We had a great stay overall. The third floor (kitchen and living room) is spacious, cozy, and offers stunning panoramic views. We even saw the Aurora from there, which was a highlight.
However, the downstairs area felt a bit small, especially for storing our six large pieces of luggage. The narrow, steep stairs made it difficult to carry them up to the bedrooms, so we had to leave everything downstairs. The property has two bedrooms—one downstairs and one on the second floor—and two toilets (one downstairs and one in the upstairs bedroom), which was convenient for our group. All the rooms are clean.
The host was fantastic—responsive, and very supportive. The location is ideal, with easy access to the Blue Lagoon. Papa's restaurant, highly recommended by the host, was excellent; we loved the cod and pizza.

Close to Blue Lagoon, which was our plan for the night we stayed here.
Beautiful views from the house.
Clean and it had all the facilities/amenities needed.
Host was waiting for us near the airport to take us to the house.
It had only one shower and it was broken, so we couldn’t use it. We were told only when we arrived, which was unfortunate, as we had a long trip and we couldn’t use the shower.
The living room and kitchen were in the third floor, only accessible by stairs, which is inconvenient if you have kids or elderly people in the group.
Not good value for money. It was the more expensive stay in our trip to Iceland and not the best.

The location and the views were superb.

the views were lovely and the top floor living space was spacious and nice
the stairs were narrow and steep and had no handrail. this combined with the fact that you had to go up and down because of the layout made it an exhausting place to stay. the lighting in the bathrooms was not good, no counter space. no place to sit to take off / put on shoes in the entry hall. getting charged a 250 euro cash early check in fee when the house wasn’t even rented the day before seems unreasonable.

cleaning wasnt bad but might be improved (e.g. the kitchen), the coffe machine wasnt working or we didnt find the way to make it work, in that case a 2 lines instructions for guests might be helpfull, 3rd and last 2-3 windows had glasses not broken but chipped for some centimeters or half a meter, this might be related to stones or heavy wind debris. not a functional problem of course, but for the average price per night this kind of basic things must be fixed

extraordinary rental; the view is incredible, and the facilities are unique and well done.
steep stairs, so fair warning for kiddos. ours (4 and 6) were fine but I did have to remind them to slow down a few times.
a few glasses that are a bit more stable / not glass would be nice!

brand new. comfortable and well equipped.
very nice contacts with the owner to prepare our arrival.

Loved the open plan top floor and the ever-changing views.
It was very warm and we had to open windows which is not a complaint it just goes against the grain. I'd loved to have had a thermostat to turn the heating down but I appreciate these are not common in Iceland.

amazing and unique property
No USB sockets and not enough plug points

Fantastic location, it felt remote but not isolated (we still managed to get some food delivered in the middle of some quite bad weather!). The views were spectacular and the property itself had such a comforting but modern and polished feel to it I couldn't have asked for more. Getting there was an easy drive from Keflavik airport - thankfully as we arrived in a red weather for winds and rain warning time so I was very glad for a short drive and such a good place to stay to see the storm pass over while we still got to experience seeing and feeling some of the wilds that Iceland offers! Inside everything was perfect and there were basics there so we would not have been stuck if the weather had stopped us going out for a while. Really a great property, so unique, it was one of the more expensive places we stayed at during our 11 days but we thought it was absolutely worth it for the experience. Can't recommend this place enough.
Nothing to add here it was great.

Great place to stop off at only wish we could have stayed another day.

This is such a unique house with a really cool industrial style. Everything is comfy and cozy but modern too. Very warm place to watch windy cold weather outside. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We chose this property because it looked so well designed and we were interested in staying somewhere a bit different. It was fab and we were really impressed with the attention to detail. The hosts left a lovely note and a bar of chocolate. The lights were on when we were arrived and everything was spotlessly clean
There was a couple of cracked windows and we couldn’t use the balcony. Our children are older but the stairs are very steep. I did notice a stair gate though but I am not sure I would stay here with babies or toddlers.

This unique beautiful home was a highlight of our holiday. With the unpredictable weather in Iceland it was great to have such comfortable base to come back to and relax. The 360 view from the top floor was amazing and we felt emerged in the surroundings. The balcony was good for northern light spotting. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to make family meals. We saved money on eating out and enjoyed chilling out in such a lovely environment. There is great artwork around the house and something nice to look at in the house from every angle. The supermarket, bakery and swimming pool were only 5 mins away and the boys also enjoyed the smart TV. During our stay we visited the Blue Lagoon, Reykjavik, Geothermal areas, the beach, footbridge between the North America and Tectonic plates and many more geological interesting places.
It was an effort to get motivated to go out as the house was so lovely 😂
