Jules & Ausra have created a beautifully accommodating and comfortable place to stay it had everything you could possibly need and more. So many lovely thoughtful little touches throughout, from gowns, tea and biscuits, hair dryer, even special little touches for our dog. Local amenities and plenty of places to eat nearby and a variety of good foot paths to walk on. Would love to return and would highly recommend

Amazing hosts, they were super helpful and welcoming. Room was very nicely furnished and clean. Comfort of a high end hotel. Animals were really cute as well.

Historic and extremely charming, Rowrah Hall provided us with exceptional lodging and hospitality. Jules, co-owner with his wife Ausra, have renovated an ancient property (1705) into an artfully designed boutique hotel that is a delight to the eye and the senses. Our large en-suite room featured a big four-poster bed with top-shelf linens and mattress, furniture that felt less like a hotel and more like a beautiful home, tiny twinkling lights in the shuttered windows and an array of tulips from the 10,000 bulbs Ausra planted across the lawns outside the manor house. Jules is a great conversationalist and a talented cook: our full English breakfast left us wanting nothing more for the day. If we could only live there!
A silly question. Our stay was memorable in every way!

This is a beautiful property in a fabulous location and our hosts could not have been more friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of a mess up with the booking but everything was sorted out quickly and with a minimum of fuss. We would definitely stay here again.
Nothing at all.

Where the place was set, in a lovely countryside.
Loved how big the room was and the little extras like slippers and dressing gowns.
Expresso machine wasn't working properly and the tea and coffee bags didn't get replaced as we stayed 2 nights and used them up in the 1st night.

Would have been perfect if served drinks, appetizers, dinner and breakfast especially since nothing walkable nearby

The property was fabulous, and the hosts had thought of everything you could ever want in a room. The cleanliness throughout was the best we'd ever stayed in.
All in all a lovely stay.
Not a great deal going on in the immediate vicinity.
Plus with such fabulous grounds at the hall it would have been nice to have some extra seating on the grassy area ( there is seating on a side patio area though ).

I love this is place, it is so authentic and the hosts are amazing! They have payed attention to every little detail. It is veery clean, very cosy. In a very quiet area. Perfect location if you want to explore Ennerdale water. Another amazing thing, we could see the stars from the front yard :) I really loved the place I wish I could stay more. The towels were smelling so nice and they were so soft! Will recommend this place to everyone that wants to go on the west side of Lake District!
No cons so far!

The Large Room, Confort & Cleanness, High Quality on the room standard products (eg. Coffee, soap, ...) and on the room facilities
The refrigerator with the milk inside
Nothing special to say unless maybe to consider not including some of the extra quality not so necessary details (like a robe and spare slippers) so the price can be reduced. Anyway, if you like to have a posh stay, this is definitely nice for you.

stayed here for 1 night after a long day of travelling through the Lake District countryside and couldn’t have been more happy with the service and facilities at this b&b.
the king room was more than big enough and the beds were very comfortable , large flat screen tv and a fridge with some snacks available, would also recommend a breakfast in the morning as their cooked breakfast is delicious and the variety of stuff is brilliant.
All in all for the price of this b&b it’s a a must to stay here 😊 will definitely be back.

Jules & Ausra at Rowrah Hall answered my questions promptly before our arrival. They were friendly, welcoming, accommodating & very helpful. The room was spacious, clean & had a lovely view. The decor & furniture were nice. The flowers & reed diffuser fragrance created a relaxing atmosphere. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The en-suite shower room was spacious. Tea, coffee & biscuits were provided. There was an excellent coffee machine & a fridge in the room. Jules even heated up our food for us. There was free parking & wifi. Rowrah Hall is in a lovely, quiet part of the Lake District. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ausra showed us a lovely cottage on the site that is also available for booking.
There was nothing that I did not like.

The lovely clean, comfortable accommodation. Jules and Audra were wonderful hosts and couldn't have been more helpful. A lovely breakfast, even though they were not actually doing breakfast at the time, really grateful as had a long journey.
There wasn't anything to dislike.

An extremely welcoming place, highly recommended. Julian and Ausra were awesome hosts.
The room smelt amazing, spacious, extremely clean and the over standard is definitely 10/10
Everything is perfect, could not have wished for better hosts.

New, enthusiastic owners who've only been there a few weeks and who greeted us at the door having heard our car arrive. The room we stayed in (King room) was large, clean and had everything we needed including a small fridge. Very quiet and peaceful area. We like the location as it's close to great walking in the western lakes but in an area that's not as crowded as Ambleside and Windermere. There are also some good pubs close by.
We were a bit confused about breakfast. Many of the websites call it "Rowrah Hall B&B but we weren't sure if breakfast was included - currently it isn't as the new owners get themselves organised. However Ausra offered to provide us with a continental breakfast during our stay. We didn't need or expect much but were blown away by what we got each day!

Location was great for exploring the top of the Lake District.
