Amazing friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Location is beautiful. Restaurant with delicious food, the breakfast was very tasty. Bed was very comfortable and our jacuzzi bath was a great addition to the room.
Carpet wasn’t hoovered well from a previous stay, rose petals and hair pins on the floor but wasn’t a huge issue for us as the room was very clean in every other way.

Beautiful location and wonderful decor. Comfortable open fire.

Lovely location
A live event took place, which we were told would finish by 9.30pm. The event went on (and was extremely loud) until 1.30pm followed by a lot of loud noises until early into the morning. Myself and my husband came for a night of relaxation which turned into a sleepless night. Staff apologised and all we were offered was £20 off our room price. So this evening still cost me over £100 and was not a restful evening which we hoped for away from the children for a night. Very disappointed to say the least.

The location was great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had an anniversary dinner which was excellent, and the breakfast the following morning was also very good. Our room had a great view over the Downs and a huge spa bath!
The decor in the restaurant was quite bright and could have been more cosy and intimate.

Beautiful setting and charming character . Clean, tidy, tastefully decorated . Bed very comfortable. Nice toiletries. Good coffee . Black out curtains helped! Very kind and friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner was very nice.
The room we had was above the longe/bar and noisy in the afternoon-tea time. The room is also adjacent to other rooms and we could hear coughing and sneezing during the whole night. If possible, book a room away from the above bar/restaurant area.
The beds are short for taller visitors!

Beautiful location
Friendly attentive personnel
Lovely exterior & interior with attention to details
Great Nespresso coffee in the room
Bed is too short. I did not fit in and I am not even that tall (1.85m).
Breakfast process somewhat unclear as to what is charged at extra cost or not. The a la carte choice is probably a nice option for tourists but as business traveller I do not have time for that. And the buffet choice was very limited.

We had an evening meal (4 persons) at the hotel. The choice was good, quality of the food excellent and service also excellent. Breakfast was a similar experience with a freshly cooked breakfast and a good choice of food. Since our last visit the hotel has improved and is now nicely decorated with additional facilities available.
Not sure why the bedroom radiator was on full blast when July temperatures are quite warm.

We loved the location and the fact that there was a bar and restaurant on site. Unfortunately our shower didn't work but the staff were very polite and apologetic and organised an alternative for us straight away and gave us a discount.

Good with good variety.

The staff and the food were truly exceptional. Breakfast was delicious - one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Dinner was equally delicious. Dietaries were very well catered for - lots of gluten free options. Service was quick, attentive and super friendly.
The surrounding scenery is beautiful.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The location, although beautiful, is quite remote. If like us you dont have a car then youre quite isolated! We were only there for 1 night which was perfect - we had a delicious meal and a long walk in the countryside. But beyond that, there’s not much else to do!
The room was also quite small.

lovely hotel, great staff, food is good and the beds are very comfortable.

Asthetically romantic theme. The team great in every aspect. Food incredible. Very comfortable bed. Surroundings beautiful.
No bottled water / supply of milk in room.
View not too great from this room (Kitchens etc) No Wall mirror but the bathroom one isnt fixed so useable. On checking out we were intially ignored as the flower supplier and the team member were in conversation looking at display examples on the mobile. Supplier we feel should have appolgise and stalled until we had been checked out. We were not acknowledged at all so we had to intrude and ask to check out. The flower supplier clearly wasnt a happy bunny.

2 Night stay - An absolute fantastic setting between the rolling Hills. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff including an owner. We had dinner on the 2nd night and the overall experience was great and the food delicious. Servers were very attentive and we also had a lovely chat with the owner.
We looked forward to our breakfast as the dinner experience had been fabulous. We were shown the breakfast menu the evening before and it looked very tasty. My wife fancied the eggs royal and was looking forward to it. The breakfast however was a disappointment. Some items were not available such as ham and salmon. Fair enough and I do understand; this can happen but out of the 5/6 hot breakfast options 3 required these items. So, my wife had to settle for a dish she did not particularly want. She opted for 2 poached eggs on toast. These arrived, eggs were not drained, so bread was soggy and wet. She asked for fresh toast. After 7 minutes still no toast. Her food was cold by now. She got up to ask where her toast was and told the server the food was cold. Yes, the server did bring out a warm plate of food (positive) but by that time the breakfast experience had soured. Also, the 2nd plate with poached eggs; the eggs were not drained properly again, so the plate was full of water. We did not bother raising this.
I can still live with the room issues but because of the breakfast experience I can only give 3 stars.
I will gladly give it 4 stars but the dinner experience compared with breakfast was like "chalk & cheese" :-(
OK's: The room we had was fine but is in need of some upgrading; mattress needs to be replaced. Heating system in bathroom not working and towels remained damp. The damp towels were left on the cold rail. We had to request dry towels ourselves.
