week I was there, everyone there was like-minded, seeking growth, self awareness, improving health, and not just exploiting India for an affordable holiday (which gets very depressing). The ethnic diversity was wonderful --I am diaspora Indian and met other desis from Sydney, US, France. This felt very affirming.
Food was fantastic, satvick, plentiful, diverse. The details paid to attention such as different infusions daily, cucumber one day, watermelon the next, was also amazing. I kept looking forward to every meal -- not the goal of a yoga retreat but it was a losing battle. Food in Goa is frequently unctuous and I like this experience too but .....
Yash the yoga teacher was serious and sweet. His routines had very good flow and meditation and pranayama were serious one hour sessions in the evening. Yash teaches in a traditional Indian way-he moves along and expects that you'll.do as much or as little as you need. If you're used to western deconstructed teaching, you might get a bit lost but never fear, he's very enthusiastic about helping post class. In my case, he was super helpful after class to help adjust difficulties and fix problems I had with deep bends. In 5 minutes, I was doing deep forward bends effortlessly (I'm still in disbelief). I'd recommend chatting with him about individual problems-he is very good at diagnosis to fix and suggesting individualized exercises. We also did serious chanting before and after each session--generally absent with non Indian yoga teachers and sometimes even Indian yoga teachers if they're not trained comprehensively. The mantras were moving and consolidated the yoga experience.
Terrible electronic beat coming from other bars but good reminder that there's a world outside

Liked the location and view
Didn't like that in spite of having vacant rooms, they did not give us a free upgrade

Owners are very thoughtful and hands-on. Eagerness to serve and make this place better is apparent.
Very quiet and relaxing place. Food was good. Staff is excellent. Many nearby places to visit and explore.
Good facilities and amenities and service.
There were some teething new place issues like electricity issues. Approach road could be improved.
Also the lake water could be cleaner, maybe even clean enough to dip your toes and sit. Hard to clean such a big space I guess but one wishes it could be done. Talking of wishing, more greens in and outside rooms and vicinity would be good, as well as more life in form of birds and swans and fishes to make the place more lively naturally.
Overall it was a good stay and I wish the staff well and hope they succeed in making this a top notch property.
