It's an old building that is quite beautiful. Location is perfect. Check-in/check-out straightforward. The staff was also great, helpful and friendly! The private parking made us feel more comfortable.
Because it's an old building the showers weren't working properly, the washrooms in general were old.

I liked that it’s in a good location and the architecture is nice.
I don’t think they cleaned room because the restroom was full of dead bugs and the toilet seat was full of pee drops. I cleaned it up because I had to use the restroom.

We loved Hotel Mision Santa Isabel. Our room (221) was spacious and had great views of the Ensenada port for sunset. We stayed there over Christmas and enjoyed lovely times in the Ensenadan culture. The staff were helpful, and we liked the quirky historic charm of the building and neighborhood. The hotel is immediately adjacent to downtown Ensenada's central district, really good food, and the Malecon. It's only a few blocks from the legendary Hussong's cantina, which was a wild ride on Christmas Day. I would gladly stay there again if we're ever in Ensenada.
My only complaint was the hot water, but the hotel was underbooked on Christmas and it may just have taken a long time to heat up. The front desk guy checked it for us and said it had warmed up, which I later realized it really hadn't. But I'm also a gringo and I'm probably acustummed to hotter water. Still totally worth it and a minor quibble.

The location and the hotel were great. Lots of parking which was secure and easily accessible. The hotel itself was beautiful in a hacienda style layout. Nice communal courtyard with pool. The room was very comfortable and the the staff were friendly and supplied additional amenities when requested. It was very central, close to great restaurants, bars and the beach and marina - all within easy walking distance.
On the first and second night the hotel was so lovely and quiet but there were a few very noisy parties of guests who seemed to delight in shouting to each other across the courtyard from outside our room, quite ruining the peaceful ambience of the hotel. Not the hotel's fault of course.

We love the room facing the harbor area (Malecon). The hotel still keeps the magic of the old Spanish constructions and is steps away from everything. The staff was very cordial and helpful.
