The bed was very nice, and the pool was excellent!!

The location is great— right at the beginning of the road that leads into the Palenque ruins, so you’re at the start of the jungle but still close to town (and you still have phone service and WI-FI connectivity). My room was fairly basic although I loved the little terrace facing trees. And the common areas are lovely. Yes the pool is small but it was very refreshing at the end of the day. And the hammocks and little bed hanging under the trees were so relaxing!
I agree with other reviewers who said the restaurant isn’t very good and is quite expensive (although the staff were lovely.) I had dinner there one night and never went back. Also, I wish the pool opened earlier (it only opens at 9am). And I wish the staff would enforce their rules, because you’re not supposed to drink in the pool or bring coolers but I saw people doing that and being very noisy and inconsiderate. Lastly, I wish they had mosquito nets over the outside hammocks on our private terraces because while my room was quite stuffy (even with AC) it was so perfect outside and I would have slept on the hammock if I had had protection from mosquitoes.

Location is unique as it’s surrounded by trees and bush. Low price for the room.
The room was very basic - a bit disappointing once we got inside. A lot of mosquitos got into the room through cracks in the door frame etc.. difficult to sleep for someone who attracts mozzies. The grounds are cool and it’s probably a nice place to hang out by the pool if we had more time. In saying that, on the day we stayed, the restaurant wasn’t open, and the pool looked pretty stagnant and manky so we didn’t swim. Also after booking we got an email saying we could or should leave our cash at reception, which made everything feel a bit unsecure for me. No safes in the rooms is something to be aware of. The receptionist said it was merely a service they provide but was unnerving to have that suggested imho. But to be fair it was a cheap price so what did we expect?

Relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable, close to the ruins.

Very helpful friendly staff, lovely site. Felt like being in the jungle but not too far from town (10 min walk to the shop). We arrived early on a night bus and staff were very helpful allowing us to store our bags for a short time then check in early.
Restaurant food was fine but not as good as can be found elsewhere.

nice nature around the property with some animals running around.
the bathroom was full of mosquitos. no net was installed on the small always open window of the bathroom, so no wonder.
reception informed me that breakfast will be available 0700. when i arrived at the restaurant at that time. the restaurant staff told me 0730 is the earliest.

Thank you Patricia, Carlos and all the staff for making our stay memorable!
Very good recommendations on what to do and how to move around. Restaurant on-site is good and convenient. We loved the pool!
The accomodation was perfect, with a nice private terrace.
The place is excellent to rest and relax.
Btw we arrived walking from ADO, a nice path!

We are very grateful for the wonderful service of Hotel Cabanas Safari. Our bus broke down from San Cristobal and we had to wait for 5 hours for a new one. We arrived at 4.00 in the morning. During that time the accommodation reached out to us if we were okay and they waited for us to arrive. The receptionist is a very kind man, the owner is very professional and the restaurant staff very friendly. We felt very looked after and would return to our comfortable cabana with the best shower!
Nothing.

Very nice accomodaties with swimming pool/chill/restaurant area
Some money had been stolen from us. We suspect that this was done by the cleaners of the room

it was really nice staying there - away from the busy centre and close to the palenque arc zone
cold shower

the garden area is nice
Rooms were not very clean, sheets and towels neither. Rooms need renovation, especially the bathrooms.
Staff wasn’t very friendly and helpful. I asked for late check out, which they refused despite hotel being quite empty. They didn’t provide any pool towels.

I liked the setting of the accommodation, very green and a nice pool.
it is not far from the city, but as a person travelling alone it’s not really the place to meet people. also walking from there to the city center didn’t feel very comfortable.

Rooms clean and cool! Lovely pool and restaurant close to ruins. Quiet place to stay perfect for families.

Nice little houses. Good beds and clean bathrooms. The pool is also good but on the small side maybe.
It took some asking and waiting before we got the remote to our airconditioning but this was because it was lost before.
4.3
The place is truly a lil' paradise inside the jungle. So relaxing, so you can reconect with nature and with yourself
The woman at the kitchen was not in the best mood and the food was ok. The rest was amazing

Staff were very friendly, ambience was great and rooms are delightful. A perfect place to stay when visiting Palenque.

everything. it really feels like you’re staying in the middle of the jungle, but with all the comfort of a good hotel. The reception and hotel team were amazing. we arrived really early (around 10am) and they got our cabana ready before 11am, no extra charge. When we checked out, our bus to the next place wasn’t until 9.30pm and the team let us keep our bags at the reception and we could use the pool area as well which was so refreshing after a really hot day at the ruins. We had most of our meals at the restaurant in the hotel and even though it is a bit more expensive then you would pay if you went to the city, the food was really good and the service was brilliant. I would highly recommend this place to stay for an extended period to anyone. We absolutely loved this place and wished we could stay longer. and the location is ideal! on the collectivo route to the ruins and walking distance (about 30min) to the city centre.
only that our stay there was too short. the place is perfect.
