Nice big towels. Owner was responsive and helped us find the cottage and advise where to park.
Aged kitchen appliances not working or on their last legs. Smaller and less cosy than pictures led us to believe. Was hard to find and know where to park so a heads up would have been good. Games room not viable and had no door when we visited although was put on whilst we were there which went on till 10pm! But we were beyond caring at that point so couldn't be bothered to complain...

Excellent location for visiting South Downs and the coast at Littlehampton. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed for a short stay, kitchen was well equipped.
The garden was in an unexpected location and didn't appear to be very well looked after, you had to access it up a path behind the cottage.
Theres a lot of traffic on the road outside the house, so if you sleep with the windows open you do hear it.

Quaint, warm and cosy. Welcome pack.
Parking away from the property.
It will be even better when the Swan PH has reopened after the referb.

location
sour milk left in fridge.

Milk supplied & a box of cereal but not the muesli as requested.
We arrived at the property at the same time as the cleaner who had not been able to clean/make up bed before our arrival. After a long journey, it is not acceptable to jump around a hoover & we felt that our privacy/peace was compromised whilst he carried out the required work. (We arrived at the property at 4.00pm & the housework was not completed until past 5.30 pm.)

The owner was very friendly, contacted prior arrival to ask what we would like for breakfast, explain where we should park and how to find the property, we should have paid more attention to his message as the sat nav took us to the wrong cottage.
He also gave us the very good advice to make sure we have a torch light or fully charged phone for light if arriving after sunset as this is the countryside and there is no street light.
The cottage was very comfortable, clean and welcoming, with a very English feel.
The area is wonderful and lovely.
The only small downside was that the game room, as an old cellar, was very damp, but we enjoyed thoroughly the snooker.

Location was good, Wi-Fi available and access was easy
Street parking is a short walk away which is fine, but at night it is pitch black alongside a busy road.
We arrived to a cottage that had not been cleaned from the previous guests, dirty towels, bedding and rooms, and dirty underwear and a razor left. So disappointing, especially during the current times. Cottage was eventually cleaned after messaging the owner, but dirty underwear never removed. Says it sleeps 5 but the single is a mattress underneath the bunk bed with no room in the room to put it and no bedding, we luckily had a sleeping bag in the car. Some TLC and updating definitely needed.

Nice wee place was ideal for a few days break at a good price.

Pretty cottage easy check in we had no problems at all. It's by a busy road but it's so quiet at night we all slept soundly. It was cosy and did the job the beds were comfortable. Host was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed here as we were visiting family in Worthing and it wasn't far at all. It's a very pretty area and one day we will explore it more.
We have two small children so the parking wasn't the best but we managed and we parked by the art gallery in the end which was a little easier for us was a mission with a 6 and a 3 year old walking by a busy main road. Games room we were unable to use as light didn't work. No butter left for the bread for breakfast or anything else like jam etc. It could be so much better if they invested in better living room sofas and added a breakfast with the condiments included. It's lovely you get asked what you want for breakfast but maybe have a butter in the fridge or a range of cereals in the cupboard. The garden was confusing as seemed we were in someone else's garden.
I was concerned the curtains wouldn't be dark enough in the morning but it was fine but in the bunk bed room the curtain needed to be rehooked at the end. It was very hot in there be nice to offer a little fan for hot times. Says on the listing unable to accommodate a cot bed but we managed to bring our travel cot in and have it in the bedroom no problem.

Games room downstairs perfect for family time. Cute little shop and cafe just a short walk. Easy for day out to Arundel.
Shame pub had shut down as nothing else local.

great location near the open air museum in Singleton
parking, location on busy road, not easy to off load kids dogs luggage etc garden space not accessible directly from the house so children and animals need to be supervised. limited cooking utensils (no frying pan).

Great location - we had a family wedding to attend in Pulborough. Very clean and lovely carpets! Very cosy and we loved it😀👍
Nothing really - it was delightful but as the row of cottages are right on the road you were unable to park outside. However we parked our cars everything they down by the pub or in the lay-by outside the gallery. It wasn’t a major problem. The double bed in the main bedroom does creak and squeak - it’s not the mattress but the bed itself.

Breakfast confusing maybe my not understanding said breakfast included owner saying normally supply egg bacon and bread nothing turned up. Little confusing

Location was beautiful. Character property. Breakfast OK
As others have mentioned cleanliness was poor. Spiders in the dining area, Oven dirty and trays. Outside windows cobwebs everywhere. You would have thought a good clean with a jet wash or hose would have made such a difference. We used some cloths to wipe the mantle piece and window sills and they were very dirty, pictures attached. Kitchen we cleaned with Bleach and gave it a good scrub. The worst part of this we were charged a £25. Cleaning fee.
Parking not available had to park down the road in the village. Small walk but very dark at night to get back to Cottage. Steps to property quite steep if you have heavy luggage. Internal stairs are quite steep and small so taking luggage upstairs an event. Again as mentioned before the path to the garden overgrown and my granddaughter was stung by stinging nettles.
The First bedroom had a mattress that needs to go in the bin. The springs were loud and just knackered. The second bedroom was described as a single with bunk bed and actually was a bunkbed with a single mattress tucked underneath with nowhere to put it even if you wanted to sleep on the floor with it. My daughter has just recently come out of surgery and we really didn't want her in a bunk bed as and adult.
We also had no key for the games room which we were disappointed in. I have lived in a rural cottage before and there is no reason why this beautiful cottage could not have just had some TLC and cleaned with an eye for detail. We are paying customers to stay here.
I must say here that this is the first time ever I have left a review either positive or negative but just needed to give others an heads up on what to expect. It's a lovely property but just needs a bit of effort when the owner is hosting paying guests

Breakfast was a few items left there for us to cook. Pleasant enough but not really necessary. We enjoyed the rustic feel of the property and garden.
Could have been cleaner. Also the Windsor’s are single glazed and master bedroom right next to a road so we were constantly awoken by passing traffic.

It was quiet and peaceful
steep steps to front door.
crumbs on toaster.
dirty bowls and glasses in cupboard.
no curtains or frosted glass in bathroom window for privacy.

Comfy small cottage in pleasant location with helpful host
Toilet was a little small & on different floor top bathroom

From the moment we checked in to the minute we checked out the Host could not have been more helpful.
While it was not exactly spacious it was never the less just perfect for what's we were looking for.
Don't expect vast sized rooms when booking a cottage but if you want charm then this has it by the bucket full.

Pleasant stay. Relatively clean. Nice selection of breakfast collection custom bought for the family which is a nice touch.
Cottage did smell slightly damp, but It is an old property. Was next to quite a busy road.
3.8
it was where we needed to stay location wise
the bed sheets weee not clean and the double bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable

Excellent

Breakfast supplied provided. Mediocre sliced bread. Request for muesli & granola kindly fulfilled.
No functioning outside lights made finding & operating key safe very difficult. Gas cooker ignition not working. Only by calling host did we find out that matches were needed, but only an empty match box was available - host advised to go to local shop to buy some.
Mattress not very comfortable.
3.8
Games room was a fun extra.
Wifi good.
Cobwebs in bedside lamp, cobwebs in bunk beds, only one side of a curtain in bunk bed room, dirty tissue under bunk bed not cleaned away, mould in the bathroom caddy, no instructions on using the heating, blood on the pillow protector.
No instructions where safe and ok to park.
Bad feeling was felt as we paid on booking.com with all the costs stipulated, then asked to pay an additional £25 for cleaning and yet this wasn't listed at the point of us booking.
They did not provide breakfast as listed, not even milk. There were juice cartons in the fridge.
3.8
The games room was a great extra surprise. Also the breakfast ingredients were good quality ( dry cured farm bacon and bakery bread)
Parking a little tricky as no designated space so parked on the side of the road opposite the cottages, which was fine.
3.8
Did not require breakfast location great
Every thing was great
