Great location, beautiful views from the balcony.

the location and views
there was no wifi all week and when we arrived the water wasn’t working until 11pm when brown water came through. we then had to make out sheets that’s fine but didn’t expect it. no food in apartment there should be a vending machine in reception for late arrivals so you can eat . the balcony had ice on it so was a death trap

Ski-in / ski-out
Comfortable bed
Bath.
Poorly designed space - open corridor, lack of storage space. Small details like straight hooks rather than curved so out ski jackets kept falling off..
No oven, only a microwave.
Bathroom had clearly not been cleaned.

The views from our room were amazing. The staff were friendly.
The horse or snow cat taxi to take you to and from the hotel are so disorganised and not reliable. We ended up giving up waiting for one and had to drag all our suitcases down to the cable car. Thankfully we could manage by ourselves but it's a nightmare for anyone with kids or carrying ski equipment !
The reception shuts in the middle of the day which is really inconvenient, when we arrived we waited around for 5 HOURS with all our luggage until we could check in which wasn't until 5pm!! And they don't even have anywhere to leave your luggage becuase that is also shut so if you arrive early you are just stuck waiting until they open we basically wasted a whole day.
Also check out is 10am apparantly if you stay longer than 7 days ! We stayed exactly 7 days and got a phone call saying we needed to check out even though I was told it was 11am checkout! Why do you pay for 7 nights when you can't check in until 5pm and have to checkout by 10am?
You have to make your own beds on arrival, you have to strip the beds when you leave, take all the bins out, make sure all the kitchen is clean, so why do they need you to check out so early when you've done half the cleaning yourself anyway and the next person can't come in until 5pm?

Good location for accessing ski-lifts and exploring the Portes du Soleil area.
Comfortable sofa-bed.
Access to accommodation with baggage from Prodains express chair was difficult, particularly in soft snow conditions. Access pathways need to be improved for foot traffic.
No access to wi-fi in room, despite four (4) attempt to resolve this issue (via reception).

nice views given the location high at the resort
reception was closed durų h our stay, so we had to go to another one in another building. ski storage was tiny, you can’t stock skis and boots, in a way that snow doesn’t fall, same you can never fit all snowboards. bed linen was provided wrongly, so we needed to call and wait for someone to bring it. we asked for two rooms closely and reception indicated that small and big rooms are not at the same floor, but after checking the evacuation plan we saw that there was actually plenty small rooms at the same floor were our appartement was.

Location, assortment of activities and amenities in the area.
At our arrival, hangers and a kettle were missing from the room. We asked for these on 4 separate occasions. It's a common sense that a family with 2 adults and 2 kids will need to dry their pants and jackets. Hangers should therefore always be available. The speed at which the staff responded to our please was appalling. Also the door on the fridge was broken (didn't close properly).

Perfect for a couple. The view from the apartment and to live what Avoriaz stands for.
Too small for 4 persons as it is a very small apartment and with a very basic kitchenette (and poor exhaust) and small bathroom with weak water pressure. Balconies are not well maintained, in fact, they are scary! A bit overpriced.
